Dare to Dream - Work in Progress

good game!

One thing only why are you making the female robot character first?

awsome game cant wait for more

@Player Why not?

Wouldn’t the butler be the safest gender option to start with?

Not overly muscular or manly not female either…

Just saying I don’t really care anyway you already have an established storyline with the female so continue.

@Player,
I understand where you are coming from, and those ‘origins’ will be implemented soon. The Adanna one just happened to be the first plot line I had, and therefore it was the idea that I had worked most of the kinks out of. Since this demo was just for feedback purposes (to see if people liked the writing/available choices, that kind of thing.) I guess I didn’t really consider if people would mind testing as the opposite gender, etc. By the next update, other gender options will be available.

Don’t worry, wolfwriter20. Releasing in this particular fashion is not uncommon.

Just something I noticed why is the average human five something feet tall. If modern nutrition is still kept then average hight would be six seven feet tall

In the real world, average human height for an individual with a well-nourished youth ranges from 5’6" to 6’ in males, and a bit shorter in females.

This may sound off topic but do you play civ 5?

Yes but thousands of years ago when humans were nomadic people were seven feet tall. After we became adricaltual based we mainly ate a few foods based on our region. And now with advanced transportation and refrigeration we are growing taller and will continue to grow taller

And civ five is fricken epic

I am talking about the quote which is the rules for robots

That was in I robot and several other si fi series to not just civ five or this or any thing else

Anything by Isaac Asimov, and anything inspired by his works. He’s the one that wrote them in the first place, I believe.

Correct!!! YOU WIN…Nothing!!!

I-Robot the book, to be exact.

I’ve never played Civ 5, but I have read I, Robot and Space Odyssey and other things by Issac Asimov.

@cagye_bee,
In the society of the game, especially American society (which is where the demo takes place), human society has stagnated as they have allowed for robotics to take over even the simplest of tasks for them (if you optimized Steven’s schedule, you can see this by how upset he gets over having to go to two meetings that day. The horror.). Incompetence, illiteracy, obesity, malnutrition, etc. are at an all time high. Instead of eating healthy, health has declined, with high calorie foods being the normal for each meal before they go and sit on their butts all day while robotics handle most of the work. So even though it is true that current trends might indicate that humans will continue to grow taller, the game exists in a universe that delves into a possible outcome of over-reliance on technology.

So any new updates

@vampier sadly, no. Between work and Dark Knight Rises, I haven’t even worked on the game since Thursday. But tomorrow I will be back at it, working on coding the other gender origins.

O that sucks but still it a awsome game and cant wait to see more :smiley:
