Magikiras (Finished) - Beta Testers Needed!

Sorry I need a little more clarification on this. Did you run into Morgan at the top of the tower and failed to defuse the bomb or did you run out of time and never got to defuse the bomb?

I went through all rooms at the twelfth? floor and was called back by my team when I tried to follow Morgan up.

@Cecilia_Rosewood Okay I made some changes to those lines of codes and re-uploaded them. Let me know if it still happens or not. Thanks.

Nope, it’s still there…

(And now I have to play through the chapter again to figure out that bomb thing. Darn you for making this game too awesome :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

Okay…I think I found what the problem is this time. Might be a savegame glitch that is causing this. Give it another shot again and let me know if it’s fixed this time.

It’s fixed now (that and that it suddenly seems a lot easier to get to the bomb defusing part. As if time doesn’t run out as quickly. Might just be my imagination though)

Yeah, already suspected that, but I’m a little bit paranoid when it comes to potential spoilers… Too many people that won’t talk to me anymore about books and the like.

And I found a little inconsistency, in case Altug isn’t in the know of the “job”. When Larry is asked they make a remark about the couples night ; still on the next page it says: “Hopefully, your partner doesn’t freak out about this since you didn’t mention the couples night .”

Minor update with a bit of Chapter 11 inside as well as an optional puzzle since the puzzles have gotten a bit of a positive response thus far. To access the puzzle, fiddle with the lock in the trapdoor.

OK am sorry, but can’t figure out how to diffuse the bomb no matter what I do so can someone PM for explanation please.

Solution for diffusing the bomb? It goes like this. each time you put your hand over an icon, another icon flashes once and a third icon flashes twice. Three icons defy this rule: your hand over the red icon causes the orange icon to flash twice, your hand over the violet icon causes the blue one to flash once and your hand over the black icon causes the all the icons to flash. The number of flashes indicate which icon should have gone before it and which icon goes next. Black is the odd one out so it either means that you don’t hit it at all or you can hit it at any time.

If you really don’t want to think that much, it’s red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet. Black can be hit at any time but there’s a bug that I just noticed in this update so don’t hit it before the red icon. To be safe, hit black last.

Hey there, so I read your story over and yet again just how amazing and awesome can this story get. though, found a few typo’s. Here they are in their original dialogs:

Outside, you find that Nnaemeka is waiting for the twp of you and you both stare at him.

*She glances at you in annoyance before saying, “I’m blaming you for this, Balogh. Corporal {sname}, if you want an order, then bring First Private Lee in dead or alive, preferably the latter. Is that clear recruit?” You tell her that it is. *

Furthermore a few small things I noticed, and wanted to ask you about.

So in the story where you chose shadowfiends to be you main enemy I notice that morgan himself can in some parts come over a little more humanlike then when you aspect being, you know… taken over by a schadowfiend. Like in the part right here;

Somewhere in the distance on another building a hundred meters (away?) , you think you see Morgan and you take a closer look at him.
He salutes you before turning to run away again.

I would like aspect a little les humanlike (or spot-like (if that is what you wore going for) reaction like… ‘He watches you with an intense gaze for a few seconds before turning to run away again.’

Then again if you say no, I’m cool with it so,…

Then lastly a small part where you meet with Larry, Morgan. Larry seems very mad at Morgan ‘the person’ even though he (knows?) about him being taken over by a shadowfiend. Especially in this part;

Larry bursts out from his hiding place and aims his rifle at Morgan and says, “Don’t do anything, traitor!” Morgan glances at Larry briefly before turning his gaze towards you once more, apparently awaiting your next step.

I’m a bit unsure about the word choice ‘traitor’ since you usually call someone who deliberately, with his own mind betrays you, which in this case Morgan got none to very little of ‘own will’.

Then again your story, your choice.

Then a little question to end this long list.
(hehe sorry just trying to help  )
Will it make a difference later if you ramble out Edgar, for him working for the enemy?

So I hope this was helpfull, thank you for reading it till the end. And I wish you luck on the story and pray for a new part soon.

Also I believe this should be shown on two pages?

Can someone please tell me how to solve the message riddle. I tried a hundred times but I simply cannot get it right. Maybe I am stupid or something but please someone tell me the solution. But please no clues or hints, I had enough of that, I simply want to get it over with(I suck at puzzles)

@Emmelienxd Thanks for the typos and suggestions. Yeah it should be two pages but I won’t worry about the formatting since I’ve already written past that part so the formatting error should be done and over with. Currently, the biggest difference between ratting Morgan out or not is that you get his help on at least two or three occasions in the current chapter if he’s not arrested. I will add a few more differences in the ending which will come after this chapter is done.

@BK201 and to others who are still struggling with the message, take the first letter of each word. Capitals and commas indicate a new word.

As I near the completion of the latest chapter (probably within two to three weeks is my most pessimistic estimate), this will soon be moving into writing the ending of this particular story. What do I do then? Just a question to be tossed out.

This is almost the end already? gosh wow… You sure know how to keep your fans from their time, which is a very good thing btw. I really really am enjoying your game and find it thrilling a new part is coming up soon… As to the question what you should do next… Well I have no right to tell you to do it, but for the future, I would LOVE to see more of your work. So I hope you start making a new storyline. Then again never mind the rambling of a fan :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: do what you think is best.

Yours truly,
Emmelienxd

I love this demo and can’t wait for the game to come out.

I’ve been trying and trying and I just can’t seem to get past the keypad puzzle about the knight being exiled from the castle. I even got people I know who are good at math (including a math teacher) to try it and they couldn’t get it either.

I’m probably doing something really stupid like not putting the dashes in or something but I’ve tried every solution I can think of with nothing, and failing the puzzle ends the game for me.

Someone please have mercy on an idiot.

You’re not supposed to solve it as a math puzzle. Follow the story of the “Knight” who starts from the center of the keypad. Remember, he’s a knight. Also if you fail the game because of the puzzle, that means you’ve missed out a lot of things at the start of the game because chapter 11 is a timed chapter.

For those who wants to know what the puzzle is without playing the game, here’s the puzzle copied from the game itself.

The Knight is exiled from from the Central Kingdom and makes his way north-west before wanderlust claims his heart and he travels across the lands, making his way south first, visiting each land once.

As promised, this is the completed Chapter 11 of Magikiras. Fixed the keypad puzzle so that it looks more like a keypad and added a few more variables to the startup so there’s a need to restart from scratch unfortunately. So after a short break, I will be working on the ending at last. In the meantime, feel free to sling your hatred at me because of the final puzzle I’ve tossed in at the very end
