Wasn’t there a rune warrior class? What cool stuff can they do?
Not really worth it, you’d be better served taking a second level in alchemist.
A rune warrior gets a bonus to some physical stats and like 30 to blades and magic but every option that it gave me I could’ve gotten from Full Metal 2.0 and there were a few other options besides.
You get runes across you body that powers you for farious different situational purposes(underwater diving, sudden power surge, increased defence…)
Woo! Went and made a new character from the first game and have finally got my perfect hero ending!
Could anyone invite me to the community guides group for the trilogy? Thanks in advance!

It’s public, such is Lord Neo’s generosity.
That and like half the forum was already invited so whatever, eh?
Something weird: so one of my MC’s is a follower of the unknown. At the end of the final fight, he prayed to the unknown during free fall, he died because evil under 50. Yet he was risen to the heavens to JOIN the unknown… was this intentional? If so you really have to wonder what exactly is the nature of this great unknown.
I’m not sure what’s more satisfying when dealing with that greedy merchant… putting her in the dungeons and executing her or sending Peter after her… I’m not sure what’s worse for her.
Have you ever been lectured for hours by a war cleric?
Let me tell you, it changes a person.
How is it possible to save both friends? I keep losing one…
Fiiiiiiinally got the Hero ending after playing the whole game through five times since the last chapter was released.
Now I can sleep.
That was a hell of a ride. I’m incredibly sad that it is over.
First of all, the stat choices remained a challenge even with some of mine maxed out due to the mixture of multiple stats and professions needed. This adds that suitable level of difficulty even for the hardcore and seasoned players such as myself. It kept me interested and made me think my choices through instead of blazing through with God stats.
Poppy was awesome. She actually reminded me greatly of a character I created in dragon age and instantly liked her. I didn’t see her in a romantic way, but as a best friend and companion for life. She, as well as the Consortium, made me change my views on demon summoning. I saw it as a diabolical magic that can only bring about chaos and destruction. Then I realised that Zusak ruined the image of it for me and I’m guessing many other players. It’s similar to soulburning, because it sounds terrible then it is instantly dubbed as evil, which isn’t the case. This magic can be used sensibly in the right hands and can be used for many good deeds. I was proud to pass the decree on legalising demon summoning to those properly trained in it as well as redeeming that soulburning is not evil. those were two of my favourite choices of this game.
You caught me off guard with Zusak’s true intentions and motivation as to why he summoned all those demons. I thought he was a mad man seeking immortality and power… Then I found out the reasons… And I pitied him. I pitied the man I had a deep hatred for through the last two games and realised that he was a man driven to insanity by grief. But in the end, there was only one way to stop him for good… I hope I brought him peace at last when I assured his death. I rarely ever change my opinions on characters, so this is a fine achievement.
I loved my companions as I always do. Theo stacking rocks in front of Jess’ room had me in stitches. What warmed my heart was giving my companions their own lovers, this is such a unique thing for a CS game! It’s the first time I have seen it done and I enjoyed finding every romance for my fellow companions… Not Jess though… Because Jess will always be MINE. She is my soulburning Queen with our daughter. Her softer side developed wonderfully, but still kept that arrogant and rude attitude we all grew to love. She is dark and snarky, but caring and protective of my MC. She is a wonderful character, well done.
The final battle… It had me in the edge of my seat. God I was so scared each and every one of my choices would either bring me a step closer to victory or cause me to lose a companion or part of my humanity. I never stressed and got into a final moment in a CS game that intensely EVER. It was damn powerful! Everything was on the line, there was no guarantee that I would still have anything at all if I lose. I HAD to win, everybody and everything was counting on me to do so. MAGIC SWORDING INTENSIFIES!
I managed to get the hero ending first try. I ain’t even lying. This made me happy and I managed to keep my humanity in the end. Petra became my royal wizard, the child I rescued is now my daughter’s protector and a diplomat, Theo got to bashing butts with Dura and Bran became my General (ended up liking the dude in the end.) oh, and me and Poppy are awesome friends. Jess became my Queen, who is a firm and respected leader that makes the hard choices when others cannot. Karl and Sir Grady… May you rest in peace in my mind and my heart.
To end my review… ORDER OF DRAGON KNIIIIIIIGHTS. BEST MOMENT EVER.
Thank you @Lucid for not only a game series, but an experience that made me more adept in stat games, grow to love a fictional world and made me cry at parts. (God damn you for the dream of Sir Grady… God damn you.) It was emotional, beautiful and exciting all in one. I do hope you make another game in the lands of Daria.
And I am excited to see what you do next! When one series is done, another will come from your great imagination! And to that, I wanna see if it is possible for you to top Lost Heir. Either way, I enjoyed this immensely and it is my favourite CS series of all time. Thank you, Lucid.
It’s possible to get a good ending with a good character. I didn’t use the walkthrough, but you do need a decent amount of artifacts if you are relying on Blades like I did. The Magic Shield has been the best item in the game for me so far, with Belt of Speed/Cloak of Spiders tying for #2 for bad shit avoided while using them. Lacey’s Glass Ball also gives you one auto-win as far as I can tell.
How do you romance lacey?
Can someone tell me about the Berserker class?
You need to go Gale/Gill’s route to help their mother into the Wilderness. Then, go up to Mazrim’s room and need to drink his potion bottle. You can get it if you spare his life, but it may be possible if you kill him.
Then in Lost Heir 3, there will be a choice to explore the berserker feel (same place where you pick the other class choices). I don’t know if there is any combat skill levels required.
Personality vice, what is the difference between the two summoner? All I got was one is a screw up, and another popular.
You have to successfully kill Thuja. A dagger is basically a must have at one point, as the fight is too close quarters for anything else. High agility helps, and if you have stealth or magic you can poison/shoot him with fire in the scenes before the battle.
Poppy is popular because she’s friendly, skilled and overall likable, The other one is a bully and incompetent (the one accosting Poppy when you first meet her) Now if you choose Poppy you get another summoner from class if Poppy dies in your escape, which can easily happen because of certain physical stats being too low, no matter how maxed out your attack stats are. A wrong choice here or there and its over. The one that replaces her is not a bad summoner, just inexperienced compared to Poppy.
Now, if you choose the bully over Poppy, I don’t know what to say. To each their own I guess. Not sure if the same summoner replaces them if they die, or if the bully even tries to help you in the escape.
One thing that I do know from my experience, was after 4 LH 3 playthroughs, only ONE time did I save Poppy and that was with my BAMF dragon. Instantly torches that douche of a teacher. Which started to make me try better at getting up my endurance stat. Because if you’re in pain and are struggling to attack in any way, if your endurance is too low, you fail and get hurt or just flat out lose. Highly annoying, I think Prestige classes make it easier, since the 3 times she died on me, I didn’t have one from LH 2 and hadn’t yet learned my Luck Mage/Catalyst or any prestige class yet all those times.
Can I get a non bias answer on the personality difference between Poppy and Syndie?
