How intelligent is the average skeleton? Are they all going to be super intelligent like Bob or will they need someone to do their thinking for them?
Your typical “Bonehead” … sorry, I could not resist.
You beat me to it by a second.
The basic freshly risen skeleton is very barebones mentally. On the level of a terminal phase husk, very limited, they will obey anything you order to the letter as long as it’s not too complex like a machine. The difference though, is that husks usually only get worse as time goes on because their abilities rely mostly on their body and its state. Skeletons don’t have any organs, so the magic that rises them creates tendons, muscles, nerves and a brain for their soul to puppeteer.
This magic will get stronger as the skeleton (their soul basically) gets stronger, this is why not only their physical abilities will increase but their mental faculties as well. So a high level skeleton is not only stronger, it’s far more intelligent.
Basic skeletons will often be less useful than a fresh husk at first, but it’s rare for a skeleton’s abilities to decay.
Force milk down those skulls, got it.
Are we (the wk) functionally the same if we have our meaty parts or not?
Pros? Cons? Besides lacking the important bits, like skin. And flesh. Especially in the areas without bones. Like my poor nose.
Die a painful despairing death. Surrounded by bad puns
Milk for the Wight King! Calcium for the skeletal tide!
In terms of abilties, it’s different for every state of disembodiment the Wight King reaches. You will lose some abilities but gain new ones as well. It will also have effects on the MC as a character, obviously people will not react to you in the same way, but you as well will be less human with all that accompanies this lack of humanity.
Among the pros you’ll have things like being more durable, less affected by most type of damager, but weaker to the types undead are already weak against, your aura of dread will become stronger, you’ll become less susceptible to feel emotions but have more trouble controlling them when you do feel them. Your ability to dominate undead will also increase and you will unlock different abilities.
Among the cons, your survival instinct will dull since you’ll become less and less mortal. Your physical senses will decrease but your spiritual sense will increase. Your empathy will decrease significantly. Your sense of self will slowly erode if you don’t make efforts to maintain it. Your resistance to chaos will increase but the dark powers will tighten their hold.
I’m not being exhaustive, but that’s the gist of it.
Joke’s on you, I’ve been dying slowly for 22 years from my own terrible puns.
This book is really engaging lol. I’m reading the 3rd chapter right now and I can literally feel the desperation to get out of that haunted castle.
How far can we go? Like bodiless spirit or are we just gonna go for a pile o’ bones
At least up to skeleton in the game. But maybe farther, if some particular requirements are met, or if you failed spectacularly.
But you can’t become purely spiritual unless you die for good, becoming a lost soul or a wraith.
Well, many things have been discussed I see also my insight tells me that the future of this series has already been decided by chaos through you bl00dragon…still anxious for some magic and until then I patiently await.
Just here to see if there are any other lurkers. It’s been quiet for a bit
yeah, but that’s a good thing tho, the silence means the boss is concentrating on making a good tale for us, innit?
I do believe that’s the right idea, friend
Yeah sorry about the silence. I was busy with irl things unfortunately and I still am somewhat. I’m still working on the next chapters though.
Does anyone have Chilopodophobia? Forgive me.
According to Google, Chilopodophia is a fear of centipedes. Then yes, I have a fear of centipedes, also I fear all other kinds of insects, even the ants. Guess it’s called insectophobia?
Entomophobia is the fear of insects. But what I understand of phobia is that it’s a crippling fear of something so intense you wouldn’t even touch something an insect was on maybe for months for example. I think to an extent most people are afraid of insects like most people are afraid of the dark, but few people truly have entomophobia.
1000-7?
I don’t really have such fear of insects where I don’t touch the things where the I sect were, but yeah I’m still afraid of them. Entomophobia it is then
I’ve watched/read Tokyo Ghoul. I was born for this.
