Found CoG while looking for text based games online, Choice of the dragon is the first game I played, and one of my all time favorites.
I was >attempting< to write a multiple choice book similar to the tiny paperback ones you come across every now and then (except mine was planned out to be significantly longer) and a friend recommended Choice of Games. I have to say my favorite CoG is still Choice of Broadsides.
I found it after Alter Ego as well! After playing AE I wanted to find more interactive fiction, so I Googled it and this was the first site that came up. Iâm still very glad it did.
I found Choice of the Dragon in the App store about five or six years ago, then I lurked for two years before I finally made an account.
I found out about COG after playing Wizards choice by winter wolves. Then I looked up similar games and found choice of Dragon, and choice of romance.
I was looking for a good zombie game and I found Zombie Exodus, after that I looked for information about a sequel or something and I found CoG, but I never entered the forum since 5 months ago when I misclicked on âForumâ, then I created an account after lurking for almost 3 months
@eqs189 Wizardâs Choice isnât by Winter Wolves.
yeah I didnât remember the name of the other interactive game companyâs name
it was by Delight Games
I was on the Hanako game forum, when she pointed out choice of dragons. Been hooked since.
Found via âChoice of the Deathlessâ on Steam. Got the game on sale thinking âwhatever, Iâll try itâ and was just blown away by how much I enjoyed it. So of course I had to look for more!
Hmm found out when Rock Paper Shotgun did a piece on CoG checked out choice of dragon and broadside which got me interested ever since.
I was a big fan of Facade, and looked for a game like it. Choice of Kung Fu just happened to be one of the suggestions. It still remains as my favourite CoG.
The other ones that I played were⌠fine. Some were buggy, too short or didnât appear to care what decisions I made. I guess my standards were set too high with Choice of Kung Fu.
About three - four years ago a class mate was playing choice of vampire in class, wasnât sure what it was so she explained it to me, then gave me her phone for lunch because she wanted to see how I would play. After that I was hooked. It did take a week or so to track the game down for myself (since it was on her phone) , then after that I was happily surprised that more games existed
Well I had a fresh longing for a new game on my iPod , and Iâm a dragon fanatic, so I went searching for a game related to (and hopefully play as) dragons. I found and downloaded choice of the dragon, and thought it was fantastic. Stayed up late finding all the endings, hours upon hours playing it. But then one day, when I went to play again, it gave me a timer, saying I couldnât play until the timer went up unless I paid. I deleted it, havenât played since. To be honest, I started harboring a dislike for CoG in general, by when I bought another product of theirs (Life of a wizard?) I saw that the stuff I paid for would be a quality product. But still being naive, I just thought they were out to rip people from their money. Fast forward a few years and I got into coding. Took a course or two in Java, and fast forward about half a year again, and while looking into ways to code a choose your own adventure style game, I come across CoG once more. The old dislike was nowhere near at itâs peak, so I decided to look into what it would take to publish a game through CoG. Then once I started looking through the forums, I finally understood why the pricing is as it now is. I found out what portion goes to the authors, and that most of itâs just to keep CoG running. So the dislike faded away, and I actually liked the idea of something that could give people a way to put their games out like this. So I started coding a few WIPs, and well, after using the forum more and more, here we are.
Heh, I was actually looking for a completely different game whoâs name I canâ remember and accidentally stumbled onto Choice of Dragons.
Found it through Steam after giving the Heroes Rising series a go and Slammed. After that found the website.
Well. I was on my ipad, and I decided to check out Play Store to download a few games because I was bored. The first game I played on COG was ââChoice of dragonââ. COD got recommended to me and I decided to download it because I was curious. And oh boy I fell in love with COG. I was just really upset that a lot of these games werenât free, although I do understand that the authors need the money. Iâm just really petty.

Well, back in the heady days of 2010, by golly, I was on one of them roleplayinâ forums. I stumbled right up tâ Choice of Romance, anâ I fell in love that day, I reckon. Took âbout three more years till I had this olâ account, and the rest is history.
I Saw Lords of Aswick on the playstore and gave It a shot. Now iâm addicted to this.
