If you mean something like ācat-girl soley for the sake of exotic features on a girlā, then Iād have to say no.
If you mean a whole race of people with lore, and culture attached, then I would be a lot more interested. It isnāt necessarily a āyesā, but how you design a character is more than just their looks. It also makes me a tad jealous we donāt have story impacting choices in the customizing section for the MC about it, but I donāt have enough to go off of to say if a purely human MC is what we have, or if that is just what we know so far, and the MC is the exotic one because of this.

The āNekoā part will be the whole race/species of the character, the character would also not be the only one to be in this race ^^ So no, not just someone with cat characeristics and the things usually around that word !
Also, our MC is unknow about what theyāre, itās why in this beginning, everything around the MC is blurry ^^ but you will see it much much later in my game ! Also if you want a spoil about some possibilities- here one, small but also big spoil :
The MC will be of the species you wish, but they will be not like anyone else because of something I will not tell yet- but yes, if you want your MC to be human, when the choices will be bringed in the game, you will be able to choose !

Gender is all over the place. I assume the character is supposed to be female since the game asked what my character is attracted to-
Their jaw drop opened when they see the tube totally broken and now useless. Through the gap of the door, you can see that except your room, everything seemā¦alive and active.
The woman, now just in front of you, fumble with her words before clearing her throat, adjusting the collar of his lab coat.
You stay there, staring blankly at him without any kind of movements.
You frown and slapped his hand away.
You gently put your hand in his.
You suddenly start to act aggressively, growling at them.
You stay there, staring blankly at him without any kind of movements. You donāt trust him, but why would you feel angry or scared, or even anything about it ? There is no need, you think to yourself, so you just stare at him.

The gameās use of pronouns is all over the place. Every bolded word was the game referring to a female character as male or using they/them, which is the pronouns for groups, individuals whose gender one does not know, and the preferred pronouns for some people who are non-binary or genderfluid.
So the game should be consistent- she/her/hers for a female characters, he/him/his for male characters, or they/them/their.
I presume here that the NPC is an RO, so that the pronouns should match the playerās stated preference, but that is just an assumption on my part.

The gender of the character you first met in game depend on which gender your MC is attracted to, but if you think I use to much the he/she him/her his/her, then I will change it and add more of their name ?
Also, the variables are all clear in my game, the first character you met is one of the Romancable character, they are the first one joining your group, I played it and it match the gender preference so I donāt understand whatās wrong to be honestā¦
Well sadly I donāt have the coding skills to be of any help there, maybe someone else will have a clue.

I wanted to tell you that Iām currently working on the game ! I am currently at 28000 characters, I think that it was at something between 19000 or 22000 at the last update ? I donāt know but anyway, Iām working on it !
I hope to release it at 35 000 characters !
I am currently at 35 000 characters but I want to at least finish the scene I am writing so I will keep you waiting for a little more time ! But at least it will be longer for you !
