I normally prefer focus, but I like going Azure path. However it seems that Shade Shards (form) and Focus Blast (focus) are kind of the same. They both *shoot* so to speak. If your going to do that, how about form is more physical and focus attacks, when not enhancing your skills, are more ranged. Although there probably is a better way to do it.
EDIT:
Some more stuff I found:
“Okay I’ll help you out (maybe I can get into the team properly)” (there is only one game left in the season, and the other person is out for the LAST game. What’s getting into the team properly going to do for one game and one training session)
Is New Jersey in NY? If not, then it’s not a local zombie outbreak
“Cheerleader? That’s cool” “Cheerleader? Maybe you can show me some moves later?” (It’s asking “Cheerleader?” twice. Perhaps get rid of the second one and just have “maybe you can show me some moves later”
“Victor is missing, we think he has gone after the vampire.” (promoted him to Gamma. Unless I missed something, when did he come back?)
The one werewolf is slightly larger than the other, (One of the werewolves)
The other beast had a more lighter shade (has a lighter shade)
it seemed more lithely than its opponent (seems more lithe)
Had Jack say, two lycans, then no one of them is a werewolf, then caged them both, then the team was still slaughtered. So you need to look into that (you said if he corrects himself they live. Unless Jack went spaz and killed them)
Well, NS, invisibility doesn’t bother me. Since shadows are nothing but the absence of light, one would have to assume that the power over shadows is actually photokinetic in origin, perhaps just warped by the spiritual and psychological damage done to the MC when their family died and their mother played with their soul.
From a sci fi standpoint, one would assume that the PC doesn’t manipulate shadow, but rather absorb light to empower oneself. So invisibility would just be manipulating light with a bit more finesse.
If anything I might suggest adding some illusion powers to cloak's repertoire. Perhaps only shadows moving at lower levels, completely realistic looking at higher levels perhaps. You already have a scene in the game that makes that seem possible.
As for focus, as for focus blast it just seems like a variant of form. Instead of giving a hunk of shadow solidity, you just give it direction. It’s a laser blast.
As for focus enhancing skills, I can think of some theories. If the PC is able to use light to control their bodies instead of the electochemical processes of nerves, the PC’s reaction time could be limited only by the bodies actual ability to respond. That is what I assume the Azure do to move even when they should be dead, bypassing their nerves to control their bodies directly.
As for strength, I always assumed that it was the PC releasing controlled burst of focus in the opposite direction of their movements, turning themselves into living rockets. Limiting their strength only by the body’s ability to absorb damage, but since focus can apparently form subdermal shields to protect the body (like when you get shot and Ren makes what should have been a lethal shot to the lightest of flesh wounds), even that’s not as much of a limit.
But for those theories I would suggest having the former boss from the Beta path being exposition gal.
Just started episode one and I’m liking it a lot except I really, REALLY hate my aunt and uncle. Does the player character get to confront them later? Or make it very clear I do not care about them at all once I graduate? `Cause it’s actually starting to concern me how much I loathe them.
Not quite… but if your playing NG+ (not sure if its in a regular game, haven’t done that in ages) there is a scene where the game asks if they helped you at all. Why don’t you like them, if I may ask
I quite like the Photokinetic as that sums up the Azures power quite well they manipulate their wings (which are light energy). So it makes sense that by shattering the wing, the only thing left in the absence of light would be shadow.
I’ll work that into the universe when I do the revision.

Oh and amusing idea came to me about the nature of the PC’s shade powers versus Azure powers.
Azures shine and glow, so presumably they generate light, but if the MC generates shadows by using the light in the area, well then that suggests that shade use might require a minimum of light to function.
Or to put it more poetically, “Shadows can’t exist in the darkness,” but in an area with enough light, why a shade using PC would be an azure’s equal, capable of shade weapons that could cut through anything or focus blasts that disintegrate the target completely.
You think maybe we could mix our shade powers? Like if you decide to master shade you can do something like use cloak to make a clone of yourself to distract enemy then use focus to boost your speed form to create a sword and attack.
Shade requires concentration so it would be possible to do it when on your own, but the slightest hesitation or distraction in an actual fight would ruin it.
currently trying to decide how best to deal with the Azure’s ability to shepard souls. I am thinking a certain number of souls results in a new wing or each soul let’s you improve your control over one of your abilities. so here is my next question what do YOU think YOUR soul is worth? I.e. what do you think taking a soul would do to your stats?
