Nothing but compliments for the complexity and quality of the political dillemas so far.
Thank you for the report, I’ll look into this right away! That never came up during beta.
Nice! I’ll be playing it shortly. I’ve been looking forward to this. Congrats on the release!
Is there a page with details on ROs?
How many ROs in this?
@Nat_Sattabongkod @Alpha_Wiliams
There are two at the moment, Jordan the Malkavian, and Qui the Nosferatu Sheriff.
Both romances are very in depth with almost as much text exclusive to them as a full novel. I really went all-out on their romance routes. There’s a possibility of more in the future, but I think that players will be very happy with them.
I don’t know what is going on but… wasn’t it supposed to be released for android? I can’t seem to find it on playstore. Am I just dumb and it isn’t on playstore or… I would apreciate some help.
Forget it. I found it through the link in the demo. I don’t know what was happening.
The Play store always takes a long time to propagate for different regions. There have been a few times where I couldn’t find choice of games releases until the Friday after their release.
You should be able to link directly here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.choiceofgames.parliamentofknives
Also, if you look at the Choice of Games list of releases on the Play store and scroll through it for a while, you’ll find Parliament of Knives even if a simple search doesn’t work.
I have only played the first three chapters for now (want to wait till I have some manner of guide before I go farther), but I wanted to mention just how extremely happy I am at this game in particular.
The politics and manipulations among the Kindred have always been my primary draw to the WoD, and to see them develop so beautifully is beyond thrilling.
I must mention that I already find the atmosphere and characters an improvement with regards to Night Road, although I cannot speak for Out for Blood because it wasn’t my type of story (I’ve never been much into the human characters).
The idea of romancing either Qui or Jordan is thrilling, but I would also love to see other options, even if we need to wait a bit for them like with the Tremere and Banu Haquim expansion options in NR.
I guess at most I should mention that at the moment of choosing the sexual orientation I was… confused? Went with the one that screamed bi the most to me but it would truly be great to have some manner of confirmation at least in the stats or something.
(As bisexual myself, I always find joy in being able to have bisexual characters)
This initial thought babble out, I can just thank you endlessly for the work put in this story.
I absolutely love hearing this! It’s everything I was going for and more!
As a bisexual guy, myself, I always want to keep those options open to players! It’s worth noting that there is no choice in the game that cuts off any romancable character regardless of gender or orientation. The choice is more for flavor and defining the idea of a past relationship the MC may or may not have had. (It also sets Jordan’s gender from female to male if the player suggests a preference for male romances.) Sheriff Qui is always male, but Jordan gender-flips the same way Dena does in my other game, Werewolves: Haven Rising.
Our for Blood is from a different author, though.
Excellent game, thank you for giving us the chance to lop off a certain person’s head near the end! Also I completely missed both romances, will have to try another time.
Edit: the person who hands you the sword in the first place.
I’m excited to play over the next few days. One question - when I played the Steam demo earlier, I didn’t see any portraits, so I was excited to realize when I purchased on the omnibus that there was a portrait for Bouchard. How many portraits are in the game now, and how many are planned?
I just had to give that option! Things play out a bit differently if you don’t, but it’s oh-so-satisfying to make the choice you made, eh?
@Eva There are currently 12 portraits in the game, with 6 more coming soon.
We have: Bouchard, Sheriff Qui, Arundel, Corliss, Vivian, Jordan, Alisha, Ward, Archon Adeline, Gerard, and Kashif.
Still to come: Sevinc, Hauberk, Trevor Haidt, Ophelia, Henrick Lang, and Prince Annabelle.
This was an easy fix, thanks to you pointing it out! I’ve sent in a patch to get it fixed. Apologies for the inconvenience!
Its in Arundel’s bio in the menu if you have done certain things in the story. I believe that is the only way you are intended to know it.
It’s a spoiler. But if you really want it…
Are you sure?
Really sure?
Check your stats menu and go to the ‘Notable Kindred of Ottawa’ section. Look at Arundel’s entry. The answer is at the top.
Ok thank you
Out of curiosity, who might be the ROs that will be added in the future update?
