why flag it then when you could have just said that
you said it was inappropriate whats so inappropriate of a question like that so yeah i think you should think before flagging bud just saying
i wasn’t looking for an exact time for release i just wanted an estimated time of release so i know when i should be ready to get a google play card
‘Inappropriate’ is the term used to flag things that go against the forum rules. Asking for a release date, or even an approximate of that is against the rules, because it puts unnecessary pressure on authors. If you want to get a heads-up on when a game is going to be released beforehand, keep an eye on the upcoming Hosted Games thread. More information about the release date of a Hosted Game should show up on there when it becomes available.
It is globally pinned to the top of the list with topics, along side the Choice of Games variant of the thread unless you decided to unpin it at some point in time. It really is quite hard to miss.
Well poop, I guess I’ll just wait like a patient little girl for the finished thing. In all seriousness though, I trust Lyle and Jillian more that I do Rachel (which is odd because she has been shown to be nice to us versus two con artists who were out to rob us from the star). Something about her just … rubs me wrong in all sorts of ways. I think my main MC is going to end up with the short end of the stick because she finds it hard to turn anybody away who is need.
I feel like this late after release most of the errors have been found in the current version, but just in case it wasn’t I noticed some weird terminology in the scene with the eighteen wheeler and the cop if you choose to live in the country and have unarmed as your primary weapon. Stuff like “You grab your hands” “Your hands grip your hands tightly”… or something like that.
@JimD
I found this spelling mistake in chapter 1, when I chose to gather supplies.
I was an engineer with science 63%.
Sure enough, the book sits high on her bookshelf.
Your bookshelf.
I found this spelling mistake in chapter 1 as a mixed martial artist who boxed. I knew that the brain had to be destroyed.
I chose the option:
“I have to kill him. He may attract other zombies or find a way in.”
@JimD
I found a bug in the boarded up home. I had strength 50%.
I chose to take the botany book, then the generator but couldn’t take it despite having space for two items left.
When talking to Sifer I was a teenager without a dependent child and chose “Do you need anything?”
“I’ve lost my sister and my parents,” I say, honestly.
“I’ve lost my sister and my parents. I have no one left,” I say, hoping to make her sympathetic. Maybe I can use it to my advantage.
I didn’t have a dependent child so the options should be changed to:
I’ve lost my parents," I say, honestly.
“I’ve lost my parents. I have no one left,” I say, hoping to make her sympathetic. Maybe I can use it to my
advantage.
I found this spelling mistake in the three story home. I chose to “Answer the ringing phone” and “Your father is dead,” I say. He deserves to know the truth."
I didn’t see Flora or read the note.
as soon as we hang up, I’ll look around for her."
As soon
On both Fred’s and Sean’s doors it says that ‘a large black X has been painted on the door’ do these mean anything?
I found this mistake in the soldier prologue when I went to the meeting at base, when I chose:
“I wait for help and call my base to tell them of the accident.”
You pick up your cell phone and dial in to base.
Your smartphone.
I found this mistake as a nurse when I went to the hospital.
I always assumed it was meant to be one of those markings FEMA and co. use when a building’s been searched. It might’ve been the National Guard or some other survivors. It’s hard to say.
I have a question that’s been bothering me since I started replaying. When I call Parker on the first day, I get this text:
In the kitchen, you search through a list of contacts you never programmed into your new phone and spot a number for Parker. You lift the receiver to the house phone half expecting the line to be dead but you hear a dial tone. As you dial, you wonder if anyone will answer. You don’t know Parker very well, but now seems as good a time as any to get to know your neighbor.
The phone rings six times with no answer, and voice mail clicks on. You leave a message for Parker, asking him to call back anytime
But then when I call him the second day I get this text:
“Hello? Angel?” Parker says, his voice agitated. You haven’t seen Parker in a few weeks, which is rare since the two of you quickly became friends a year ago when he moved in. From early on, you were drawn to his sense of humor and laid-back attitude while he maintains an outstanding work ethic and sense of responsibility. In addition, he has a unique spirit based on his Asian heritage and devoutly Christian beliefs.
Maybe I’m just overthinking things, but that kind of confused me, I guess the impression that I got from the second paragraph was that the character was at least kind of close with Parker, but not as close as they were with Jamie.
Going back to martial arts, did anyone else chose BJJ? That’s what I train in irl. I love most of the others, but, and as a practitioner, I might be a little biased, I think it’s the most practical for my MC, a low strength but high dex and intel teen. I tried to make him as close to my actual self as possible.
@Lithophene
would you release it around the same time the game launches or would it be more or less like a planned DLC to be released at a later date?
Not sure yet but leaning toward releasing the game with no IAP and adding them later. I want people to play as written and then add in an easier mode for Part 2. But it depends on numerous factors like how Hosted Games’s queue for publishing looks when I submit, if they even want me to do it, and other things.
Predicting such things is tricky. Hosted Games is usually a 3-6 month waiting period for publication, so if I submit in September, I hope to see it in stores by December.
@WolfieGrey I think it’s valid to have bare hands for both, maybe just the wording is not correct. I hate to say “empty” for a single hand. Maybe unarmed is better. Ideas?
I hope to share more about this toward the end of Part 1.
@aegis.kitty with ZE and ZE:SH, it is generally better to include people rather than turn them away. More dynamic groups add drama
I need to adjust the text. In the beginning, I wanted him to be an associate, whereas I later determined he should be a friend. I forgot to go back and alter earlier text, so thanks for pointing this out.
Thank you JimD thats all i wanted to know instead others complicated things, i didn’t exactly know the length of time for publications for either hosted game or choice of game but now i know
don’t understand why they had to make a fuss over me asking an estimated release date when all had to say was what the publication time is
@The_Chosen_Plump Authors get the question a lot and it’s generally something we don’t like to answer because part of it is out of our control. Plus the forum rules ask for people to refrain from asking so while it may not seem like breaking rules, it’s technically frowned upon. While you may have asked it nicely or had specific reasons, many times it can lead to authors feeling pressured.
I am always so late on deadlines, asking me probably won’t matter
Well, @JimD, the fact you liked @StarshinaSokolov’s post definitely has me thinking the marks were made by bandits now. Now I can’t help but think that it’s Driver and co. trying to find our MC (if our MC has met them). Considering they used to appear a lot more before their content got temporarily pulled out of the demo, I’m definitely leaning towards that now.
