Good morning. September was bit hit and miss for me as far as Vice & Virtue goes. Covid kicked my butt for the first two weeks and I managed to injure the one hand I type with the third week, so it was slow going. Progress was made, though.
Several bugs have been fixed. And I cleaned up a few things in the story that were a bit questionable.
Demo has not been updated yet, and won’t be until I’ve got the second day more polished. Same goals for Oct as Sept (but hopefully life will cooperate this time around).
All the day 2 main assignments have been finished. This brings the complete-able assignments total to 15 with 14 others you can be assigned but that are Works in Progress right now.
Word Count -
Including Code: October saw an increase in word count (including code) from 133,770 to 140,307, a total increase of 6,537.
Excluding Code: Excluding code went from 73,305 to 78,175 - an increase of 4,870 words.
I’m looking to update the demo. I just need to make sure it runs okay on a test run before I mess with the posted demo.
My November goals are to work on the third day’s assignments and get this demo updated.
This is a late update I know… Not much got done in Nov, due to health issues and holidays and whatnot. This month could be hit or miss too. I fixed a lot of bugs and improved overall quality, but not much more got written other than a couple hundred words.
My focus right now is going to be updating the demo. It should technically run fine, even if you run out of story, but dashingdon and cogdemos are both giving me a hard time for some reason.
It’s been a long time since my last check in. I’m still getting unusual errors trying to upload to cogdemos, and I was getting extremely frustrated, so I took a much needed break from this game.
I’ll be spending the rest of this month polishing what I have, and then I’ll compile a new demo in HTML, so I can get some feedback on the new systems at the very least.
