Anyone has these games backed up? (SOLVED)

EDIT: I got a back-up of these games now! Thank you to everyone who reached out a helping hand.

So, Dashingdon went down months ago. I was busy at the time it happened and couldn’t save/back up my favorite titles in time. I’m wondering if anyone has these two backed up?

I’ve always been fond of greek mythology so I held these two games dear in my heart, even if they were left unfinished. I’ve lowkey been crashing out over not being able to save these in time because I really, really loved them. I really wish that the phrase ‘‘what goes on the Internet stays there forever’’ was true

Try the Wayback Machine. It sweeps the internet and copies websites and may have an old copy of Dashingdon with them on. When it works you can download from there, but its been victim to cyber attacks recently.

Those games were absolute gems. The blend of mythology and unique storytelling really made them stand out on Dashingdon. It’s a shame they disappeared without much warning.

I tried to do that but the games were broken on the wayback machine. It wouldn’t let me play, but I have back-ups now so it’s fine!

I 100% agree with you. Although, Rohie is supposedly working on Children of the Gods again, yay! I really loved the OG story. I know a rework was in progress, but tbh I was never fond of the concept. I liked being the underdog, the whole being raised by Athena/Hades thing and being chased by hunters storyline. I hope the new version will be more faithful to the original storyline. Aeson was my favorite. I still have a soft spot for him, several years later.

As for WotS, it really blended funny/humorous tones with serious tones well in my opinion. It was silly, crazy, but so much fun. I got attached to the characters, especially Altair. I remember replaying it over and over again just to get all the different choices and storylines. Despite being an unfininished demo, it had a lot of meat. Although I do fear that the author and the cowriters bit off more than what they could chew when they made the 13 constellations ROs and gave each of them their own unique storyline.

These games were iconic. It’s funny that people still talk about them years after they were put on hiatus/canceled. I doubt the authors knew they were going to impact someone’s life so much by just having fun and messing around on DashingDon.
