You ARE the good guy here.
Your just trying to manage a group of people that would end up dead eventually without you. By ruling them you bring order and control to there lives…
From that perspective this makes you a good guy. Others may not see it that way but they are just villains trying to spread chaos and get your people down a path that would lead to their doom.

Just because you can be in charge of a group of people who might be dead without you doesn’t mean your intent as leader is moral and therefore good, you can easily keep them alive so they can serve as pawns to further your own goals. Also you may not even care about all the people you’re with you may just intend to use the one’s who can’t pull their wait as zombie bait or a human shield to soak up bullets. Also, I can see that kind of logic make the Silverthorne’s the good guys because they’re doing the same thing as us keeping a group of people alive the exception being that they have already gotten rid of the people who are considered a burden.

I wonder if JimD will actually let us join Keith’s group to raid and pillage if that’s what we decide.

I think it will more likely be a ending like becoming a radier in the original zombie exdous

@Jordaan1 @iEch0

I think Silverthorne is more “civilised” than the Raiders in Original ZOmbie Exodus, which i don’t meant Silverthorne is a Good and Honourable faction, but at least Silverthorne is not a group of brutal savages who would do unimaginable harm to common folks like the Raiders in Zombie Exodus, i still can’t get over to what they did to Mindy in some of the ending

Um… do we really have enough proof right now to make that assumption that they’re “better” in terms of morality than the previous antagonists when we have heard evidence to the contrary of that statement ? I could be wrong about this but usually isn’t the next antagonist in a sequel or spinoff more insidious than the previous ones not kinder ? Also given that Keith and his group see children as dead weight it’s possible they’re either leaving them to be eaten by the dead or executing them on the spot, not to mention Keith did say he & his group killed anyone who couldn’t earn their keep or objected to the Silverthorne’s new order which doesn’t seem like behavior that implies they’re better or kinder than the raiders in Zombie Exodus.

  1. I doubt the choice to accept Keith’s offer to join his group would even be given if we couldn’t actually join them in the first place. That would just piss people off to bait people with a choice only for them to find out that they can’t actually go down that road.

  2. We can already decide to make our group focused on raiding and banditry even without accepting the Silverthornes offer.

I thought JimD mention Silverthorne is not a “common” villain of sort and they in fact serve a purpose , based on that previous statement , i just feel like Silverthorne could be a group of Anti-Hero or Anti-villain … sort of like Valhana sector in the cult classic tv series “Jeremiah” , however they aren’t as strong as the Valhana Sector yet …

I also feel Lyles’ daughter faction is the true Valhana Sector… If you are interested

Valhana Sector is the United States of America, remnants of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Executive Branch
I would hope my group would turn into the New Western Alliance in that series … but at the same time if i am continue my role as the “Cult” Leader , i could turn them into the Phantom Troupe as in Hunter x Hunter , where we are just a close knit group that fight for my own idealistic cause

Hahaha… it could be Madison , Bailey and Jillian standing behind me , with Tommy and Jaime next to me :-):stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

In Hunter x Hunter , Chrollo Lucifer is the Cult leader who doesn’t act like a religious leader but will constantly referring quote and reference from the Holy Bible … ultimately his “cult” run on his personal agenda without endorsing the actual religious order

iI will not accept anyone tell me that ransom women to make them sex slaves trying to rape Madison or grope her as anti heroes.

An anti hero doesn’t go killing kids and their fathers. Doesn’t ransom women because sex and even less endorse mistreatment of minors.

So this is a warning if someone starts make apologize that behaviour I will flagging.

Why? because is trivializing the issue. That this game explore in a very mature way. And no; citing sexualized sexist manga is not mature.

I am with the impression that Keith is not the true leader of the group, so unless we know the actual leader of that group , nothing is certain… Bendon’s behaviour is of course bad, i didn’t refer to his attitude…

I had said if silverthorne come to attack us, i will fight them nonetheless … not sure how it was considering defending their behaviour…

And as my refering to that animation group, it was referring to my group , not the Silverthorne

There is no way in hell to defend Silver are anti villains or anti heroes when they execute kids and their parents ransom women and grope minors.

They are a messed up warlord group that behave as many messed up paramilitary groups during very nasty civil wars that includes genocide. So they are villains. Defend that they are other thing is trivializing the real life issues that the game portrait in a very mature way.

As I agree Keith is not the leader. or at least not the supreme one.

Perhaps i misunderstood JimD 's previous comment about the group, if Silverthorne really did those things then i agree with you …
Perhaps there is a diary that explain the group entirely which i am unaware of , right now my MC doesn’t have enough information about them in game, so the presumption is as long as they don’t attack us , i won’t wage war against them either

They admit that they have groups against their will as slaves farmers (only job is available for now for Mara) They have admitted that they have dealt with dead weight and there is no kids in their group. If you asking him about the interest in Kelly he almost say bluntly how sexy she is and how can she rise the morale. Then Madison say The guy was groping her or trying to and sorry i believe madie and Brody more than them.

Secret executions in the forest etc. So no way in hell they aren’t bad guys Maybe they are others but hell Silvers are evil as hell

Ahhh ok… some of the text is a bit deep for me, but i think i understand now from you , i normally ask Keith little question since i never intend to join , it was more like politely talk something with him then with an answer of not joining…

Only Bendon’s creeping eyes on Madison trigger me , he is the one i was aiming to punish …

In one playthrough , Keith kidnap Kelly so i will go rescue Kelly on that playthrough…
Mostly i am aiming to set up defense parameter against them in future … unless there is a way to convert them of their way

Wait, when? I always thought he just has a crush on Kelly, because in my playthroughs he just says he thinks Kelly is ‘hot’ and a ‘real sweetheart’. If he says she can ‘raise the morale’ etc, that hints to something far more terrible.

I don’t read code so I don’t remember exactly all dialogues but there is something like raise the morale if I remember right. It could be not be about kelly per se. But with high empathy he is definitely shady and creepy as fuck about grabbing kelly. He almost demand her like a trophy…

I recommend everyone play second part with at least five in empathy and five in persuasion as the questions and response varying a lot. To a really degree.

So dunno Silver are very very creppy and really messed up like Benton if you ransom him says . The way he says how we will be skinned alive and all that makes me feel sure they are bad and evil. Not Anti heroes.

Still I suppose as evil player can take control of them and make them far more effective and far less creppy. Start accepting families and educate people and making secure forts because if there is no kids and there is no family and education no way in hell long-term survival. Also Marcus my nephew is with Mara and those creeps won’t touch him or Madie or anyone of my group.

Damn. Good to know Keith is a bigger douchebag than I thought. I always keep my empathy around 65+ at most, so that stuff never came up in my playthroughs.

I agree. One doesn’t even have to be evil, really. I believe it is mostly a few people like Keith (or worse) that’s running the group as they please, and the rest are going along with it hopelessly for the sake of perceived safety. Turning their own group against them would be difficult, but it should be possible.
