UnNatural - A supernatural horror game - editing complete, beta testing over

@NS

I’m assuming as you mature and learn to use your powers more you will sprout another wing. Your mother had 3(?) and she was *good*. I’m thinking stealing souls should be a shortcut to power whereas saving them will take longer. Or stealing a soul can recharge your powers (e.g. You have already used angelus twice, steal a soul and the limit is back to max)

Would there be any way of combining shade power in game. In my head I pictured using form with focus to make me a super quick/strong synth wielding reaper. Like with the claw and fang the first werewolf quest -if that’s the name- I would of liked to create my weapon and then use focus to make sure I had the agility to hit the wolf first.
You’ve said it takes concentration to use shade but what if you became skilled enough to combine them like I said.

It doesn’t matter how skilled you are you still need to concentrate. You can have no skills with form yet it requires concentration, doesn’t mean it will work.

No, Wolfie, turn on the lights and shadows are created.

 Honestly, NS, I'd say it depends on how common you want to make the opportunity to eat souls. If consumable souls are rare, than each of them should give a significant boost, if you start handing them out like candy on halloween than the boost should be much less powerful.

Yes sword but the shadows are hiding while the light reigns supreme. And what are shadows but darkness, and what is darkness but the absence of light. And if the light creates the shadow, the light, as the creator, is still more powerful. No matter how you slice it, light rules.

it is possible to use powers in sequence ie focus to get behind target then form to attack just not at the same time

Regarding the stat boost for souls it should depend who you took it from. E.G. If its going to increase physical/mental, stealing the soul of a strong dimwit would increase your physical stat but not so much mental due to his lack of intelligence. Should also increase willpower because the wings (correct me if I’m wrong) are aspects of your soul? And as such requires your focus and will (not willpower stat) to use and form to your liking (angelus, etc). Could also say that’s where willpower resides, in the soul.

An unnatural’s power comes from an aura which does come from their soul. Where as every other unnatural had a aura that is my like a blanket of energy surrounding them. The aura of the azure is more refined and concentrated (in the shape of their wings).

@everyone

Revenge path coming along slowly, does everyone want to kill them all, or would an option to spare them be appreciated? I am already planning to let you spare one due to the fact they joined the day your parents died and weren’t actually involved in anyway.

@Nocturnal_Stillness Maybe they could offer a way to contact Alex for their life? (Whether this is just a manipulation is upto you)

@NS

Yes kill them, kill them all.

Edit: was playing over the T&C case the other day and noticed that jack (and presumably Denise) die now if you make a wall.

Don’t know why I didn’t notice it before, but jack says two lycans, before saying werewolf, yet if you don’t get him to say werewolf, and you make the wall, the game acts as though you told the team they were werewolves

@WolfieGrey

strange I’ll look into that. you should be able to save them still.

Does shooting the correct wolf save them as well? Because every time I do it will say they both die (unless i shoot jack with bronze). You should look into the Denise version as well to see if that’s okay

yes shooting the correct wolf should save them but unless you have the firearms variable you have a 50/50 chance of hitting who you aim at.

hmm… maybe I keep missing but like I said, both will die (unless I hit Jack with bronze)

@WolfieGrey

the code seems to be correct. can you tell me what your mental stat was during that case?

Sure. I’ll have to play through again though. Do you want a complete walkthrough of what I did or just my stats?

A walkthrough would prob be better. but I’d settle for your mental and shade stats plus what ammo you choose should be enough to see where its going odd.

I’ll pm it to you. In the meantime:

Family murdered - “while not News…” (news?)

“practice using focus for protection” Ren never mentions you can do that

The light always wins, Wolfie?

Tell that to Black Holes. They absorb light, so they're dark, while the event horizon of the black hole is brighter in the heavens than the stars themselves. So pools of darkness in the center of more light than even the sun produces.

Black holes eat suns, the darkness consuming the light.

The darkness of black holes even creates light, which flees from it, from millions of points in the night sky.

 And that's all very appropriate from the game, since NS has agreed to the idea that Azure creates while shade absorbs.

I guess my reaction to the aunt and uncle was a little extreme after a very long day but the moment the pc’s uncle took the newspaper article and more or less said “try and find any more info and you’re grounded”, it really did anger me. I imagine in the aftermath of such a terrible tragedy one of the most common and helpful ways to cope would be trying to find out everything possible so that statement came across as being told to ignore your family’s murder.
