God, you almost gave me a heart attack when Roach left the room. I thought I blew it and my heart was sinking to my stomach lol
Played the fourth chapter over and over again, it’s just sooo good and I think one of the reasons is that because the people in this game feel like people, not just some game characters.

Yay, Thanks! Anyway, i really love how well done the characters are.
And I also got a some questions about Tamara.
At first, we know that my male!Jonny have a story with Tamara. It was said that Jonny like to keep their circle small, and i also get a gist that Jonny and Tamara were flirting? I’m not really sure since their relationship has never been brought up again in chapter 4. I basically know nothing about her aside from that. Might be just because it’s still early, but will she shows up again in later chapters?
Also, In chapter 4, when we get to talk with Jonny after the cult stuffs, there are some options to ask about Johnny’s relationship with his family, Roach, and Fianna. I just think that it’s kind of weird that we don’t have an option to ask about his relationship with Tamara, especially after it was heavily implied that both of them have something going on in the earlier chapter.

@Runbunnyrun It’s a morbid thought. You wake up to have a drink of water, see the knives and a part of your brain is like “I wonder what would happen if I use them on me.” It can be off-putting if you happen to have those kind of thoughts on a daily basis and some smart-ass writer just throw them in there. But yeah, I’m glad my players were ok with it staying.

Jonny and Tamara have had heavy makeout sessions, if you need to know (and now I’m chuckling at the face he would make if MC knew that) but that’s it, and it’s been a while since their last one; since before he invited MC to Hellbender’s, actually. Roach knows, that’s why they tease Jonny when you enter the back room (if you chose to go to Hellbender’s).
Truth is things have been less than ideal between him and Tamara for some time now, and they were trying to talk through their problems when MC and Roach arrived. There’s some tension hanging in the air on that scene.
will she show up again in later chapters?
I’m not planning a big role for Tamara, no.

On one of the options, when discussing Jonny’s fantasy about St. George burning to the ground MC asks him about Tamara: if St. George stopped existing, Tamara would die too. Jonny answers that he doesn’t know what to say. It’s complicated. He likes Tamara, but a romanced Jonny likes MC more.
Maybe I’ll add the option to ask him where you stand if you’re flirting with him. Since asking about her when you can already do that on CH2 would only win you an exasperated sigh and a, “We had this chat already, Newman.”

Omfg ROACH LET ME LOVE YOOOOU…ok you let it, but love me the F back, you diiick!!!
Sigh. I get that he is prob stoic because he will ultimately secure our demise… (after we meet him, the “monster” mostly chases us with him near… but not “in” sight) if he isn’t chasing us…it seems like he is helping the hunter. Which makes me so sad. Johnny’s love story is adorable (he is also my type - AFTER Roach) Oh Roach. You can’t love and respect me at the same time (I have tried every scenario…even though I couldn’t love someone I didnt respect…which makes me super sad about Roach) I hate you and I love you…what a grand character. (Great job)

who needs Roach’s respect as long as I can crawl into bed with him anyway. If the only way to gain his respect is to treat him forcefully, so let the respect be.

Ok, so now I’ve finished a playthrough were I tried to only flirt with Jonny and here are some points I found adorable, and/or hilarious:

That Jonny get offended on Roachs behalf, when you turn them down.

That poor Jonny is the straight man in this trio, having to put up with Roach and MC who are (in my game) chaotic dumbasses.
And lastly something very interesting (and not really cute or hilarious)
- Whenever you aggressively flirt with Jonny I get this feeling along the line of a cat playing with a mouse before it eats it. It’s not that MC doesn’t care, but the predator vibe is SO much stronger compared to romancing Roach imo.
Now onwards to the Roach route, with side-by-side comparison of I slept with him and didn’t punch him in the cave, vs I didn’t sleep with him and still didn’t punch him vs. I didn’t sleep with him AND punched him.. And I second I also want a happy ending with Roach.

Ok, so, because I have a soft spot for sweet, expectations-damaged Jonny, I checked his romance scene first and did a squee. Now I’m hearing that
Roach, the creature I have the HIGHEST Friendship with, is going to leave my sweet, little Newman like an anime flashback?!
I DON’T CARE IF THEY ARE AN UNFATHOMABLE, ELDRITCH ABOMINATION! I DON’T CARE IF THEY TAILOR THEMSELVES TO APPEAL TO MC. I WILL THROW HANDS. One does NOT fuck with my MCs’ feelings!

Ok, I’m back. Still, though… REEEEEEEEEE. Ok, but Jonny has calmed me. Playing this chapter with accepting his feelings was so much nicer. I also now understand Roach a little better. Poor dear.
I get it. Relationships with humans are as messy as things get. I also realise that it would probably be pretty messy for two Great Old Ones (or whatever) to actually… y’know, date.
I appreciate that it was a soft rejection. Leaves a lil’ wiggle room. [ Leering at Horizon. ] I also appreciate Jonny’s acceptance of a decision that isn’t him. I’m saddened by his reaction to a decision that is him, though. Poor darling. I need a damn word with his parents, his and Fiama’s farewells um… reminded me of a thing.

I still love my man Roach.
His mere presence just makes my playthroughs so enjoyable. even tho he pissed me off at the end of this chapter 
My mc genuinely cares for him, more than she should, so it was a big No from her when he kept ogling that cultist and then randomly got mad and tried to end things. Like… excuse you. Meanwhile, to Roach I’m just like
I’m watching you, bud. He hurt my poor feelings, which is probably a sign I’m too obsessed but who cares. I love this story.
