I think I’m going to try and do end of the week updates on the game, to keep myself accountable and on track and also just for anyone who’s that invested. I probably won’t do it in the forums I just think it might be harder to keep track of, but for anyone interested I’m gonna do it on tumblr until I’m finished setting up my website. Lol, in the actual story I’ll keep physical description a little less specific anyway just so people’s imagination can run with it. I don’t really have a strong vision for R yet honestly, I’m kind of curious how you envision them.

Hmm, well, my first thought was green eyed dark blonde, tall and lean. If I were to go into detail, I think I’d naturally assume they have freckles or birthmarks or something, too.
Like, it’s to the point I didn’t even realize you didn’t actually describe them now that I think of it

Well first time playing it and have to say I’m loving it, cant wait to see more and am defenitly making my mc highest stat fighting in case the chance to beat the scrap outta Ben pops up one day

Just wanted to drop by with a little progress update for those who aren’t following the blog. I’m a little over halfway done chapter 2 (maybe a little more). I’ve considered putting out what I have so far for feedback’s sake, but I’m hesitant to release that and then end up making substantial changes to those bits later. I thought I would have been done by now but I got quite sick so it’s slowing me down. Hopefully by next week I will be back on my stride and back at it.
Also redid the Atlus/ Athena art because I didn’t like the style I used for the first try. Don’t know if I love this either, but it’s closer. I haven’t drawn in awhile, still finding my stride on that front as well. Hope everyone is well! Hope the next time I’m posting it’s with actual content~

Chapter 2 is up! If there are any questions, comments, errors, please let me know! Hope it’s likeable. Chapter 3 is when it’s going to start getting a little more involved. So far I’m planning 10-12 chapters maybe, but whatever makes the plot I imagine so far making sense.

While I was playing, I noticed that the options that would increase the Composed stat didn’t increase it at all but the impulsive stat can increase. Exact same issue for the Kind and stoic stats.

Now as for comments on the story development…my mc doesn’t believe a word his captors say , certainly not about the reward truly making him rich…as there is no way the emeralds split seven ways with presumably a healthy cut for the benefactors are worth anywhere near as much and even if they were they are not a particularly fungible commodity.
The only thing I can think of they or their mysterious benefactors have a private buyer already lined up and it is one who is willing to pay far in excess of actual or theoretical market value to put them in a private collection.
But even if their offer is anywhere near as good as they claim there is still the problem that in modern western society it would be very difficult to get that kind of fortune legally in the hands of the mc, as money laundering to put it in the hands of a poor person like the mc has become much more difficult than it used to be. Particularly if we are talking about a sudden large influx of wealth that cannot plausibly be explained through business success, career advancement, etc. That is of course if we really are talking tens of millions of dollars here, as that is what is, at minimum needed to sustain the kind of lifestyle Artus is dangling in front of our mc.
More likely, if there is any “reward” at all it will be anywhere from 10 to 50 thousand, which is way less than what is needed to change the mc’s life, especially if the police found their phone at the museum in which case it all would need to be spent on a halfway decent lawyer. 
I’m not so sure it was Irving…I’m suspecting Beth…with or without assistance from Robin.
Irving has some of the same problems the mc would have with a sudden influx of money shortly after the museum has been robbed, whereas Beth doing the actual work and laundering it through Robin might be genius particularly since Beth seems to have an actual degree and decent employment prospects…meaning the influx of money could be slower and more gradual and thus far more likely to fly under the radar and be able to be passed off as business success, career advancement or simple luck.
Whereas both Irving and the mc are in dire enough straits that they need money right now, which means a sudden large influx that would be a nightmare to launder. Plus even if the mc is the primary suspect Irving being as deeply in debt as he seems to be would make him a strong secondary one.
But the same thing can be said for the mc’s new “boss” too. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, eh?
