Depends on what they have. Husks can use weapons. But they don’t deal necrotic damage unless a necromancer makes them this way.
How hard is enchanting in this verse
Edit. If a husk is magical before they are killed and reanimated would they retain their magic?
It’s hard. It’s an art, and very different from magic. There are many different ways to enchant, different languages and different ways. Some rely on the wizard’s glyph system, other on dwarven runes, spirit infusion…
I have a interesting weapon for this who want a spear but get a sword the Boar Sword
ahh so a dying wizard laughing is defiantly one you want to fear unconditionally as they no longer have a reason for holding back at all.
That’s why you use a trebuchet to kill him since it can fire a 90 kilogram projectile at over 300 meters making it the superior siege weapon
Considering the fact that that wizard has such power, I would rather use a good ol’ Warwolf, just to make sure of course, don’t want no vengeful party members surviving zee attack right?
That doesn’t sound like it might work given the power of some magics and they probably out range it. Meteor strike or temporally turn earth to water only for it to change back a few seconds later. I could go much more sinister but yea this isn’t horror hour.
You don’t want to be visible by said wizard or for even what direction you are let alone within reasonable range.
Regardless chaos unleashed by a wizard with nothing to lose can we say birth of the eye of terror?
Oh no, it will be Cadia all over again I can feel it, it will be Cadia in a fantasy setting
When Arkadia Fell the paladins stood to the last. Never again,Remember Arkadia.
Enlist as a paladin today.
I find it ironic that the kingdom is Arkadia
And Cadia was destroyed.
If a siege weapon isn’t effective make it bigger seems to usually work
Tell that to the wight king in the beginning fight
It seems i must start a crusade to remove all non trebuchet worshippers
I don’t think I’m allowed to start or join those anymore
shudders remembering the first door crusades
As a spear-like weapon, I was thinking of adding a partizan, it seems like a decently polyvalent weapon. I was also thinking of a sword-staff. A very long handle with an average sword blade on top, it seems to me like it could work well.
When you’re wounded or dying, it’s harder to focus on your magic. But it’s always smart to be wary of a mage that has nothing to lose. Most mages will prefer to run away than blow themselves up, but sorcerers are especially adept at blowing themselves up (not always what they meant to do).
Too bad trebuchets are made out of oh so flammable wood.
That’s one huge trebuchet.
Well, mages do have many advantages over trebuchets, one of them being the fact you don’t need to shoot once before to adjust your aim, that you don’t have to lug their slow ass around and that they’re good no matter the target.
Most spells don’t have crazy range, but a good old fireball can usually reach the trebuchet when it’s at firing range.
Well, a mage can’t control chaos directly, you can’t control chaos. They merely harness its power. There are ways to unleash chaos, but it’s almost always indirectly. You would have to be so incredibly powerful to unleash chaos directly, that you probably would never need to do so.
But yeah if someone could unleash chaos, it would be about as terrifying as the eye of terror.
Things don’t sound too auspicious for Arkadia then. XD
Honestly given that the Wright King get’s stronger off of emotions I just want to violate the evil overlord list. I need people to hate me. Unless it doesn’t matter if they’re dead or not. So I’m pretty fine with a normal sword, (or two, should be pretty practical except for people near are strength level right?) and fighting dirty, no need for fancy weapons for me. Actually I should use a knife. Knifes are for legendary figures right? And of course natural magic ability
Summary
Are there ithillids like creatures?
Do you have something like the Underdark?
Well, it’s true to an extent. The effect is only noticeable when a sufficiently big group of people is affected. If the Wight King stood in the middle of a crowd, all of them terrified, then yeah, wk’s power would increase significantly. But if there is only one person in front of you, something like fear will really not affect you much.
You’d have to do something so terrible as to break their mind for it to work with a single person.
Honestly, you’d get stronger from their soul than their emotions so killing them is an easier way of increasing your power. Especially on short-term.
Well if you have both weapons out and in your hands you won’t be able to use magic, mc is similar to sorcerers in the sense that they need a free hand to use most of their powers.
A dagger is one of the secondary weapons I want to add to the secondary list. And it will be all about fighting dirty.
Jack the Ripper and Michael Myers are pretty legendary I guess, so maybe knives ARE for legends.
Not mindflayers exactly, but there are creatures of a similar nature in the Abyss. Some demons can also be compared to them.
The undrgrounds of Shinra aren’t exactly thriving with civilized activity, people are afraid of the depths, be it the sea’s or the earth’s. But dwarves and dark elves do explore the depths relatively frequently, sometimes making outposts. But even the dark elves are wary of the things down below, reasonably enough.
No one is really sure what they’re expecting to find down there, but they go nonetheless. Sometimes, they even return.
