Mhh, you know, I’ve been thinking about getting rid of the respect stat, since I have other variables that have the same purpose. It was supposed to act as another way to get people to do what you want; sort of like that friendship/rivalry stat in DA2, but I’m not so sure now We’ll see, the WIP is still in diapers so I’ve got time to test and tweak.
Ye Gods, can Roach get any more loveable as a character, each chapter they keep surprising me. I love these small, in-text, interactions with the cast ; they feel natural and I can’t help but come to care about the characters.

To be fair, it really was funny. But I also appreciate the change; the “nb genders only apply to nonhumans” thing just happens so much and it’s a little… depressing. (Not to say it happens with you specifically; I’ve enjoyed all your wips that I’ve read.)
Im nonbinary, I actually loved it. I don’t think godlike is considered inhuman, if anything it’s considered superior? but either way, considering that the MC is literally a Lovecraftian monster, I dont think it comes off that way. I also enjoy having the gender option come later since both the sex and gender choices are written into the narrative. we don’t know our genders at birth and we are an alien being born as a human and learning about all this as it goes along, I think it makes sense that gender comes after a few years of being human. esp since a lot of nonbinary and trans folk do start to realize their own gender at this point in life, or at least get the sense of what might be making them feel so different (in my case anyway, but it seems common)
tho I can fully acknowledge my own bias as I refer to myself as an ethereal, demonic overlord of sorts or at least a lowkey succubus so I suppose i have an affinity for the theatrics of the option.

Talking about continuity errors; @Hollows good catch during the Truth or Dare scene; I thought I had forgotten to add a variable, when in fact I’d forgotten to write the whole romantic branch with Jonny. My poor weirdo; even the author forgets about him
I’m lowkey worried there’s at least one instance of “torch” turning into “fleshlight” instead of “flashlight”. I won’t deny the mental image is quite amusing, but I would like to know if any of those managed to slip into the text.
Lastly, about the non-binary choice; I added the option to choose NB at the same time you choose to identify as a boy or a girl. For roleplaying reasons I decided to leave the “I’m a God” option in there too; it only adds some flavor text, and then you can pick your gender.
So something has bothered me for a while. About our MC true form, will it be left for the interpretation of the player, will it be connected with the stats (ex: main stat strength= a more bulky form)? Does the true form is permanent? Or the MC can change it at will?
Personally my MC true form with have thousands of eyes. So they can never be caught off guard again.

Sooo here is my MC Lilith with her true form. I got bored with the background so I stopped.
I would really like to ramble about her a bit so I’m putting the details on a summary
Summary
She have a love-hate relationship with Earth, she loves the food and at first the sights, but after a while is get boring living in the same town. She kinda likes Mom and Livvy, I mean she appreciate that they tried their best, but when you’re an eldritch being a human’s best is not much.
Her clothes are very edgy because you know the whole outsider thing. She once considered smoking but then remembered how fragile human bodies are so better not.
Ah and Roach. She see him as an distraction and she get to Lord over him how she can “annihilate” him in an instant so that’s a bonus. But in the future she will catch feelings for him.
And I have some questions (again) for the author. I’m aware they might be spoilers but I must try my luck:
Let’s say MC goes after a human Ro. How will it play in their interaction (MC being something not from Earth)?
Can MC tell someone they not from Earth, ex: Mom, Livvy? (Though I doubt, they might think MC is crazy)
If/when Mc get their power back can they remain on Earth? To explore or it will happen like first time? (The reality will try to get rid of MC)
Can a human Ro know of The Hunter? Let’s say MC tell them.
I just had a great visualization of a human character shrinking back in reality-breaking, uncomprehending horror as the MC explains their true identity or the nature of the thing that’s chasing them… one can hope
Love her I dig her clothes and I love her true form (or is it the way she looks after her time on Earth? Must think about what I’m going to do about the true forms)
