What kind of story would you love to read?

I have played alot of choices games (loved majority of them) but recently, I got to thinking about the kind of game I would love to play.
Personally I want a game were I have a kid(s). Maybe even being a single parent. I think it will be interesting, you get to see how you RO relates with your kid, choose the school they would go, the kind of people they should be friends with, the possibilities are endless!!:heart_eyes:
So what kind of games have you guys been dreaming of??

More monster romantic comedies. Preferably with transformation scenes.

Cutting down on human flesh addiction being a thing. Well okay that part is a nitpick.

Something with romanceable alien gender characters. Don’t feel so constrained by the usual 3 choices (or 4?).

Something like Mass Effect where you can choose from a selection of characters for your squad in various missions (and romance).

A 100 Million BC style game where dinosaurs and humans co-exist.

A open ended game in a Star Trek or Star Wars like universe where you can choose the kind of occupation or character you are.

A Time Travel game with a working time machine and lots of historical, futuristic and alternative universe places to visit.

I saw a ME Wip somewhere…where you can choose to play as an asari or Turiant or quarian…

But…don’t remember the name :persevere:

Well I think a Mass Effect game is probably off limits unless it’s not for profit. Archive of our own has a couple short ones made via Twine though…

Does the squad action have to be in space?

I would love to see more games in noir-ish settings, with mature themes and maybe even philosophical undertones if possible. Maybe a classic hardboiled detective story or simply a crime drama/thriller. There was an WIP that I absolutely loved called Salt City Private Eye by @clarge, it was the type of story I’d definitely like to see more (it’s on hiatus right now, though the author does intend to return to it).

Oh, and cyberpunk. Definitely voting for more cyberpunk stories, we’ve gotten only one or two (I think) so far and unfortunately they’ve been disappointing.

@hustlertwo’s WiP Quite-App Parent: The Parenting Simulator is all about being a single-parent and raising your kid, just thought I’d mention it in case you weren’t aware

No, any game where you can choose which characters to bring with you on missions or socialise with could work. Fantasy, sci fi or even a modern game could work with that approach.

I got this weird idea for being a squad trying to tame a post magical plague world. Literal plague not extremist metaphorical plague.

If anyone wants to use this idea you’re free to it. I’m probably never using it myself.

Not sure why searching this site for it got “no results”. Sounds pretty close but I was thinking something where the governments of the world are somewhat less intact like with shelter managers and such.

I would love to have a real horror story with a Jason or Freddy like killer and you try to survive.

A Dexter or Punisher like story where you go after gangs or serial killers because of some kind of vendetta
I would like to see something along those

A horror that’s focused on romance with some comedic relief. If that makes sense?

More of the “run a corporation and kind of sort of decide the fate of the world with all the power you wield running it” kind of stuff. Or, in other words, more things like Metahuman Inc.

Not really a genre, but I really enjoy lighthearted stories. Of course, I love drama and action and suspense as much as everyone else, but maaan.

When I’m in a mood, nothing is better than an easy story that makes me grin like an idiot.
