"Vampire: The Masquerade — Out for Blood"—Hunt the vampires that terrorize your town!

Honestly, here. Though, maybe I should be using IFD for them.

Still, would like to have it on here for the wandering soul that wants to look back on these topics.

@Thecriticofinnocence Oh yeah, for sure! This is the community hub.

As far as romantic encounters, I can at least help with that part:

Romance Tips

For all romance, you need to note your interest in their respective gender in Chapter one. I thiiiink saying you didn’t like Adam/Salem might lock you out of their respective romances.

Aside from Jace and Chastain, the romances are basically locked in by Chapter eight.

Adam

  • You can note an interest in Adam in chapter one - choose that you liked boys and Adam, or that you liked boys and girls and Adam.
  • When Adam visits the shop in chapter two, you can express your interest in him if you have either a high Charisma/Persuasion or a high Composure/Persuasion. You can also invite Adam to go with you to Mayor Bumpley’s dinner party.
  • In chapter three, if you invited Adam to the dinner party, you can flirt with him.
  • In chapter six, at the library, Adam will ask you out if you’ve expressed any interest in him before.
  • In chapter eight, you can ask Adam to spend the night with you.

Salem

  • You can note an interest in Salem in chapter one - choose that you liked girls and Salem, or that you liked boys and girls and Salem.
  • You can ask Salem to move in with you in chapter two
  • If you go to the dining room early in chapter three, you get a chance to flirt with Salem
  • In chapter six, in the library, you can ask Salem out on a date.
  • In chapter eight, you can ask Salem to spend the night with you.

Marcus

  • In chapter three, you can accept Marcus’ offer for a hug. Also, if you go into the dining room early, you can sit next to Marcus and flirt with him.
  • In chapter eight, during the search for Tyler, you can ask Marcus to go to the tavern with you, and you can ask him to spend the night with you.

Lacey

  • In chapter three, if you didn’t invite anyone else, sit with Lacey. You will get an option to flirt with her when the dinner party starts
  • In chapter five, you can ask Lacey to dinner when you go to her house.
  • In chapter eight, you can ask Lacey to spend the night with you.

Jace

  • I’m unsure, but I believe you do need to offer Jace a room in chapter six. Which means that you need to go to Doctor Lobo’s office and meet him, then offer the room.
  • If you visited Adam in chapter four and insulted Mr. McCrae, his children will come to beat you up in chapter six. Jace can save you from them, and it gives you an option to flirt.
  • In chapter ten, if you rented out the room to Jace, he’ll check in on you. If you have a high enough relationship level, you can express interest in him.

Monroe

  • If you side with the thin-bloods, Monroe will come visit you in chapter ten. If you deny Amanda after she visits, you’ll have an option to spend the night with Monroe.
  • In chapter twelve, if you defeat Amanda, you can continue your relationship with Monroe or, if you turned her down for being a vampire in chapter ten, you can start a relationship with her.

Chastain

  • When Amanda comes to visit you in chapter nine, you can flirt with her.
  • In chapter ten, Amanda can flirt with you and initiate an intimate scene.

This is really cool. Thank you for posting the romance guide. I’ve been wanting to know all the available options. :grinning:

I never got an icon on my computer and have to log into the website in order to play. I don’t know why it did this. When I am on my tablet and buy a game it (usually) shows up there. The exception being that, before I removed it, it would put them under the CoG app-- which also required me to be online in order to play the game Emperyean (sp?). That game went away when I removed the app, so I had to buy it again. At one time I purchased Best of Us, which, as with my tablet, got an icon to click on to play the game. In none of those cases did I get a choice of what happened with the game. The icon showed up wherever it showed up. When I had the Choice of Games app I had to be connected to a wireless network connected to the Internet in order to play. Much of the USA does not have wireless unless you pay for it. I have access to a landline which is connected to my desktop. I prefer playing on my tablet which is only connected to the Internet when I am visiting a location with a wireless network. I have been purchasing the games when I am doing my laundry and installing them directly on my laptop.

This time I purchased VtM–OfB for my desktop and assumed it would be installed on my desktop, like BoU. Instead it let me continue the game online, until the 403 error, which is the only ending I have had for the game. When I shut my browser there was no icon to click on for the game-- so I can only play the game on your website. It is as if someone keeps assuming everyone is always online, which is annoying to me.

I apologize for the tone. Something is triggering one of my allergies. (Even if most people around here don’t know about there have been wildfires out west, the smoke has been giving me headaches. That may be happening again.)

How do you romance Jace?

Apparently it is Google Play, which only has my Android devices connected to it, despite my using my desktop for the purchase. I think I may have bought BoU via Amazon. I have no idea how to go about telling Google Play to add a device which I am already using it on! So it would seem Google Play is who I am mad at for this problem

The 403 error ending is still a major problem, however. (Not as major as Global Climate Change, which is a bit off topic. Sorry.)

Hi! I answered your email this morning with more information about the error and how to play the game on your devices. Did you receive that? If so, please respond there - it’s much easier for us to resolve these issues over email than in a forum thread.

So I take it this means Monroe isn’t an option?

Ya know I made the deus vult joke now I wonder if I can viably make a melee/true faith build

I’ve downloaded this game, after a couple of run throughs on the free version. There does seem to be a slowburn, ‘Salem’s Lot’ influence here (as if friend Sarah’s nickname isn’t a giveaway)

Glad to read about the romance options on this thread! Thanks.

Out of curiosity, how many chapters are there in the game? Also, I’ve read on the internet that there’s four main endings to the game. Can anyone confirm that?

I just finished the game, and i was thinking it has some similarities with zombie exodus, now i know why XD.
Congratulations.

For Monroe is basically turn down chastain in chapter nine and you go with an intimate moment with the younger vampire instead, if you accept that is. Of course having a good relationship level with her first, which is support her and her group.

Just tried a thing and it’s possible. It’s in the same spot as the Jace scene in chapter ten. I think I missed it because the last time I went through that path, I’d set myself as liking guys only.

Now, since I already congratuled the author, now i have some observations.

1- i think resourses is just a waste atm, i maxed it, but i didn’t find any chance to use it as a stat or the money.
2- the social stas have a lot more importance than the others in this game, mental second, and physical last.
3- i wish I could be pissed off at the new vamps after that attack (P and K). (Also, i would like for a option to set up a trap, using ocult or tech, to stun, or something like this)
4- is this game intended to have a sequel? Cause the cost to max a skill or abilities it’s not worth it by the amount of exp that we get
5- before the final fight, i think we should get a chance to use the saved exp
6- In the last chapters i don’t remember getting any exp at all, and we do a lot of things.
7- in the day we have a lot of things to do, we don’t have a way to look at hour, and i think it would help on planing.

Ps: please don’t misunderstand, i loved the game for real, the story, the characters, the idea of having a store, everything is incredible

Near the end you can buy enough gear to make a gun nut blush and can bribe a couple people .

Yeah social stats are important cause well, most of the game is talking and investigating. Even shooting is more mental so physical stats are kinda left in the backseat even in the ttrpg. Need to focus on melee if you want to use them a lot

Yeah, but we can talk using intelligence, resolve or even strength (useful for intimidating). It’s not always being charming or manipulative.

I like what I’ve been able to play. I have theories on what all is going on.

Firstly, thanks for the terrific read.

Is it possible to broker peace between Monroe and Chastain, romance Monroe, and have Chastain turn you into a vampire? I tried doing this but got the FBI Witness Protection Program ending? Thanks for the help in advance. : )
