Now, Kat had never watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Alex was quite horrified, and one night, he forced Kat down to watch it. At one point, she made a comment about wanting some popcorn, and Alex vanished for about two seconds before suddenly appearing with a large bowl.
(that’s all I got, somebody add two sentences and we can turn it into a collective group thing lol)
We see Damon and Sarah coming in, looking mortified upon realizing they couldn’t bribe the rest of the team, and MC refused to let them outsource their gear to professional cleaners. (For some reason, Damon is washing, not just buying another suit. Something about becoming one with the common folk)
Everyone stands in a long line in front of the washers, Owen and Alex casually going about it as usual, Owen going through the pockets to make sure he hasn’t missed any bullets or spare change. John is on the side at a tub, pressing cold water into his blood-stained clothes, while reading something on a tablet nearby.
Kat is sitting on a bench behind Alex, reading the ingredients on washing powder, her own small pile next to her. She looks more than a little confused. Shortly thereafter, Alex stops to help her but she tells him: Alex, no. I got this.
Soon enough the washing room is evacuated as the combination of too many suds and Sarah not realising metallic dresses should be hand-washed led to the rapid decommissioning of the washing room.
This led to an irate Alex, as he realised fixing this room was higher on the priority list than building the ping-pong room.
I feel like the funny situations are gonna make this game great.
@Nakami_Nukaim I think he either is afraid of the responsibility that comes with his job and how other people’s lives hang on his decisions. Remember how the reporter told you how Damon was her first real article, and also the nervous man in the lobby needed help from
Damon or else that man and his entire factory were going to be laid off. That’s a lot of pressure even for Damon, he has to face it every moment of his life now he is a titan of industry. Haveing that many people rely on him to make the right decisions could very well be his worst nightmare.
But that’s just speculation so far. I’m very curious what John is afraid of, I figure it’s him turning into a person like Carbone . Owen is , well , I really don’t have a clue to be honest.
I feel like Damon’s nightmare is a philosophical one, due to his intellect, and the fact that he’s stuck in his company.
Might be a bit of: You are never more than this. You put on a show, you get whatever you want- but what does it amount to? You see how many people with so much less than you so much happier- they don’t have money, or power, or knowledge, yet they are satisfied. Is it because they have people who actually care about them? Or is intelligence the thing that actually makes me miserable?
Miserable in the fact that I can take what I want, yet never be satisfied?
That I will rule the world as I please, and no matter how I clawed my way there, no matter how I decide to change things from my view on the top, I will never find meaning in it, never find pleasure in power beyond what I used to have upon the human joy of gaining it.
@Mim The image of John casually washing his blood-stained clothes in the laundry room totally made me giggle.
@Sneaks The extracurriculars are also going to trigger unique dialogue and the like, but that’s also going to be stuff that I go in and add later, for the most part.
Love all the speculation about Damon’s fear. While there is a correct answer, it’s meant to come off pretty ambiguous, fitting with Damon’s whole “never tell the truth when a lie will do” persona. Plus, Damon really, really, really doesn’t want you to show weakness in front of you.
What really sounds like one of the reasons they could break up over, when MC readily shows him their weaknesses. It’s really not fair if only one person ever lets themself be vulnerable in the eyes of a partner during a relationship…
Not that I say that romanced Damon would not be vulnerable in front of MC, but sometimes things like that have to be treated honest and not be hidden away (why even are you doing that if you’re anyway in a romantic relationship?) otherwise it feels like someone having serious trust/commitment issues…
I think you should add them in while the story progresses, having a time where you can freely talk to characters is refreshing but you should make it relevent to what is happening in the missions and how character interaction is engaged. For instance the whole Damon hates John hates Damon is going to come to a head eventually but not in the first scene. The best way to capture this is by doing them as you go, I’m not saying you should not jump around in the chapter but just try and keep it close so at least your in the same mind set.
So i passed by the game multiple times before actually trying it. And i am glad i did try it. It is in my top five of my favorite games on here. Granted the dream part could have bean longer but i still enjoyed it and have bean trying every possible outcome
Oy! I thought this WIP was dead from what I heard, I never actually played this before but many people seem to mention this game, specially WIP’s they want to bring back from the dead.
Is it just me or does any one else feel that Alex is still alive and this is a sort of team building like the ones he does in the past, to bring all the team together and tie every single loose ends in the group.
