"Vampire: The Masquerade — Parliament of Knives"—Spy for your sire to save an undead Prince!

So the character, vampire is can’t rise his lower?, that so pathetic Desperate in life, given such a long life but not being able to do that in bed, it’s so sad to be a vampire, and I’d rather be a devil than a vampire

I assume No_Name1 is referring to the lack of any described sex scenes in the game that involve the MC - the reason as to why that is you’ve already explained on this thread, Mr Deaver!

Since you’re ‘here’ though, can you please let me know how my character can get the ‘A Monster Made’ achievement? As per my post at #300, I’ve not been able to get Lucca to the villa except by bringing Jordan along (which seemed to prevent my character from killing Lucca). Is it possible to get Lucca to the villa without Jordan? I have just a few outstanding achievements to get now. And I’ve never got to the trial yet! There’s always been someone to rescue my character from the holding cell.

Thank you!

How do you pronounce “Qui”?

I think it’s pronounced the same as ‘key’ as in a key for a lock, because I have an achievement for making a good impression on Qui called ‘Qui to the City’ on steam which would only work as a play on words if key were the correct pronunciation. But yeah, that it is a tricky one, because it could be ‘chi’ or something similar and the pun would still work as a misdirect or almost rhyme.

Personally, I thought of it as “Kwee” but it could also be “Kee.”

My first instinct was to pronounce it “Kee,” like the French pronoun, but there’s no indication (that I’ve seen) that the Sheriff is of Francophone heritage. So I pronounced it “kwee” in my head … but it could also be “kwy,” like Qui-Gon Jinn. Although for the reason @Sleepyowl gave, I suspect it does in fact end with the long “e” sound.

Re: the detailed love scenes, these are toned down because of editorial mandate. ‘Vampire: the Masquerade’ is a licensed IP, and we have to follow extremely strict guidelines from an outside company. One of those guidelines is that vampires do not have normal human sex. I was told very clearly NOT to put in sexy times other than mutual bloodsucking and maybe some grinding.

Umm thats good, no r18 mhm thats so friendly, cause vampire cant do that in bed just blood sucking each other mhm, and vampire good to can have power or life Longlive like 1 decade or 1000 years, beside about cant have hard or in the bed, you can become powerfull by become q vampire like that content, no r18 so friendly for 10 years old kid to play or read this game, author who write this content can imagine in future about r18 cause if r18 the kids cant play and not get more money, good story, sorry for my vulgar comment before i know you mental cant take it, me too sorry for my comment before btw. And my english not adept lvl, once again i apologize for my previous comment that made you mental shaken, and offend you, peace.

Update: On my latest playthrough, I’ve finally managed to get the ‘A Monster Made’ achievement, after unlocking a path in Ch.9 that I’ve never found before (which wasn’t easy to come across). So that’s solved my query!

Just three achievements left to get now. I suspect the last hidden one might be ticked off by getting my character killed at the trial!

Although finding these last few achievements has been a tad frustrating, at the same time, I’m glad that there’s still been new ground to cover after a dozen playthroughs!

I’m from Brasil so I always read “Qui” as “Key” lmao

How did you find it @DenaFan ? I have only 3 achievements left and A Monster Made is one of them. I tried to fight Lucca when she arrested me, but no success in that

É claro!

I have a decent background in Romance languages, but it could still go either way for me, since it’s “Kee” in French, Portuguese, and Spanish, but “Kwee” in Italian and Latin.

I’m kind of surprised no one seems to have asked the author before how he pronounces it. At least, not anywhere I can find.

There’s an achievement called “Qui to the City”, and that only makes sense if “Qui” is pronounced as “Key”.

It wasn’t easy, Mimetoist. It took playthrough #14 to get ‘A Monster Made’. This forum doesn’t seem to offer the advice on how to get the achievement.

Beforehand, the nearest I got was going to Arundel’s villa with Lucca and Jordan - and knocking Lucca out, when she attempts to retrieve Arundel. No diablerie option was available, possibly because of Jordan’s presence. That made me ask on this forum if there’s a way to get just Lucca to go with my MC to the villa. No one replied.

On this playthrough, I avoided any political alliances and romances. I built up a good relationship with Lucca and Gerald. Those factors combined seemed to trigger a new path in Chapter 9. After I aided Lang against Lily, I got Gerald to ring Corliss about the situation. She sent Lucca (and guards) to take me to Corliss. Then, Kashif tried to kill Corliss, I tried to stop Lucca intervening, but failed. That resulted in my trial (first time I’ve got to it). My three character references saved me - and so I was freed again by Corliss when the bombs go off. Lucca and I were dropped into the floor below. With no one else around, the game then gives you the option to attack Lucca, including the chance to diablerise her! However, I was expecting to have a split personality with her in my head. Instead, Lucca is just an internal presence, not given any actual words.

I can also help if either of your two other outstanding achievements are ones I’ve already got.

Oohhhh thanks a lot! The other two are the one where you betray an ally and the last one doesn’t really show to me so I bet it’s one of the secret achievements.
Gonna start another run this weekend to get the diablerie one thanks to you! I am most grateful <3

@AletheiaKnights that’s so cool! By not being a native speaker of english I was pretty sure I was probably pronouncing every name in the wrong way due to my accent (even simple ones like Michel Bouchard — “Meeshell Booshar” — or Alisha Grey — “Áleesha” with open "a"s and the last name such as the colour “grey” — or Gerard — “Gêhar”)

Glad to be of help!

I think you mean ‘Double Cross’. I recently got this too, by making sure that I had a good relationship with Kashif (you can do this at various stages of the game, such as in Chapters 2 & 4, and staying at the back of the blood hunt assault team in the sewers to aid him). Aim for at least 50%, I think. And avoid any political alliances or romances. When you go to Elysium to help Qui’s investigation, Kashif will approach you outside, for your help in an assassination. There’s an option for you to effectively agree, but silently reserve the right to change your mind. And then you’ll have the opportunity to ‘rat out’.

I still need to get a hidden Achievement too! Don’t recall if there was originally three - but I’ve already got ‘Prince-Killer’. I think ‘No Quarter’ was one, too (got that, as well). But the two named ones I need to still get are ‘An Anarch Tale’ and ‘Bettered Bouchard’ (the latter I tried to get when I was with the Anarchs, and encountered Bouchard in the hotel stairwell - but failed to kill him personally).

Oh I got Bettered Bouchard by playing as Nosferatu and maximizing my physical stats (not sure how much tho, I should have took notes :frowning: ), when doing the full Anarch route and took him down in the hotel’s stairway . I got An Anarch Tale but I sincerely can’t remember what the hell I did back then, sorry for that one. I got the Prince Killer and Agravated as hidden achievements some time ago, the second one I got after playing with a Toreador with veeeeery low physical stats and jumping at close-quarter combat and getting myself beaten in EVERY. SINGLE. OPORTUNITY. Let me know if I got anything wrong. Is there any “achievement walkthrough” or wiki for this game online?

Thanks for that, Mimetoist! My understanding is that there might be two ways to get ‘Bettered Bouchard’, and I’ve started another playthrough - to get it. This time as a Toreador who’s made a political alliance with Bouchard (but intends to stop him killing Prince Arundel), as that’s apparently the other way of ticking off that achievement.

I had never heard of ‘Aggravated’ before - so that must be the hidden achievement I still need to get.

Maybe I’ll get one of those two this time…

I have tried to search for ‘achievement walkthroughs’ for this game. There seems to be bits and pieces on the internet, but I’ve not yet seen a comprehensive guide.

I tried attacking Bouchard just before he severed Arundel’s head the first time I went for that achievement, but he always kicked my ass. It’s probably possible, but I bet you must need pretty high stats to do so.

Some people on Steam started a discussion about the achievements and I found very useful information there, but still it’s not a complete guide :frowning:

I’m thinking about organizing the scattered info in one topic in this forum, but I don’t know if there are rules for that or if it would be seen as a bad thing

Edit: I just verified the correct name of the achievement is not Aggravated, is Aggravation. Sorry for the confusion.
