Good points. Now I’m wondering if she’s lying about how “minor” her injuries are after the fight. Some of the descriptions of the injuries are gnarly lol.

Most of the game a prologue?
We have three fights, no input from us on how players should do it. Except front or back door, but still a front door battle. That was false choice. No input on how players want to deal with everyone else after the bully.
Prologues supposed to help PLAYERS build a MC in an IF. The real choice should start after Bully death.
I like it and don’t. Its choices are missing from us.
I get 1 thing happening. Behind the deaths, it allows them to paint us as villains. WE dont have to kill for Nexus to come up and turn it into a plot THEY were going to do anyway.
Example:
Lightning disarms and takes out enemies, mitigating deaths as much as possible. They end up killing the murderer. They fight the superhero. They run away. Nexus cleans up by making it look like Lightning is a murderer by killing them. That keeps plot, and adds agency to player choice.

The only reason she dominated us was because we were mostly spent on the fight with our parents killer. It could go either way depending the situation and what location it’s at in a 1 and 1. But I’m more interested in getting back at the super at start since he got off easy despite the property damages and people killed.
It depends on the MC powers mostly for the severity. They probably only said minor injuries as well because it was in public after the speech so it had downplay was happened.

That’s part of it, but for her part I think she also went in arrogant and half-cocked, like homelander usually does too, safe in the knowledge that they can squash even most supes like ants. Now that she knows that is not an option with the mc she is unlikely to face us as unprepared as she was in the prologue in the future and she does have more resources, training and experience than the mc to draw on. But I agree with the other poster she was still likely downplaying her own injuries to her sycophants too.
So, I still think if it came down to it when the mc has had a bit more training and experience and they are both prepared and at their best it would still be an even chance. But, again, in the Boys almost no other supe we know of stands even a decent chance at taking on homelander straight up (Soldier boy possibly has the nuclear detonation gimmick that strips powers, but as we saw with the Boys own team supe that is possibly only temporary for the truly powerful supes and reversible for most others). That the mc here does have that kind of power to potentially beat this universe’s homelander equivalent in a straight up fight is a gamechanger and at the very end we do see the powers that be struggling to come to terms with that.

Yep she definitely wasn’t ready to deal with someone her own league. Probably hasn’t counting on someone like us being around and gotten sloppy due to lack of competition.
The main advantage she has is the other supers on the team for now but looks like we’re getting our team as well

I find it almost terrifying if all government approved heroes think like that and have no dissenting opinion.
Despite MC is powerful ultimately they’re alone, fighting this many alone is monumental challenge.

It gonna be an uphill battle which why it’s more important to win the public opinion but it’s gonna be difficult if MC just murders everything. The line between good and evil is really thin here

I am not sure if it was mentioned, but when the third RO is introduced it first gave me the text in my chosen gender, however after it posted the same speech with the RO as the opposite gender than the one I chose. So the same few paragraphs are written back to back only thing different is the chosen gender.

Yeah think the way the ro’s gender was done was confusing since I didn’t know which one I’m choosing it for. There’s probably a better way to set it up.

As we also see in the boys, all of the potentially dissenting opinions likely live in abject fear of homelander and/or the corporation (before he really took over). Plus playing along gets them wealth and status to mollify them and assuage most of the potentially niggling consciences.
Probably better to let the mc set ro’s gender at the beginning before entering the game proper. That way there is less distraction. In Creme de La Creme and its sequels you can even choose to randomise them, set them all to the same gender or choose individually for each.
Hopefully that only goes for ordinary humans, my mc has no compunctions about killing his fellow supes, should they choose to stand in his way, particularly when it comes to the nominal “heroes”.

Yeah I will add that I am writing down chapter 1 right now I have already reworked on the prologue will rework after I finish writing chapter 1 and release it together will add an approach where you don’t have to do all that killing if you don’t want

Now since we already talk about MC side of the story, I’m gonna play devil advocate here, since we’re in early part of the story there is still chance some heroes do get coerced into joining this false hero outfit.
My hunch about the story so far
I dunno after reading it several times from the beginning to the end, I get this feeling that the villain is more likely than not is a paid actor they’re used to portray the rogue neogenes causing destruction and chaos so another bad guy can pose as Heroes and arrest the villain but both side either villain or heroes secretly play together in this twisted mind games just for the show for the masses.

Yeah I wouldn’t put it pass them to forcefully enrolling heroes considering the setting. Obviously some would do it just for fame or money but some of them are probably guys who couldn’t keep their power secret

Idk whether you are trying to be sarcastic here or not.But if you wanted her to look cocky you failed she didn’t look cocky she behaved like a deranged person lol.Talking about how she owns the world and others are worms so idk man.She is trash lol shouldn’t even be a ro lol.She could be a good side villain for sure tho who should get cooked soon.But fr if you are not being sarcastic then you gotta change her interactions she comes out as deranged and not okay in the head not to mention her being fearful at the end and screaming about what she would do the mc makes me doubt her even more.The older version of Valkyrie was cool as heck she wanted to capture the mc aswell .She was a bit cocky as well but she wasn’t deranged lol infact MC’s getaway from her was cool as heck using her superhero instincts against her was nice the current Valkyrie instead was trying to take the MC’s head off so idk man.Akso her telling that the psycho villain was under their protection only makes her look worse she could have said he is protected by the law or whatever.Her old version was for sure going to be my favourite character her new version on the other hand belongs six feet under.
