Hi there!
Thank you very much for the kind words, first of all.
1)The “glasses option” is something I’ve been pondering, especially as it’s possible for you to fly around as a superhero without any kind of mask. Right now it’s on the backburner, but a future draft of the game might include some little detail about how you disguise yourself in your civilian ID.
2)I’m not familiar with that game. Regarding combat, right now all the fights involve pretty standard stat tests.
3) Power level is something I’m always vague on (just like the comics!). I’d compare the MC to Superman as portrayed in the 90’s cartoon and some of the earlier comics: you can knock down a building with your bare hands, fly, move incredibly fast, etc, but you can’t run at light speed or shift the Earth out of orbit or anything like that. Someone shooting the MC with a handgun might sting a bit, a cannon shell would probably knock you back but not seriously hurt you.
Liked what was there so far! My favorites are Slim and Poppet, kinda wish you could let her go just like you can let the orangutan go - maybe if all the villains you have “spared” came back to help you in the final confrontation that’d be cool? Also, imo you should do some slight rewriting of chapter 6, introducing a couple more Utopia flashbacks for the MC, so you have the same amount of flashbacks for both MC and Poppet, to really drive home the point that the two were basically groomed to be heroes by different societies, and how that makes them similar and different.

Right now, I’m thinking of Whisper’s attacks as a bit like any of the classic “blaster” characters (Cyclops, Green Lantern, etc), in that she can modulate how much energy she’s using in an attack. So the kind of energy she’d throw to knock out an average person wouldn’t knock out the MC, but if she pulls out more energy she could knock out/potentially injure them. Similarly, Silenus the Orangutan has energy weapons and other nasty tricks that can give the MC a hard time.
Basically, the way I think of it is that each member of the Silent Order could give the MC a bad day under the right circumstances, though for some of them it would be more through trickery and evasion rather than an all out brawl.

Thanks for your comments!
Hmm, sparing Poppet is an interesting thing to consider. I’ll ponder that next time I’m reworking this chapter.
That’s a great suggestion re: more time on Utopia. I might work in more smaller segments in Ch. 6 where you see flashes of the homeworld.
Yeah, sparing her would be nice, or maybe have a thing where you can have her tell her story to Jane so she investigates/exposes the organization (Thracian?). Here’s a girl who was experimented on and a reporter chasing scoops, seems like a match made in Heaven. (Alternatively, journo MC could choose to publish it himself.) Something so that chapter has a more feel-good ending, like the orangutan one can have.
Awesome! I’m excited to see how this game continues to grow. There’s so much I’m eager to learn about this world and these characters in the upcoming chapters.
That’s a great suggestion! For now, that romance arc is starting with the superhero identity. I’m trying to balance secret ID stuff with the player’s time as a superhero, though I’m working on some ideas to let you be a little more active as a civilian, including romance arcs. I don’t want to promise anything yet, but rest assured it is something I’m thinking about.
i really enjoy the game! I love playing a genuine hero who want to help people.
I think some explanation about the stat is nice. I’m unsure about when to use the stat “Control” and “Integrity”.
Perhaps it’s me, but I would like a friendship choice option in my last conversation with Jacky. The first and second both sound like rebuff and the third is flirting.
i feel that the story is construct around some ideas that can’t be move:
The secret id doesn’t matter u get the same result with minor changes. Why give choices ?
When u meet ur villain boss for the first time u understand what type of story u read. (it’s A or B choice form countless video games that are here to give the reader the impression of choice).
At the end of the demo, the brainwash scene give more confusion. It not easy to follow the story.
All and all the story begin right, superhero adventures and team building and then fade into confusion. The choices need to be reworked or give maybe less choices to the reader.
I wouldn’t say the first fitght with the conqueror was that bad, of course i was a little discouraged, but we’re talking about the current strongest villain in the story, of course MC has to get humbled in the beginning.
But the next time they fight is more fair and balanced, because our hero has learned as is more attentive to the Conqueror’s movements and strikes.
I understand (and share) your enthusiasm, but it’s against the rules of this forum to ask about updates because it puts too much pressure on authors. Most CoG writers have to work on other projects to make a living, and many aren’t even full-time writers. We’ll get an update when it’s ready.
Hello everyone!
Just letting you know that two new chapters are up at dashingdon. Everything is still in revision of course, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Ohh this is good stuff, but I feel there is less time to socialize with people other than MC’s inner circle.
I think as an alien I want to be in touch with people experiencing slice of life here and there, there is little need for masking our identity beside hiding the fact that MC’s is alien, government running background check on MC will came out as nill, MC doesn’t exist and just pop out outta nowhere.
I think the story would be great with more human interaction be it in good or bad situation, I was pleased that there is option to play pool with IT gang it maybe inconsequential and not do much to the plot but it’s a chance for MC’s to experience what is it like to be human, what do they do and hopefully shape MC’s personality, I like more opportunity to have that interaction, I feel this is too focused on being heroes we barely know who is our teammate or people close to us.
Like who’s Hacksaw when not Hacksaw? What Sky pilot do in his spare time? MC also barely know anything about slim.
MC could have a hobby, do something in the spare time, cooking, fishing, etc to flesh out more about MC?
