You’re absolutely right, there is no scenario where MC and Richard’s mere existence cause friction between the two and in the kingdom, and even leaving won’t really fix anything. All that said, it stops being MY problem when they thought they can do a better job; at that point, I’m in it for my own safety and peace of mind at that point.

The sword though, you can get creative like Mercy (“of course I showed my enemies mercy when they surrender”) or Retort (“you’ve made a valid point, luckily I always have a clever retort”), or the classic Kindness (“Assassination? No no no, I’ll just kill him with kindness.”). My favorite would probably be Negotiations so I an always say I tried.

That’s honestly fair. In my playthroughs, I don’t antagonize my siblings but I don’t take shit from them either (beat Richard in the arena fight and wasn’t sorry about it for example). I’m pretty sure not working against Richard like Atheris wants me to will bite me and the kingdom in the ass eventually but I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. I feel that Freya’s whole romance will screw the royal fam over more than any civil war though, that shit’s a ticking time bomb.

I beat him too, but I do try to make it clear that I don’t hate him and feel sorry just so he can hopefully get over it faster. Unless he pushes this to a ludicrous degree like straight up kidnapping Clara, hopefully it’ll blow over.
Now I’m generally pretty merciful (Well practical, not that anyone recognizes the difference), but if history has taught us anything, it’s that should things go sideways and it can’t be spun in our favor, we’re killing both of them and not letting one run off with a child never to be seen again. No one will find the bodies, and if anyone asks, then Freya was tragically killed by a pirate when providing humanitarian aid to our ports.
At this point, we really just need a cover story for Atheris since the other two are covered and I can’t trust her to not do something drastic in the future.

That’s why I asked Maevra to keep an eye on her. She doesn’t even realize that she’s taking things too far, and our mother is still in her ear telling her that her paranoia and jealousy is good and that our judgement is naive and blinded. My bet is that she’ll take things into her own hands and try to kill/injure him because she believes she needs to protect us from a threat we aren’t seeing.

Tbh I would let her run away for her lover, and make up a cover story that she was assassinated by the Southern Kingdoms.
This way not only do you save your family’s reputation but you also gain a pirate ally (who might come to use in the future) and on top of that you can rile up the people’s anger to war against the Southern Kingdoms.
For any doubts on the fact that Freya would be recognized I would say that Freya was 3rd inline for the throne and she had little to no public recognition except for a few high tier nobility during the sword choosing ceremony. She wasn’t even easily recognized during her visits into the city. Its just like how the MC wasn’t recognized when they went into the city or how the Lord of fire wasn’t recognized to be related to the Royal family of Rhivenia, out there with pirates it will be near impossible for her to be recognized but there is a risk as always… but there is no rewards without risks.

New here! I don’t know if anyone has asked this before (so I apologize in advance), but I would like to know if the sword of our kingdom has any combat-related powers? (Besides allowing us to review memories of the sword’s former bearer)
And could we use artifacts or special weapons from other kingdoms? (I think the princess who is supporting the MC’s cousin has a necklace that stops or slows down time? And I would like to know if it would be something restricted only to the heirs of each kingdom or if anyone can use it? As long as we have the artifact in our possession)

I’m not too certain on the topic myself but if the southern kingdoms leader has been chosen by the god of fire, I think he may use fire to an extent in combat (if he is an avatar of said god). That being said, I do recall that the original sword wielder was gigantic and that’s why the sword is quite big too. Maybe if we can use the sword as an artifact it will grant us a gigantification power or increased physical capabilities? I can definitely see a battle scene of a giant MC just wrecking the enemy army.

Since magic plays a bigger role in this version (Remake) than in the original version, (I THINK MY TRANSLATOR EXAGGERATED HERE) I was hoping we could use magical abilities through our kingdom’s sword (or artifacts from other kingdoms), as you theorized in providing the MC with gigantic strength. I thought about the possibility of gaining the trust of the princess who supports the MC’s cousin (if it’s still possible in this version. In my first run, in the original version, I managed to show her the truth about the MC’s cousin’s mother), and with her trusting the MC, we could use her as a strong ally with this power to stop or slow down time.
And it would be really cool if the sword of our kingdom provided brute strength or a giant form, representing the former bearer (as if his strength were in the sword)

I don’t think Freya realises how good she has it with the royal family especially in the (medieval i think?) era SoR is set in. Putting her romance aside, she said she would throw away her royalty in a heartbeat if given the chance. Correct me if I’m wrong but she has focused on art only as a princess right? If she was a commoner that’s pretty much out the door, especially in the state Rhivenia is rn. I haven’t played the original SoR but seeing her so far in this demo? I doubt she’d hack it as a commoner.
This romance with the pirate fellow? I can definitely see him teaching her a thing or two about reality out there and shaping her into a more capable person. Remember though, it seems like his boss hates Rhivenian royalty as much as we hate them. I’m not sure if they’ll be able to live in peace unless one side decides to accept what they’ve got going on. Then again, she could surprise me and crap all over my lack of faith in her abilities and actually make it out there alone.

Is it possible to Romance Isabelle? Just joking. I want to romance Lena and Astryn but I’ve already go a thing going with Clara plus she’s started to ghost me which irks me a little but I try to not mind it, but I wonder if having a Poly relationship just means you can a maximum of 2 ROs or it can be more.
I named my Dog “Ghost" like Jon Snow’s direwolf.

Haha, I would totally go for a crazy, faux-Oedipal forbidden romance with Isabelle. That would be wild on so many levels narratively. Maybe the witches gift/curse you with letting her get pregnant. All sorts of Game of Thrones-tier shenanigans with that coupling.
As an aside, I was replaying the original, @NutellaQueen , and forgot there were some cool portraits for every character. Will those be making a return?
