Yeah, if she knew what Rebecca had done there? She might let the ice crack a bit. I’m thinking that her being around UB so much will help that, because she already considers them to be family. And seeing Rebecca be good to them should help somewhat. She’s a stubborn pain in the ass (my MC, not Rebecca but the 79% stubborn should give that away!)
@Fujcog OMG, that scene sounds awesome with M! I got a surprising one the way I played it. My MC actually got really upset over Sanja being killed because she thought she fucked up the whole mission and knew it was her fault, and Mason just tells her not to do that, that that kind of pain isn’t what he wants for her. It was…
Any ideas on the very scary readings she gives the RO during the carnival? It feels like very strong foreshadowing towards maybe the famous book 5?
Mason’s reading was: “A bond like the one you two will share-one that will last an eternity.” She hesitates. “If the coming darkness makes you break… she may willingly break with you.”
This sounds… intense, and also makes me feel like banging pots and pans yelling for the next books already . But seriously, I LIVE for this kind of drama, and I can’t already wait
i just finished my first playthrough of A’s route and i have feelings…! emotions…! some spoileric thoughts because i need to yell somewhere:
All of this pining and desperate wanting Slow burn in A’s route was, once again, the most excellent. chef’s kiss Very intense romance full of longing and mutual pining is still exactly my cup of tea, and I loved how it continued from book 1.
I also loved how this book explores the love interest’s inner self through everything that happens in the carnival, their fears and regrets. With A it felt specially powerful since they, obviously, has a lot of regrets in their life despite how much they try to deny it. The whole concept of giving judgement was super intriguing. I can’t wait to figure out what haunts them so deeply.
“You fear the light” !!! It was so beautiful and sad, my heart.
The fact that A was so pressed about not getting those ducks… absolutely hilarious
As someone who is from Finland, it made me so so happy to see Estonian mythology playing a big part in this book - I feel like folklore from this corner of the world is easily overlooked. (I honestly almost yelled when I recognized Estonian word for ‘thank you’, haha)
Ok, but that training scene with A No words, honestly. I guess that technically my detective would have chose gaining knowledge, but I was sitting here like “… yeah I am only human, sorry”, heh
We got some really interesting insight about the stuff outside Agency, like those rogue supernaturals. It’s one of the things that intrigues me the most right now.
Tina!! My detective encouraged her to find out about supernatural world, ahh, very curious how this plotline will continue.
Also… poor Douglas trying to dress like A… I felt like I was dying from laughter when I read that scene (I am very eyeball emoji about the stuff I have read about Bobby in this thread tho, omg!)
Unit Alpha!!! They were delightful , I didn’t imagine I would enjoy them this much, but I did. The scenes between the brothers and A were hilarious.
Again, I cackled like mad when I get to choose that ‘is their name Unit Alpha because they are werewolves” because I just knew it would bring up “they are ranked higher than Unit Bravo” discussion, and boy that didn’t disappoint, lol
All the friendship stuff was once again really nice <3
asdfgd A and that whole ‘tu omnia’ thing!!! It’s one of my favorite tropes so I died when it happened and I get to see translation
and that last scene, my heart
I probably forgot a lot of things I wanted to say but all in all, I had so much fun and can’t wait to reread and try other choices etc, etc. 6/5 Thank you so much, Sera!
So M’s route was perfect. Just did F’s too and it was just so sweet and hot and…ugh. He used to be my last choice for RO but is quickly rising in the ranks!
We are togetheeeeeeeeeeer and it’s so cuuuuuuuute!!! I won him a beautiful unicorn necklace at the carnival, and we kissed and we hold hands and all the adorable things and
Sleeping with him at the hospital was so nice as well, I really enjoyed spooning him while he recovers from the fight. Ahhhhh, I am overflowing with cuteness after this route, it is truly wholesome
So I ended up binging the game after release because I have no self-control.
Omg!! I really love the plot and the investigation, how different it feels from Book 1 without losing it’s spirit. And, of course, I also loved the romance
Not gonna go through any details but… Mason
Also, that small glimpse of Unit Alpha! I had so much fun meeting with them.
coming here to report something, (doing farah route)
Summary
She ends the call, slips the phone back into her pocket, and turns to me with a heavy sigh.
“You’ve got to go?” I ask, already knowing the answer.
She ends the call, slips the phone back into her pocket, and turns to me with a heavy sigh.
“You’ve got to go?” I ask, already knowing the answer.
“Yeah.” Another heavy breath follows the words. “But now I kinda don’t wanna leave…even if I have to.” Her amber eyes shimmer as they gaze into my own.
I loved the playthrough, it was as fantastic as the first book! Will we see more of unit alpha in the next book? Would there be any possibility of an affair or relationship?
Man, I just finished my first run through, with my RO route being A, and I’m speechless. Every moment with A are ones to forever cherish, and savor.
Especially with that hospital scene, after you go into the sewer to save Sanja, and she tells you to help Sanja over her. When she spoke to my MC in Latin, I had to look up what it meant, but when I did, my heart melted.
However, what I’m even more happy, and shocked about, is that I’m fairly certain I got the good ending with Falk, and his people; aka, making peace with them, and giving them a new home. Saving Sanja, and realizing that she was the cornerstone for them signing the treaty couldn’t have made me smile more. Once he realized that my MC was genuine in wanting to help him and his people, it warmed my heart. I may have missed it in my excitement, but I think Falk and my MC are friends. Well, at least, his definition of friends. I hope we get to me more of Falk in the future.
Fantastic work, Sera. Fantastic. I can’t wait for Book 3.
Finished playing and the feels are too many. I was not disappointed at all.
Of course Adam and Mason are my favourite best bois.
Adam’s route and in LT was slowly killing me with all this yearning and angst. So many feelings and subtles touches
I love some good slow burn.
Mason, he left me speechless and wanting more. I love his subtle change and reactions towards MC. I love how M
drawn is Mason towards the MC already without realizing, my heart And that scene with him, no words His sex scene was so hot and full of raw chemistry
As for how to trigger Bobby’s, apperance to MC’s house and the UB reaction finding out , it depends ont.h way you have chosen to feel about him and if you chose to work instead of going out for drinks both in Book 1; If there are still feelings that hurt and can’t get over, it will trigger it
So overall, a fantastic book! Can’t wait toreplay all the and discover more. I’m already excited about Book 3!
I think I’m going end up sleep deprived from playing this game excessively.
The scene where Bobby asks to enter the apartment I thought he was only joking and only realized it when he tried to kiss the detective.
M’s route was unexpectedly cute for me? Like him/her grabbing a chair for the detective to sit on, perching on the detective’s chair and that option to give M a kiss on the cheek… I decided to copy A’s strategy in M’s route to dodge his/her attempts to initiate physical intimacy and it was so hard to do ugh.
“Woah…no one’s ever kissed me like that before” had me deceased. My heart.
The only other book one saves I have ready to go right now are the love triangle and A’s route. Definitely feeling like the love triangle is gonna crush me.
