Trying to decide on a GO, was hoping for an easy cheat by asking for opinions, rather than writing out a couple chapters and flipping coins for a decision.
Story idea:
Play as a child as you navigate and live yet another summer’s day. Play with friends, family, or just by yourself.
Conflict, if encountered in the play through, will mostly arise through talks and interactions as you learn and become more aware of both the dangers in the world as well as what others may deal with.
(Conflict and resolution will not be the purpose of the story.)
The main intent of the story will be to create a plethora of different story routes, dialogue interactions, and endings.
More story than game, but many story altering choices.
Story idea:
A likely confusing blend of first and second person perspectives, following the life of an orc. (It may potentially just be in second person, depending on how utterly nonsensical it feels as I read the first couple chapters.)
Your choices will primarily be experienced from the perspective of the Sun, with the orc being the MC.
The primary conflict will be the (hopefully) alien perspective of the Sun as it watches over its “child” as they navigate a (potentially, depending on how well I can figure out how to code) LitRPG world and become a “hero”.
The main intent of the story will be me heavily fucking around with poetry, something I often do in most things I write, but this certainly being on the heavier end. It may be a messy or potentially boring read.
Will be much more story than game.
Story Idea:
With war seemingly inevitable, make your decision to flee or fight. Abandon all you’ve known in life for the chance of safety, or brave the horrors of a seemingly unwinnable fight.
Gather your courage and say your farewells; there are rarely correct choices.
The main conflict will be that of morality, expectations, and consequences. There can be fighting depending on the decisions made, but it will not be the primary focus. (I have learned I’m kind of shit at fight scenes.)
The main intent of the story is to allow players to navigate social pressures and obligations placed on you by the society you live in. Extremely character and dialogue driven, and highly impactful choices will likely be low. This story will be pretty short, but I hope to make up for the lack of agency and length with emotion.
Will be nearly all story rather than game.
