But in my defense, at least Murphy is cool
Sera, the author, has actually planned the second game to track your shy/bold flirt choices so that the game responds in turn. I believe this means that more bold MCs will get to experience bolder dialogues and scenes, while shyer MCs will be able to take things as slow as they need to.
We will see, of course, but if you like, the demo to the second game is already up with two chapters available for play!
I think the answer to that question is best elaborated upon in the NSFW thread.
Hmm what NSFW thread??
I hope so because I was about broken my phone in anger first time i played it and Like Nath. Like What the fuck is happening? I am being max bold and sarcastic and suddenly I am princess virgin sparkless pony waiting for alpha male give me a hand. before marriageā¦
If there is something i hate with all my soul is forced into submission to romance a character. So far I would not romance anyone until a balanced relationship is possible.
Rest of game is fun and exciting i love it. So with more options in romance dynamic could make game better.
Iām trying to add you but Iām having trouble, would anyone whoās in the NSFW thread mind helping out? I canāt see to invite new people.
Could you give us some specific examples? I never really felt like my MCs was being submissive unless I made the choice for them to be shy
Well I have to read it again. But In the kiss all is him taking control andmy character waiting for him to notice. Blushing without reason no option to be upfront and directly say. Nath I like you a lot you are hot do you want date me?
And the puritain version of kissing like it were something weird.
Well, there are no kissing in the book yet? We might get the chance to make the first move, and some of it does depend on who you romance and how. This is the first in a series of 7 books and this one is to just lay the groundwork.
Though I donāt think the game is trying to push women being submissive to men since the game was made to be played by anyone and if your MC is a man with female Unit Bravo it plays out the same.
@Anathema andā¦
To anyone else who is interested in the NSFW thread:
There seems to be an issue regarding the NSFW Topic (and the Detective Discussion thread) as the invite button for both is gone. Iāll be contacting a mod, but if anyone is interested in joining either, please allow time for this issue to be fixed.
Edit from the future:
Disregard everything I have said before, thereās now a NSFW thread. Go ham, my piggies, go ham and h a r d.
Who did you try to kiss? I donāt think itās nessesarily trying to be Puritan, just that, well, it would be unfair for Book 1 go let you kiss one RO and none of the others. All the ROās romances will go at their own pace so picking the right one will probably help a lot.
If youāre looking for a more spicy romance Mason/Morgan is a good choice!
Yeah, thatās one way to put it.
I hate him so nope. It not my type I was about thinking kill her him . Nath is my favorite is sarcastic and fun . Adam is okay little grumpy. Characters are well written
This is what happens if you donāt kinkshame all the villain lovers enough
Itās book one of seven. Of course you canāt smooch yet. Some romances will be able to smooch sooner than others, but not in the first book.
Well, you canāt kill any of Unit Bravo, just fyi.
I believe Felix/Farah and Nate/Natās romances will go āfasterā than the other two, if only because theyāre more open and accepting of their feelings, but you also have to take into account that these characters (except Mason/Morgan) are not comfortable with jumping into a physical romance so quickly, and not only that, theyāre expecting to leave at the end of their mission, so as much as Nate/Nat may like you, they donāt want to break your heart by leaving, so not much will happen in the first game, understandably.
But after the events of the first game, Unit Bravo is permanently assigned to watch over Wayhaven, so hopefully this means the romances will go faster and more to your liking. Sera is really close to updating the demo, and I suggest you try to it to see if you like what direction sheās going in thus far.
But I should warn you, Seraās favorite trope is the interrupted kiss, lol, so thatās probably going to happen a lot, lol.
Also Nate is old as fuck so if any of them are going to be all āwe shouldnāt, itās improperā itās them. Damn, Sexy Grandpa
Coming out of lurkdom to try to helpā¦
Do you mean the scene with Nate where your detective can be forward with him and he says itās better to talk? While I agree it was somewhat of a dampener for my more forward characters, it fits with Nateās personality. Heās a nice guy and wants to get to know the detective before things get, erm, physical.
One of the many things Sera did really well with the game was to create four romance options that have entirely different feels to them. They are pretty fleshed out, like real people, andājust like real peopleāsome take well to people being forward with them and some want to move a bit slower. Nate is one of the slower kinds. Heās all for the flirting but he isnāt just going to hop into bed with someone out of the blue (though from asks, Iām getting the feeling he might have in the past!).
How was he dominant? The entire team is in full on āprotect the detectiveā mode after the truth comes out about them being vampires. And, since they are stronger (and have super senses), they would behave as shields for the detective until they realize she/he isnāt some helpless wallflower (for example, Adamāwho is the worst about treating the detective like a completely helpless moron, in the beginningāhands over the injection to take out Murphy, which shows heās beginning to accept the detective as part of the team and as someone who is actually competent). Itād kind of be like a bunch of professional bodyguards suddenly having a scrawny-looking teenager thrown in with them (remember, the vamps are all way older than the detective). Itād take time for them to start seeing thereās more to the teen than skin, bones, and lack of experience.
Well, the vampires originally figured that, once the Murphy thing was settled, theyād go their way and the detective would go his/her way. So for some (like Adam), itās a little weird. Nate was honestly happy about it, but I didnāt see him as being dominating. He just has that protective thing going on to an extreme degree. So if you donāt like the doting mother-hen types, Nate may not be a good option (I had to stick a specific character on that route, because others didnāt deal well with him at all and, when one of them got forward and he was like ānahā, she was done and wouldnāt try again, so I had to choose a different route for her).
You should probably choose Adam or Mason, then. Possibly Felix. Felix is the least dominant of the bunch (and doesnāt have the mother-hen thing going on that Nate has). Mason is good if you just want your character to be in it for the sex (though romance will come later, so be forewarned, and your character will have feelings way before he will⦠and he is a very dominant type, so itāll be a battle if you want your character to be more dominant with him). Adam may be a good choice, too. He has interesting responses to bold flirting. He still resists it, because heās a stubborn pain in the ass, but he is definitely interested and, as Sera put it, he is already in deep, he just wonāt admit it for a long time.
But I think you may find the game more enjoyable if you choose a non-Nate route. Also, just remember that itās an interactive novel, so while you may get choices as to how certain things progress and how your character responds to certain things, the author has to push the story the way she wants to tell it. So you pretty much need to hang on and enjoy the ride, and understand that you can only control so much of it.
Lol, I think that i will end playing this without romantic choice rest of game is worth it. I just wanted a sincere romance without tropes.
Quickie marriage in Vegas so we can , got it.
Whoās improper now, huh grandpa??? ITāS LEGAL BEFORE THE EYES OF GOD.
