The demo is not showing up for me. When I clicked it. I went to the menu to change the background to black but then it froze after I did that. Now whenever I exit out and go back, the main menu to start the game doesn’t show up for some reason. And every time I go to the menu option or stats screen, whenever I try to click “return to game” it froze up on the spot.
Looks like the next entry in the Vampire: The Masquerade series/ World of Darkness crossover came way earlier than expected! Kudos to the author, Pon Para was already a massive undertaking, and now this!
Clearing Site Data will erase your checkpoints but not your named saved games. Your named saved games are stored on our server; you can log out and log in on another computer and use those on another machine.
But if you were playing another game in your browser, e.g. if you were halfway through Lies Under Ice in another browser tab, that progress would be lost when you Clear Site Data.
If you’re worried that it might not work, you could try switching to another browser or another computer/phone/device to play today’s demo.
Yay, another Marquis work! I’ll skip on the demo, but it’s an instabuy for me when it releases! Can’t wait for release.
Ngl, though, I’m a bit disappointed, because when I got the notification out of the corner of my eye I just read “Werewolf the Apocaly” and I was like, “holy shit it’s out, yay!” but turns out it’s just the demo. XD
As a tester for this game, I’m so excited for everyone else to get a chance to read it. The Book of Hungry Names is something truly special. It’s a sprawling marvelous journey full of settings and characters who will quickly become real to you. There are some great action scenes, with options that reward a variety of play styles, from quick-witted to ultra-violent. There are mysteries to uncover, some over the course of a chapter, while some may take multiple playthroughs to explore fully. Building pack relationships is an important theme of the game, and there are plenty of opportunities to get to know the other major characters, either for friendship or romance (and the romance scenes are great, with moments both sweet and spicy). The story itself is a spiritual coming-of-age as well as an exciting adventure. Despite the heavy tone, there are spot-on moments of humor that may make you laugh out loud. And the whole story is told in Kyle Marquis’s sumptuous prose, in what may be the most complex work yet written in ChoiceScript. It’s been an honor to have even a tiny part in this project, and I hope you all will enjoy this game as much as I have.
I’m currently copy editing later chapters as fast as I dare without losing my day job and I’m having an absolute blast. Some of these passages…I wish I could share them, they’re just so sick (in a good way) and gnarly, but it’s better to let you all discover them naturally. Go forth and kick huge amounts of ass for Gaia!
