The author still reblogs stuff on tumblr from the if blog, though I haven’t seen them post about the game or interact with people in a while. Maybe it’s on hiatus, I dunno. But the author does still exist.

Son of Satan: The Mortal Coil (apologies if this one has already been mentioned 
) It was one of the first WIPs I remember reading when I discovered this beautiful community and I was instantly obsessed. I was on the tumblr every day reading the asks and learning more about the world. To this day no WIP has ever managed to make me fall in love with characters I haven’t even met in the story yet, that’s the power this author has. Obviously it’s important I stress that the well-being of a person is WAY more important than any story so I hope the author is doing well and is happy regardless of whether they still write or not. I just want to say a big thank you to you author and EVERY other author who puts their work here for us all to enjoy, you’re amazing

Without a doubt Caught in a Reverie. That was one of the first WIPs I read on this site and it still remains as one of my favourites till this day, especially since it was one of the few Anime Stories here. Plus the whole Persona vibe that story had was great. Sadly, the author hasn’t been on in years.

The inspiration taken from Persona 3 and Fate series was astounding there.
Complete with background music and PC’s portrait too. A shame really.

Hunter’s Sacrifice. It was the first wip that compelled me to stop lurking and become a proper forum member. Absolutely gutted that it hasn’t been updated for years now. There was another one which name I sadly forgot, was mainly on Tumblr but I’m pretty sure it had a wip thread here as well. Setting was about Greek mythology, you were the child of one of the gods, there was a character who shared half of your soul? Or was it a soulmate? Last update I remember is the writer saying they were going to rewrite the story

I think that’s Children of the Gods. The MC is the child of Zeus in that one and they basically are the Essence that started the Big Bang and there’s a character that shares it with the MC but supposedly needs to give the rest of it to the MC on a certain condition I don’t remember. That story got killed off out of nowhere though and it’s been years since the author mentioned that.

Hey so how far along are things for The Abyssal patreon wise? I adored it, people swear it ain’t dead, but the tumblr doesn’t really say how far things have gotten since the end of the public demo. All these January updates and upcoming releases have me feeling nostalgic for those great WIPS.
