Hi, i was wondering if a combat build is viable in this game, i mean, Kubesh, because the only way for me to beat Umbrave when i pick the duelist group is to have 40+ combat (i think), and to get to that point i end up having bad stats on the other skills, basically is there any way for me to have high stats in Combat and another skill?
Also how do Abilities work, which ability tests which stat? or don`t they test stats?
@NevilleDaRosa I’ve found that Kubesh builds are generally viable, although they tend to be tougher than, say, Rosin builds. You’re right that this particular game tends to force you to pick and choose which stats you excel in. Not counting Montage, which depends more on dialogue choices, by the end of the game I generally have one stat at 45+, one at 40+, and all the rest less than 30. It takes decent planning, but you can usually pick up one other skill besides Kubesh and pass almost all the relevant skill checks for those two skills in WW1 and 2.
From what I can tell, there isn’t necessarily one particular skill that works with a certain ability, it’s just that with certain checks you need both the necessary skill AND the corresponding ability. So for instance, succeeding at one particular Telepathy dialogue choice might require 40 Rosin AND Telepathy, while another might need 30 Bree AND Telepathy or Exemplary. I don’t remember all the skill checks exactly, but I believe the most common stats needed for abilities to work are Rosin and Montage, which is why I think a Rosin build is the easiest.
So I haven’t played this game in years and can’t remember anything about it romance wise. I’m starting on the first one and want to know if I choose not to romance someone, will I be able to in book 2 for a certain dance?

that being said, we’re still working on three. It’s probably about 2/3 done, and i’m hoping it will get attention after Halloween release from my co-author Mac Rea, who is currently getting caught up on the code and storyline (there’s a lot to familiarize with and untangle). This whole year kind threw us for a loop, (and is still if im being honest) but i’m hoping to finish next year and maybe even release, but i make no promises as WWU3 seems to be cursed >_<;

Oops! I didn’t know that I was violating the rules, I won’t ask a question like that again. Thank you so much for responding anyway. I actually see that I was confused, because I’d heard about a release in the series that was going to be out early October, but I didn’t see anything yet in CoG on iOS where I play. I assumed it was WWU3, but obviously I was wrong. I’ll resist my temptation to ask when Mac Rea’s Halloween release will be ready… I guess it can’t be too long if it’s Halloween
No worries on 2020 throwing you for a loop. It has with all of us. I’m really impressed you managed to get a novel out, so I didn’t mean to sound greedy, I’ll be grateful for the book and for WWU3 whenever you finish it. I’ve read the first 2 novels as well, and will read the third, I just happened to be in a game mood more than a novel mood.

Hi all,
Trying to play this game but having problems getting the character I want during creation. Trying to create a warrior so assuming it’s best to be a Kerra so your following cubesh. I then selected all the things that linked to warrior such as good at sword play and to be a great warrior. However when it gets to naming the character there does not seem to be a name that enhances the warrior name so is it best to choose the name name linked to stealth and get that stat up or is there a name I am missing. I am assuming that it is better using one of the inbuilt names as though’s names improve a certain skill set. However what I have noticed is when I pick one of the main four races there is not a name that matches that skill so it’s hard then to pick the character you really want. For example when I tried anganie I selected everything to do with faith and purity but when it came to selecting the name I was finding it hard to know what to select to make each main races way as high as it can be as the four races don’t seem to have a name that match there spassiffic god.
I’m just honestly so happy that this is alive again. I bought this back in 2015 and I loved the new update and I totally missed how sweet Sem and Jun are. Ah! I would love to be a patreon, but I got laid off from work because of Covid and I had both books restored on the omnibus app and I am just so happy and thankful! I’m so glad that WWU3 is on the way too!

Super hyped to see this on Steam, and it even seems to have achievements (I don’t recall those being back on the versions I played). I can feel the exasperation from some of them like Crushing on Semryu. Gotta wait for payday to grab them but I am excited to get to experience more of this world.
The point boost from names is fairly minor, I think it is just 1 point so it is largely just for flavor. But if you are desperate the name “Lavi” from Aralim gives Strength.

Hi I’m new to the waywalkers university series and I want to know how to not die in the first book
It depends on the path you take, I think. If you go to visit Ilyan, for instance, you need to have a high magic (Rosin?) stat, and free Ilyan when given the opportunity.

I think you always fail, since the teacher hates you. But I might be remembering that incorrectly. It’s been a while since I actually played.
