I can imagine that! ![]()
is the non human life span the same as humans
No, the life span of most non-humans is several times longer than the life span of a normal human and some non-humans can even get several centuries old before they die. Also, many non-human races possess a slowed down aging process. Some even stop aging all together once they reach a certain age or if they gain extraordinary powers. Take the different ancestors for example. Each of them are several centuries old, but because of their extraordinary powers they look all still quite young. Good examples for this would be Erika and Yui. Both of them are over ninehundret years old, but they both still look like they are in their mid twenties.
Well i am definitely glad I stumbled onto this. looks really interesting. Canât wait to get my hands on this.
Are any of the races immortal?
No, non of the demihuman and non-human races are immortal. However, some races can get extremly old and are hard to kill, like Dragons, Kitsune or Zombies, which lets them appear like they were immortal.
What about Death? Is she immortal
Yes, Death is immortal. She is probably the only being in the Universe that canât be killed. Certain other beings, like the first Dragonâs or the various Gods might be immortal as well, but they still can be killed (of course itâs extremly hard to kill them, especially the eight first Dragonâs).
If you romance Sophia or became really good friends would she still be able to kill you when the time comes or would she be unable to.
Wait, whatâs this about Sophia killing you? Did I miss something?
No you didnât missed anything. @Blank just phrased it a little bit strange. He/She meant, if Sophia would be able to collect your Soul if you get deadly injured or get killed in the game.
Thatâs a though question. On the one Hand, Sophia is obliged to follow Deathâs orders and has to collect the Souls of the deseased. On the other Hand, it would be extremly hard for her to collect the Soul of the Person she loves. I think a Situation like this would put her into a great moral dilemma, with her tasks as a Reaper on the one side and her love for you on the other side.
Would it matter if she collects you or not though? Your body is already dead so your soul will have to go somewhere.
It would matter, because once she collects your Soul, it would be directly send to the afterlife and what happens thereafter is unknown. Maybe you will get reincarnated or your Soul will simply stay on another plane of existence. However one thing is sure. You would be gone forver and she wonât be able to see you ever again. Reaper are pratically immortal, because of their close connection to Death, which means that they rarely die and in the end never reach the afterlife. So even if your Soul would continue to exist on another plane, she still wonât be able to see you again or to âreunitedâ with you. If you get reincarnated it wouldnât be much better. You might keep the characteristic energy of your Soul, but you would of Course lose all your memories from your previous life. So, even if she could find you in your reincarnated form you would still have no memories about her. So, no matter which scenario occurs, once Sophia collects your Soul she would lose you forever.
Thatâs quite sad
What would happen if your soul kept wandering with nobody collecting it though?
Also do you have to be a reaper just because youâre born as one? Or is it a curse/punishment from Death and the other gods? Can you refuse being a reaper?
If a Reaper refuses to collect your Soul, one of two things would happen. First your restless Soul would wander through the world, until another Reaper collects you. This would be the most common scenario.
However, if you have a strong Soul, things might be much more different. Instead of wandering through the world, your Soul would stay anchored with your body. The released raw energy of your Soul would repair the damage caused to your physical Body, to the point where your Soul can enter it again. Though the energy you not only heal your body. You would be also turned into a Spirit, a supernatural hybrid race. As a Spirit you would keep all your characteristics, features and powers of your former race, but you would also gain some new abilties and powers. You would also keep all your memories. All in all, you would basically stay the same Person. However, while this might sound like a good Option, it is important to say, that this is a rare, and I mean extremly rare, case. During the Long history of our Universe, there were probably only a handful of beings who actually turned into Spirits after they died.
Reaper are a natural born race, however only because you were born as a Reaper doesnât mean that you have to collect Soulâs for Death. Once a Reaper reaches the age of eighteen they will be given a choice. First, they can refuse to become a Soul Collector, which would end with them losing most of their powers but ultimately, they would be able to live the rest of their life in peace. Second you would accept being Soul Collector, which would give you unimaginable powers and immortality, but also the task to collect the Soulâs of the deceased in all enternity, until they are released by Death from their Duties.
Does being a soulmancer increases that odd? Since the manipulation of their own soul seems to be what soulmancers do.
A second question, if you donât mind. Now, I havenât re-read the demo for quite some time, but I seem to recall that a soulmancerâs weapon is the manifestation of their soul (or part of it), would it be possible to transform the entirety of our soul into a weapon when our soul is released from our body? Transform us into a sentient weapon for Sophia to use, you know? Itâs like saying âI wonât leave you, even in deathâŚâ, kinda romantic, donât you think?
This seems really interesting, I wonder if you or any of your friend could become spirits.
By the way could a strong soul actually resist the reaperâs magic so reapers couldnât collect it? And are reapers stronger than soulmancers?
No, being a Soulmancer doesnât increase the chance of becoming a Spirit.
No, the ability to collect Soulâs was given to the Reaperâs by Death herself. No matter how strong your Soul is, Reapers would always be able to collect them. Except when you turn into a Spirit.
No, they arenât stronger than Soulmancers. Reaperâs might have as well the ability to turn the energy of their Soul into a Weapon, but they canât manipulate their Soulenergy as freely as the Soulmancer.
So if u can control your soul to transform into something wouldânt that make u a death weapon
I just saw the comment abrove this one beat me to the punch
Sorry, but I donât understand your question. Could you maybe rephrase it.
