You could try the other romances as well. I think Felix’s is both really sweet and it’s refreashing in that it doesn’t play out how one would expect considering his character. Plus I think he plays off bold MCs really well. I wouldn’t recommend Adam since it will be so much mutual pining.
And definitely don’t do the Love Triangle.
About the submissive thing(in the romantic way not the nsfw way), I know if you play M’s route it does kinda seem like the mc have to be submissive. (Which the author said it’s because of M’s nature, so I understand.) And with F it feels like the mc is the more dominant one (but that’s just my observation from only picking the bold options.) But with A and N the mc felt more on the neutral side. (But these are just something I’ve noticed, I don’t think it was the creator’s intention.) But this only book one(and book two the demo).

I am a monogamous person except in Bioware games. Nat has the personality I like the most. I see okay he wants wait I am a demi romantic person ao i don’t actually do anything until I trust the guy. But same time i am upfront saying I like you I want to know you better.
M is dominant and the worst character evwr for me if there is a chance to kill him he is dead… Felix i don’t know is like mute I don’t have any relationship with him he was just there. Adam is the grumpy Alistair type but mature I like him but I am afraid he became like Mr Grey or something.
Like I said, that’s not going to happen.
Sera wants these games to be a (mostly) light-hearted escape from reality, to be a safe haven, really, and killing off one of major romanceable characters isn’t really that type of thing that signal ‘safety’ and ‘escapism’, you know?

I’ve heard people call Adam a lot of things but Alistair-type is not one of them! Was Alistair very grumpy in your playthrough? Because in all of my playthroughs he was more of a Felix-type, very happy and open with his emotions (and tragic family related backstories).
I’m also 100% sure that Adam would never play with little doll versions of himself and the Detective, that’s a Felix thing to do if I ever saw one.
