@Lithophene that’s an interesting theory
@Bugreporter it’s a huge spoiler, something with so much explanation, I am reluctant to post it here. I’d recommend waiting, but if you want to know, PM me.

Well, hey… with most of my MC’s, I either tricked them into thinking I had a militia behind me or that I was skilled enough to take them all down on my own.
If I was a bandit, I’d put the pieces together and say, “Hey, that guy probably has a lot of good stuff we could loot”. I would also say, “If we take that guy [and his militia] out, we can expand the radius of how far we can raid”.
And that’s why chapter 4 will be so important. Will YOU become a raider or a survivor.
I’d like the PM please.
I love spoilers, so if there’s a spoilerific PM going on, I’d like to take part in it, please
Also, Jim, can our group become some kind of post-apocalyptic law-enforcement/armed forces? I’d love to make a living out of shooting raiders…For the greater good, of course
@Bugreporter okay it will take a bit of time. I have to finish a report for work so I don’t lose my day job.
Then again, I guess I’d have time to write more.
@StarshinaSokolov
Sure.
Yes, after reading the ZE RPG group play, I have a good idea on how to start such a group in Part 1 and progress to a militaristic unit in later Parts.
That’s hot. That’s a hot choice, @JimD. I could be more eloquent, but I think that gets my feelings across pretty well.
Seconded. I wouldn’t mind seeing these spoilers either.
Thirded! I want to see all the story details!
At this stage I will just post it here since so many people want to know. It will be in 3 sections with progressively worse spoilers. If you read them, you risk reducing the impact in the story for when things are revealed. It’s on the level of knowing Tom’s motives too early.
Also, some of the clues have not been added in the current version.
Minor Spoiler:
The X is being made by another NPC who will join your group. The NPC is marking cleared houses with no people or people off limits.
Major Spoiler:
Rachel is marking houses that she can skip for her activities. If people leave or houses are cleared, she marks them.
OMG-don’t-click Spoilers:
Rachel is an ex-assassin who realizes the world is going to hell and has started scavenging homes and clearing away people she feels could get in her way. She struggles emotionally with the murders she has committed but in the apocalypse, she feels unchecked and unhinged. More about her personality and motives come up in future chapters.
Response to OMG-don’t-click spoilers:
Yay, I almost had her figured out. I thought she was working for a raider group, not an ex-assassin…The part that said my character dated her threw me off tracks
In response to the OMG-don’t-click Spoilers:
Damn, Rachel an assassin? I did not see that one coming. Oh well, that just makes for an interesting plot, and an even more interesting character
In response to the OMG-don’t-click Spoilers:
wow my characters are really going to get dicked over, she was one of the few characters I trusted 100%.
Response to OMG-don’t-click Spoilers:
That makes me want to shoot her with the gun she gave us.
Gun? She only gives me a machete ‘-’
Characters I trust 100%: the nephew.
That is all.
I have a hard time trusting my protagonist XD
The only 100% trustworthy character is the dog.
My dog will never betray me.
NEVER
She gives you a gun if you have no ranged weapon.
Uh… to the people talking about what’s mentioned in the OMG-don’t-click Spoilers: maybe put everything in spoilers? I mean, I read it, but for the people who don’t want to read it, you’re kinda giving away spoilers without meaning to. Just saying “she” or talking about an already existing NPC giving an item is a bit of a throwaway spoiler.
Yes, please use the spoiler tag.
