Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven General Discussion (Part 3 beta coming in December)

I would love Mara joining them she has a crush on Keith after all. Still so far the offer is be a farmer slave so no way in hell Mara accepted that so for now no silver

Yeah I agree my chacter donse not want to go to war with the Silverthornes. Wich will be hard since he killed the girl and captured bention and he is keeping him. I would describe are relationship as the usa and the Soviets

So let me get this straight, you don’t want to start a war with the Silverthorne’s but you basically did everything that would cause the Silverthorne’s to declare war on you ? What a mess… Sounds like a fun yet chaotic playthrough.

@JimD
Bug found in the pharmacy mission.
I chose to rob Kent and family, then let him leave. But while searching the store I still have the option to ask Kent for the key to the gun case.

Choosing to ask Kent for the key after he’s left gives this text:

Kent twists his mouth to the side. “Don’t think so.” He glares at you with one eye. “Don’t ask again.”

The patch should have rolled out! My Steam version got the update. Kent magically reappearing despite being forced to leave should be fixed now.

@JimD
Bug in the pharmacy mission.
I chose these choices:
“I want your supplies. Then you’re free to go.”
“Consider an escape plan and go back to my camp now. I don’t care about looting the grocery store.”
And
“Sneak out, sticking to the shadows and staying under the awnings to avoid the sniper’s line of sight.”

Aris looks at their sister and hugs her. “We made it, sis,” they say. Kate doesn’t seem to realize the danger you just evaded.

The kids reappear when I’m escaping, even though they left the store earlier.

Edit
After choosing the option:
“I want your supplies. Then you’re free to go.”
The below text says I gain a keyring, but it doesn’t appear in my inventory, and the choice to unlock the gun case with Kent’s key is greyed out.

You search him regardless, emptying his coat pockets, removing various items from his belt, including a key ring.

I just realized, will there be more motivations/reasons to join Keith’s group later? Cause I wanna join his group not because I feel pressured or because I like their style, it’s because I wanna infiltrate their group and gain a position of trust to sabotage them from the inside out. It would probably require stealth but I’ve got that.

Stealth? Why you will need stealth if you are a insider? Stealth only could have sense if you’re not a member Intimidate Leadership maybe a good Martial rank or even a scientific could gain prestige but stealth only work if you want plant a bomb or steal documents.

I hope could joining to conquest them but sadly now accept Joining means be a farmer and Mara and old my characters prefer die to that… I have to play my new character for that

To become a spy… you need persuasion not stealth

Persuade your target that you are not a spy and convince them for all you bad idea

I don’t think a good spy can just ditch stealth and expect that they can always rely on persuasion. That just doesn’t seem like smart planning, how do you expect people to buy the whole “I’m not a spy” act when everyone else is going to say the same thing ? Also you’d most likely be the new recruit so your word means nothing and they have no reason to trust you because you haven’t done anything to earn that trust regardless of you being persuasive. In my opinion, the smart thing to do would be to plant incriminating evidence on someone else (preferably on the people who are watching you the most) and let them take the fall.

@poison_mara Just because you’re now behind enemy lines and have “joined” them doesn’t mean you’ve earned their trust to such a degree that you wouldn’t need to be careful and watch your back because, of your status as new recruit you still have not done the work to earn their trust and alleviate the amount of eyes watching you. So even if you have infiltrated their ranks, I still think you’d need stealth so the likelihood of you being caught somewhere you shouldn’t be is decreased and you get whatever supplies you need in secret.

It was commented on that the reason why James Bond is such a good spy is a hypnotic verbal effect “bond James Bond”
With that spoken a certain way he overrides certain thoughts.

Where’s the fun, danger and possible mystery of being James Bond and having hypnotic verbal effects on people ? I want an actual challenge and a sense of risk, danger and fear of not knowing if we will be caught or not. (if we can infiltrate the Silverthornes) How would that be achievable if we’re able to just talk our way out ?

Deaf Super villian, Zombies, Landmines, Electronic systems, automated turrets?

Mission impossible Ethan Hunt , talk his way out and use super athletic ability to fight his enemy

That seems like it would require for the player’s MC to be a superhuman to over come those obstacles and not everyone designs their MC to be on God mode( I certainly don’t.)

@Eric_knight is your MC designed to be Ethan Hunt though, or all of them ? If they are good for you, but how does that make the possible infiltration mission fun if you could easily pull a Superman and take what you are looking for without actually having to work for it and overcome the fun of a challenge ? Also how would that be believable ? Just because the game’s setting is a zombie apocalypse and is in the realm of fiction doesn’t mean there hasn’t been logic to it or a sense of being believable when it comes to the abilities of the characters and their choices.

Well… my MC is not athletic enough, and i normally don’t infiltrate … hence i don’t think my MC will be Agent Hunt

I will use empathy , persuasion to present an ideological handling of situation plus sharp shooting skill if necessary , infiltration will deprieve of my time to sing, play musical instrument and preach ideology … and i won’t endorse it either, everyone could stay in a big happy family together without caring what other group do outside …

You are certainly right and wrong same time. Absolutely agree with you in everything you have said. Except you see it from one unique perspective from a good guy trying to gather info to destroying them if you want to do that yeah You need stealth.

Do Mara wants destroy Them and gather intel? Nope. Mara wants to rule them Make them mara group. For that no need at all the sneaky sneaky as she would not doing nothing she shouldnt.

Stealth of mind not of body. So empathy persuasion leadership not Stealth.

Leliana in Dragon age one give a magnificent explanation of the two types of stealth. And how she was expertise in Being at plane sight and people assume she belongs due her behaviour and speechcraft.
