It was a crazy thought but with how things were going, I felt like it was going towards that route but Alvena will be beyond pissed because Isabelle would have taken her husband’s favour and also her favourite child now and she’d poison MC against their mother too.
I could see Isabelle trying to seduce the MC but maybe the ROs put her in line or the MC just straight up ignores her

Imo one of the complaints i have so far is that you get “locked" In the romance route with some characters too soon (most notably Clara) and there’s little to no indication who is poly now.

That would push him to the edge though, he is already fragile enough. He is capable of anything now and I’m honestly gonna murk (kill) him silently and make sure he didn’t pregnate anyone if it comes to that.
I’m also scared for Freya bcz at the pace I’m going even I’m capable of anything, I feel she’ll pull the Francois move on me because of her relationship.

Freya is kinda of “all bark no bite” but her situation is probably the stickiest.
Atheris is as subtle as a sledgehammer, Richard has like… 4 different moments that we could consider blatant treason (The disrespect on the Crowning, Smilling when you get attacked if you don’t poison the supplies, Gloating said fact in a suicidal-ish manner, Actively betraying the country by being in cahoots with Lena)
I strongly doubt Freya WILL DIRECTLY hurt us unless we kill her Will Turner wannabe or smt, she mighf escape but I doubt that her resistance will be too meaningful, now indirectly it’s another can of worms cus I just know that pirate is more trouble than he’s worth
Apparently dating a criminal, even if a unwilling one, is pretty damn bad PR that will certainly ruin the Crown’s image.

I hope so, I love my siblings but they are all problems and some don’t even notice it. I can avoid the Freya situation by secretly killing that pirate but Atheris and Richard are the problem.
The choices at the start of Chapter 8 irk me a little, Is Gerard going to betray us? , (I hope not)
“Quite negative” is putting it lightly. People made one of the authors have a nervous breakdown due to accusing them of using AI in their writing and not letting up on it.
I will not act like I am innocent in the animosity towards AI (not in this case, I got wind of the drama on reddit) as I did accuse a writer of using AI once, but this is not cool.
Making people have mental breakdowns over their writing and art is not fucking normal, no matter how much people may dislike the practice
(I’m not gonna get into how it’s worrying that the writer was in a position to have a breakdown due to these accusations, but that too plays a part)

Our family is a pile of disfunctional assholes. It’s been gone over on this thread multiple times.
Richard has the emotional maturity of a baby seal, Atheris somehow has more anger issues than Max Verstappen and wanted us to kill our fucking brother, and Freya is directly causing harm to the royal family by drugging the fucking guards protecting the castle.
And we have to be the Monarch of these types of people, huh.
I also want to see the MC start having a say in the following chapters, I want to turn into Charles (don’t kill me just yet, people) in the perspective of, I want people to follow me because I am their ruler, not because I am the offspring of Mr. Brown.

If only we could burn what make the pirate a pirate and make Freya find him like he was a simple traveler that got hurt and her and her big heart helped him better already would work as a cover story
Considering said brother does like… 3 different acts of treason even if you are nice to him, I really have no regrets on what must be done, my guy is really fumbling on his “boohoo Father only cared about me by proxy boohoo” breakdown. (Which tbf I don’t fully blame him)
At least with Atheris you see it coming from a mile away and she is largely loyal if impulsive, Freya is being a naive dumbass but not out of actual malice, meanwhile Richard certainly has a shot if he actually rebelled AND ressentment (even on the non-poison route) AND did some acts that we could say it questions our authority and thus is an act of treason.
Coldly speaking, he is our half brother, not a full sibling like Atheris or Freya, this is another dynasty branch we are talking about, he shares our blood but not fully, the sisters may be liabilities too but they are MY full-blood liabilities.
Desn’t help his family branch is flirting with treason a bit as well, TIME TO PARTY LIKE WE ARE THE CALIPHATES! CK2 PLOT MURDER TIME!
I will not lie and say I like Richard, I don’t lol, but outside of population going against us on their own, Richard has the best and biggest claim to dispute control over the Crown (in terms of popularity and taking by force)

No amount of therapy is enough to fix everyone’s issues at this point. Quite frankly, if not for the fact that I have a hard time playing the ‘bad guy’, I’d just have all three siblings ‘disappeared’ and save myself the trouble because quite frankly all of them are liabilities, Atheris is the only one who even approaches usefulness (give her some troops and either she conquers in my name or she dies ‘valiantly in the line of duty’). This is coming from a person who actually likes these characters and understands why they’re so messed up/act the way they do; I’m seriously flip-flopping between pragmatically running the kingdom and just saying “f*** it” and watching it all burn because with very few exceptions, these people are unbearable.
I’m just waiting for the moment I can ruthlessly kill someone who actually deserves it. Gonna execute a lot of people going forward if I have the chance.

I don’t fully agree but I understand the general sentiment.
Richard is… naive, arguably more so than Freya who at least has a grasp that what she’s doing is forbidden but Richard is just chasing around father’s love, he wants to be acknowledged and loved but frankly he doesn’t really do anything to deserve it.
He loves Clara but breaks down when she doesn’t love him back.
He claims to be kind yet once again he only does it to chase around approval rather than goodwill, and if we poison the supplies he go “ohh no could this be?? Why??” When even Charles points out he SHOULD have seen that coming.
The only real thing he has going is being “Charles Golden Boy” and even that is a lie, Atheris gets bit shocked when she can’t come up with a reason to hate Richard in Marenia but let’s be honest here, Richard is condescending and going “Oh Father loves me! I am soooo sorry he never visits you whenever it’s not for me, i’m such a good guy!”
Gee I wonder why Atheris doesn’t like him… power-hungry tendencies aside…
Also, I don’t even recall ANY time where Richard was protective of us compared to Atheris (which in practically all versions, had one moment where she became aggressive to defend us one form or another).

I mean, MY GOD, guy neglected his kids then got pissy that MC is the only one that might have turned out alright relatively speaking. It’s no goddamn wonder all your kids have problems.
