DC Raven's Loft

I have ten items that fall under misc. Was hoping to have about 50 items so could use some more ideas. So what would you think would be good?
Current items: 50’ rope, spike, hammer, pack- this will allow you five extra slots to carry with, mirror, flint and steel, graffling hook, empty bottle, water skin_ holds enough for 5 drinks, ration.

*edit was wondering if there is any way of adding the picture into the *choice? I tried but it just comes up with an error. The reason is I think it would make it cleaner when choosing your pc’s pic, instead of scrolling down through the pics then making your choice it would right there on the choice button.

*Choice
__#Human Male
___Are you sure what to be human?
___*image human_male.jpg
___*choice
____#Yes
_____*set whatever
_____*goto wherever
____#No
_____*set whatever
_____*goto wherever
__#Dwarf Male
___Are you sure you want to be a Dwarf?
___*image dwarf-male.jpg
___*choice
____#Yes
_____*set whatever
_____*goto wherever
____#No
_____*set whatever
_____*got wherever

Would that not allow them to see an image?

Thank you @CjW but you have to click each one then to see the pic, lol that would be a lot of clicking.

There are other ways you could do it but you’d have to edit the javascript code, which at this stage, I don’t recommend if you’re planning on getting this published.

@CJW nods I am staying away for the most part from moding the JS. But as this grows I my end up having to as I am finding limitations for what I want todo. But for now just working around this as best as I can. Its way to early to worry about mods.

If you do decide to mod it, let me know and I’ll be happy to help

Thanks @CJW

I experimented with pictures in the choices for my comic but couldn’t get it to work
I think that would be a great addition to choice script

So like instead of a big list of text
You could see the items your choosing

I would love that

Like this?

Yes, how did you do that @CJW?

Added img HTML elements to the innerHTML of the button elements via Chrome’s element inspector/editing - it’s not an actual modification I made, but it’s technically doable, by all means.

@CJW Ok lack of sleep on this end. Lol so how do I do it?

Yeah @CJW I’m interested as well

With some difficulty… I didn’t actually “do” the above by code, it’s just a visual demonstration.
I’ll let you know if I devise an easy way to implement it.

@CJW that would be awsome, thank you very much.

Oh that addition would be great for my comic

When it came to making choices I hit a dead stop
because it felt strange not to show the choices as pictures.

I plan on putting an update out on late Sunday, but the next few updates may only be art work.

The reason is global mod. I had designed the orginal around the use of the global mod, but it was causing problems so dropped it. The files I would have to write to make it work would be well off the scale that is reasonable. This would affect load times, and be a nightmare to debug.
Not too worry I have revised the setting but now find I need to write Raven’s story to help define the new dungeon design. I won’t be sharing this as it would spoil the whole dungeon setting.

Once I have the story and the design done will continue with the rest of the programming of the player setup.

Were the problems all related to it not fully loading global scene before searching for the labels?

That and dropbox was having a fit. Would not load from drobox half the time, even moving it to my server still nore times then not it would not fully load. But I am not concern, this really made me think hard about the design which I was so so about. Now I have something in mind that I really think rocks. So in the end I think it was a good thing. Of course still think global mod was a good idea but not all that important at this point.

I have an intro for the game now

RAVEN’S LAIR
A drakness known as the Great Council controls the land. This darkness had lasted for decades, it knew no bounds in its blacken soul and enjoyed the misery of the people.

Those that were brave enough, or more likely fool enough to even outter a word against the Great Council would quickly disapear along with their whole village.

It was during the spring festiable that you heard the story. A fairytale most say, but even then with hope that it might be true. A secret, only told in muffled tones over ale so few could hear.

Salvation lay in a twisted mountain in the grasslands of Saven. Within that mountain lay something that scared the Council to its root. No one knows for sure what is hidden there. Any that have gone to find out have never returned.

Perhaps it is a fairytale, nonetheless you are driven to find out. To bring back what maybe your peoples freedom. You pack quickly and leave telling none your plans.
