Sometimes when writing Interactive Fiction, that allows the reader to branch between male and female perspectives. I often think of the choices as a parallel universe, like… How would they/people around them act based on their sex? And then sometimes I try to blend the worlds and make it seem as if everything or both perspectives are happening at the same time, while also trying to create an RPG game-like interface. I don’t know if I managed to convey that properly here but…
SYNOPSIS
Im Single Since You Left is a short text-based game, that’s actually complete at like +10k words. In it you assume the POV (Point-of-View) of a writer, who is struggling financially while also coming to terms that their first love is meant for someone else and not them. (writers assemble!!!)
Anyway it is more choice orientated, than stats orientated because I also wanted to make it available as an ebook as well (which is also supposed to be free to read by the way…I think some platforms might charge though).
And despite it being short, your choices will affect dialogue/scenes, as well as the ending gotten.
