Future suggestion, but you might want to change some text when pictures are also shared for the first time.
It mentions Amanda being in an orange dress, but shows her in a green one upon meeting her for the first time.
Or if you get the picture of the woman in the cowboy hat. The picture has a blue bikini top, but the text says orange: “A young woman in a short-brimmed cowboy hat, gray jumpsuit and orange bikini top.”
Wasn’t sure where to post this, but I ran into my first bug.
I was investigating Chastain’s house, and decided to grab the physical photo of Chastain and Monroe. However, after I left the house, the game acted like I had only taken a photo on my phone, and not actually grabbed the physical photo.
The game seems to forget that I was the one who went into Chastain’s house as a kid and did so alone. Adam gets all the credit while we are searching for Tyler. Also, I get a 403 error just after telling Salem I am fine with taking the relationship slow, and the game tells me to email you. And then I am back at the 403 refresh screen.
This is the most blown away I’ve been by a COG demo in… quite some time. It’s intriguing, well-written, coherently plotted and paced; it’s like a really good episode of Buffy or Nosferatu or the like. I’m sorry to say that I don’t have the ability to purchase the game right now, but I have every intention of doing so the moment I get the chance. As good as Jim’s zombie games are, this just completely blows them out of the water.
Hmm, I’m trying to get a feel of the romance options and managed to trigger every romance/flirt option in my playthroughs except Jace’s . Is there something I’m doing wrong?
It’s super interesting to play as a human for once in this world rather than a vampire, so yeah, congrats on the release!
@AAO@blupe@Scelous Thanks for making a note of these. Unfortunately, we can’t take bug reports on the forum thread. Please email them to support AT choiceofgames DOT com.
Sorry about that. I sent a message to support-outforblood-web AT choiceofgamesDOTcom which, now that I am not half asleep, is what the screen says to do. I also suggested tweaking your purchasing system to be more friendly to those of us who don’t have wireless and are offline most of the time. (I really dislike purchasing a game only to find out your system set things up so I need to be online in order to play. It feels like I wasted my money.)
Hey if you like writing up long reviews, what platform do you use? I’ve been using the Interactive Fiction Database and sometimes GoodReads or StoryGraph. Reviews tend to get lost in the thread of the forums. I don’t see Out for Blood up yet on IFDB, but it’ll probably pop up eventually since Night Road’s on there. Which I…haven’t reviewed yet oops
Our games don’t require you to be online to play (unless something I don’t know about has changed) on a mobile device, but you do need to be online to download them in the first place.
loving the game so far, but is there any way to access character portraits again? i’m playing on steam and i’ve been tinkering with the stats menu for a while but still can’t find them. thank you!
