The Save Manager I’m using is the CoG Save Manager so I won’t be able to check stuffs like with using Inspect Element.
Does anyone know how to get the Madame Mouse’s gift? It says “I impressed her with my Wisdom but she’s not sure I can cut a deal in a cunning fashion. Only the old one.” How do I fulfill that requirement?
Have low litany stat
I’m definitely enjoying this game, as I am such a big werewolf lover. But is anyone else struggling with maintaining and building their Convictions in the game? It’s been the most frustrating part of the game for me, and it’s starting to seriously hamper my enjoyment, as I know those convictions are important and will be even more important later on. As it stands, I won’t be able to get into the tribe(s) I’m aiming for right now. The only one that’s been solid for me is keeping up the Humans Must Understand. No matter how hard I try, I can’t keep up Find the Answers, and I haven’t received any dots either way for the Litany Has Failed or the Litany Sustains Us. And I cannot, for the life of me, understand how to get dots for Find Courage through Laughter, even when I’m trying to be a humorous character. Instead, I now have dots for Find Purpose through Dignity. I’m currently in what I believe is Chapter 4 or 5, having recruited Elton and Podge, and I’m still just very confused about what dialogues are just flavor and which ones influence your Convictions. Does anyone have any tips or guidance for me?
My Convictions are actually going well, and yes, you can make GREAT use of them in the Melodie mission. Like, huge deal.
The REALLY important part about convictions is that you have to be consistent, as they’re opposed stats. Otherwise:
Find the Answers is all about knowing more. Pick options that say “I want more information/data” or “I want to know more” or “I’m curious”. Conversely, Try Not to Die is the survivalist option, try to put yourself in as little risk as possible, especially not for information.
Litany Sustains Us is pretty much respect for your elders (i.e., every other Garou in the game) and the old ways and the spirits. Options that honour the spirit statues and stuff like that. I took a pretty big hit to it when I met Eyes-of-Clay’s spirit. XD
@jasonstevanhill I said pretty much as much to Moochava (amidst a bunch of remarks on bugs and hiccups), but if you have any influence on what DLC is made, I’ll gladly pay money for one that is nothing but these clowns’ group chat (and also Nin’s pronoun event), because it’s fantastic. Please forward desire to throw money at screen to White Wolf or Paradox or whoever.
I finally figured out what affects the money system. It’s the xp value in the save manager.
I will say this about Elton. From what I’ve seen so far. He is definitely not Shadow Lord material. Idk if a werewolf can leave a Tribe but if they can (and I’m sure it’s not without it’s consequences) the Tribes I feel suit Elton the best based on their descriptions from the Journal tab are the Ghost Council and the Bone Gnawers. There were other options I thought of for him which were the Silent Striders, Children of Gaia and the Glass Walkers but the Ghost Council and Bone Gnawers felt the best in my opinion for him.
Elton join the Shadow Lords so he can impress Katherine which amusingly Vagahn approve
I know. But his demeanor/personality obviously doesn’t suit it any longer nor did it in the first place. He also doesn’t have one of the biggest traits most Shadow Lords have which is ruthlessness.
Elton is almost certainly shadow lord material, just less of a outright mean one like they are stereotypically portrayed. Most of his ideas and behavior align with the shadow lords- unorthodox, arguably unethical but effective methods of achieving a goal or learning something. working with fascists to kill 2 birds one stone, letting those same fascists attack a concert to get their future packmate to regain her abilities without straining their already heavily diminished spiritual resources, taking part in a village-wide cultist ritual to control a spirit for protection. He seems to regard the litany as something thats just kinda there and doesn’t actually care about it, which also fits them in canon. Even his relationship with the spirits, and how he describes them as basically things to use and not get used by, plus a bit of “theurge pazazz” and applauding the PC if they mention changing who they are for more Gifts is very Shadow Lord of him. He outright tells the PC he didn’t give him an apartment for free and he not only does not care but SANCTIONS the PC just outright killing the Goutlers, viewing them, again, as tools to be used and, having been of use, is comfortable with disposing of them. He even zaps Melodie with a literal bolt of lightning because she undermined his authority in front of humans, which if you remember the Ban of the Shadow Lords is that failed leadership checks lose glory. If that after seeing and reading all of that, and you say Elton still isn’t a shadow lord, idk what is.
This is reasonable and I think Elton would do well as a Ghost Council member. Even better than he is as a shadow lord maybe.
Lol, no. You think Elton will SCAVENGE? Man has five hundred and eleventy books and dresses sharp.
JESUS no. Elton wanted to let Nazis set a building full of people on fire, and, failing that, he just ritually sacrifices a dude. I can’t think of a tribe Elton is LESS suited for than the Children.
Nope he does have Shadow Lords material in him like willingly let the Cult of Fenris set the concert on fire or using the triple king phantasm to shield the broad brook garous from cops or hunters it’s just that we didn’t really see it because he still mourning Katherine death.
Can anyone help me with romances and how to increase opinion? Ive found it reallu easy to increase my relationship with nin but not anyone else
I still can’t believe the fucker eggs on Melodie and Podge arguing and pretends to join in just so I have to make the call on what to do with the drone and be made responsible of whatever happens from the decision. I hope I can throw that shit back in his face when he goes “You need to do what I say because I’m your elder” again. Yeah? If you’re such an elder, then why don’t you fucking ELD, Elton?
For the Bone Gnawers part, I mentioned that because they deal with info gathering, even info that most people would not care about and I keep seeing Elton start talking about some history or trivia info out of nowhere sometimes that made me think it would suit him somewhat. And I never said that he has to live like how Podge does. I’m sure he could still find a balance between that and his daily lifestyle.
And for the Children of Gaia part. That was because when he mentioned about letting the Cult of Fenris burn down the concert, it mentions that he was hesitating to actually follow through on it so he deferred to our MC instead and because despite being a Shadow Lord, he’s pretty friendly with his human allies and it doesn’t look like he’s faking it as a necessity.
But yeah I guess since some people have pointed some things out, I can see some Shadow Lord material in him now. I still think Ghost Council suits him best since he feels more like a Warlock Werewolf and being part of the Ghost Council would be the closest to that image.
He is a Shadow Lord.
Does anyone know the specific dialogue choices to improve the relationship with Podge? I’ve done a few repeat runs to test it and it never goes past one dot even though I pick stuff that should agree with him.
Question:
- If you join the Children of Gaia do you HAVE TO sell your Subterfuge, or can you just loophole your way through half their ban by already having it maxed out? Because getting rid of Subterfuge basically means ALSO getting rid of 2/3 of Manipulation’s utility, and I’d rather not. Of course, I can also join the Silver Fangs… (or a few other tribes, but I’m not interested in those)
