holy crap y’all this week kicked my butt (i had several non-IF commitments unfortunately.) but we are back to writing chapter 1 FINALLY. finalized (hopefully) revisions to the prologue as well, and now up to 35,000 words of ch1 (including the first real combat scene AHHHHHHAHAHAH)
will update after the end of this weekend hopefully i’ll be up to 45,000 words (if not then at least 40,000 i pray)

YAY thank you so much!!! hopefully after the next update the prologue will be better, too, i did some revisions here and there bc the story and characters started becoming sharper in my mind !! i am REALLY excited for chapter 1 too i’m writing a cute part of it right now and dying like omg i really have no one to talk about this with. ok WOO got to 45,000 words! hell of a weekend but super fun and productive 
over halfway done with chapter 1 now, i just have two more “hangout” scenes to write, a short phone call (with two variations), and then a conversation at La Table and then DONE!!! hopefully will be out for public release on nov. 20 as planned <3 if sooner that would be AWESOME but i don’t want to rush hehe. okay much love just wanted to give that quick update

hi all! just wanting to let everyone know i am now at 55,000 words, i was sick AGAIN yesterday (ugh winter always kicks my butt) so a bit behind but alas such is life hopefully will be able to get a good chunk done today, feeling better so should be good.
ALSO! just letting everyone know that my schedule for this month has gotten a bit more hectic due to a job change, so i am now aiming for public release of Ch. 1 on Nov. 27 (hopefully). i am really hoping to get it released to the public this month but the patreon will be able to access the release first, so i have to account for that 10-day difference. sorry for the change in timeline i lowkey was feeling WAY too ambitious when i first set the deadline for myself lol. sorry again thank u all for ur flexibility!

just hit 60,000 words—still on track for Nov. 27 public release. i may end up changing the Patreon to release only 7 days early for this chapter, though, for any of you in the Obsession tier. mostly because i didn’t do much of anything the last few days (lowkey that election made me so depressed). back at it now, though!

UPDATE:
hi guys so my new job is really fun but lowkey REALLY taxing so i am not going to be able to write as fast and as often as i have been up to now. for that reason i’ve paused the patreon for the next month while i figure out my schedule and i MAY just end up discontinuing it completely because i feel bad charging for content when i won’t be able to release it on the timeframe i’ve been working with up to this point.
that said, i am still hoping to release chapter 1 this month but i’m trying not to pressure myself to do that if it ends up being too much (i have big finals coming up and work a good chunk of the week). i will continue writing when i can but just so everyone knows it will be slightly slower pacing from here on out <3 much love.

hi all! work has continued kicking my ass. unfortunately i went from just doing freelance writing gigs to working 30-40 hours bartending AH so i have like 0 free time right now while i focus on graduating from my last class of college and working the busy holiday season. that said, chapter 1 is on the back back backburner while i get my life together a little bit.
i plan to update later next month or in january — i’m so sorry that chapter 1 isn’t going to come out this month but it should only take me 3-4 weeks of work to finish it up once i’m able to write again.
MUCH LOVE AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONEEEEEE i will update when i can, please send prayers that my sleep schedule fixes itself soon <3

Given that it’s in part a romance, why not just wait until February to release the update? It gives you a little more time, even.

What you have here is amazing. It’s really, really good and the chemistry between the MC and the coach RO is so electrifying I could actually feel it. I’m definitely looking forward to the release!
That said, I can’t help but feel this story was written with a female MC in mind mainly due a bunch of little things in the writing that don’t necessarily mean anything on their own, but paint a clearer picture the more they add up.
Things like the MC getting creeped on by a random guy on the subway, being used to suffering unwanted advances, having an automatic “totally-not-a-crush-ok-maybe-a-little-crush” on the male genderlocked coworker RO despite the player’s sexual preference, and the MC going to the bathroom to “freshen up” and apply their “signature fragrance.”
It’s not automaticlly a bad thing since the story still works, but it was admittedly immersion breaking for me. It makes me wonder if the story would be better served with tweaks or if it should be written with a specific MC in mind instead of a blank slate one.

these are such good comments!!! i have been brainstorming the past day how to resolve all those notes and i think i have a plan. i’ll update it all with the ch 1 release and i’m glad u like it so far otherwise!!
