Thieves' Gambit: The Curse of the Black Cat

@GloriaRose Sorry, I can’t remember.

Still Thank you @FairyGodfeather, it was nice hearing from you :slight_smile:

What platform do you own the game on? If you bought it in either the chrome store, or on the choice of games website, you can read the code and use that to work out how to get the ending you want.

Ok. Uploading patch 1.0.4 to Apple right now.

Patches have already been uploaded to Chrome, web, AAA, and GPS.

Dan will do Steam tomorrow.

This fixes the Nick bugs, the chargen bugs, and the display of Team Rapport.

Has the bug where if you choose Technique as your main, sneak as you secondary and technology as the bad trait wherein when you choose technology as the bad thing it lowers technique instead of int?

@FairyGodfeather I own a Android (Samsung galaxy)
And tnx i will definitly try that out.

Did anyone else find the bug having to do with Nick where they…

SPOILER

found out Nick’s real identity, and then if you chose to invite him into your hotel room but kept the fact that you knew his secret to yourself, after a scene where you can say “it doesn’t mater where I am as long as we’re together” or something to that effect, the next page said I had shot Nick the night before and disposed of his body! It was a weird bug, especially because I would LOVE to see how he would react when he reveals his identity and you tell him you already know

That’s the most hilarious bug I’ve ever heard of. What stats did you get to reach what you’re referring to though? I realized his game in the Casino and gave him the cold shoulder because I didn’t want to deal with him playing hard to get. Will that block me out from the scene you mentioned?

Version 1.0.5 is now live, with a hotfix for an uncommon crashing bug in recon.txt.

Um, am I the only one who was kind of hoping you’d get the chance to seduce or at least find out a bit more about Inspector Leclerc?

Tsk. Leclerc is incorruptible, that’s what’s great about her. I can’t see her being at all impressed by such a notorious criminal trying to seduce her. Besides, I think if it was possible Bouchard would have tried it first.

That also includes the steam version right (just to make sure)?

I suppose so. But I might have liked to give it a go. Besides, developing a worthy opponent/best enemies type dynamic with her was a bit more appealing than Bouchard from where I was standing.

I enjoyed the game but I kind of agree with the ending being a bit awkward. I didn’t mind the twist but I think how I was interacting with Nick/Bouchard was I guess choppy? Like the decision to join him, this is a big deal considering my character trusted the guy and had a romance with him. And he’s insulting my character and then suddenly asks my character to join him. And you have a choice between ‘Never’ and an almost flakey ‘What the Hell’. Not only does it seem like there’s no hesitation with Nick acting this way but you are also acting like this betrayal is no big deal either. It was just jawing especially when there was hinting about that vulnerability in him the whole story. Then in the ending, he’s back to being the sweet romantic guy again. I guess I would’ve just liked more from that situation. It felt weird. In the end, I only lost Reg which sucked but it was understandable.

Overall, I had fun though. I want to make sure I specify that. Loved the characters and the action and I’d definitely play another game with these characters.

It looks like there’s a lot of changes from the version I tested. Some of the choppiness might be down to the edits.

I have now discovered the best death ever in a CoG. Eaten by harbour seals. I think it’s up there with the guy who gets eaten by penguins in Syberia 2.

You hear a sound that sends an icy chill down your battered spine. The disconsolate honking of harbor seals. It’s the last sound you’ll ever hear. The Curse of the Black Cat has claimed another victim.

I can’t yet confirm that Dan has pushed the patch to Steam.

Okay, will wait 'til that has been confirmed before continuing playing it then. :smile:

Received a notification this morning that it’s been pushed to Steam.

@jasonstevanhill

quick question why does the site not show the chrome version of this game and only steam instead does the site plan on stopping releases on chrome in the future?

i personally hope not have to much game on it already and prefer to use chrome app instead when it comes to buying these games.

My guess is that the Chrome icon makes things look to cluttered. And Chrome is a very small part of our business. But no, we don’t have plans to discontinue Chrome.

Besides, it’s actually the best deal, as the Chrome store only takes 5%, as opposed to every other platform which take 30%.
