The Fifteen Minute Writing Challenge

I just need to write my scenes. I have 6 scenes to write and I keep procrastinating on them.

6 scenes? Wow. Good luck with them!

I have homework to do, as an interactive fiction for next week.

I better not procrastinate. The challenge of today was to write the first words, and I wrote the story of one character.

I wrote mine with code in–I just didn’t tweak the code or neatly write in all the *sets and #options because I would have not proceeded very quickly if I’d tried to be tidy. But I feel the same way as you do–personally, I can’t write ChoiceScript without adding code as I go; my brain won’t cooperate. For me, the code doesn’t feel separate to the narrative text.

I’m glad you found this fun! I did too! I hope I get the chance to participate again this month.

@FairyGodfeather Fifteen minutes is great for me, too. It’s not intimidating, and I can often find fifteen uninterrupted minutes if I try hard enough.

10 minutes and I have no idea what I’m writing today! I suppose it should be one of the NPCs I haven’t written for yet. Decisions! Decisions!

Write a scene involving a branching choice that no one’s going to choose on the first playthrough.

I have 12 of those already… isn’t that enough for one chapter?

Ha! Great idea! We, the Fairy Godmother, will do the crazy things that shouldn’t be done!

Now to decide what that crazy is!

I just continued writing my scene I was working on, so I sort of cheated.

615 Words
3165 characters (no spaces)
3761 characters (/w spaces)

So I dunno ifthis counts.
