The Lost Heir Trilogy

Seeing all these casual players whining about the game difficulty on multiple plattforms, I shal now refer to The Lost Heir as the ‘Dark Souls’ of Choice Of Games.

It may be biased but it’s a valid opinion.

  1. Syndie CANNOT get her own stone to pass the test so they hire Poppy to get one for them.
  2. Poppy has many stones and easily gets others no problem. Most of which are pretty powerful.
  3. Syndie rats you out AND tries to KILL YOU NUMEROUS times. If you want that kind of person on your team so be it.
  4. Do you really want someone with anger issues, relies on others to get stones they can’t get themselves to lead your expedition where the world hangs in the balance? Proving they are NOT knowledgeable enough or skilled for the position. Even if it works out due to story reasons.

There is no difference. They’re exactly the same after Vernex (and mostly the same even there).

Iirc this applies to both of them. Whoever you alienate ‘betrays’ you (they side with the Consortium over you before swearing any oath to you, that isnt betrayal). They both try to kill you and you in return can kill them.

Never said they betrayed you. I just said they ratted you out. Like a snitch. All to further their own gains. I never saw it as betrayal, because I never trusted him. I relished killing his ass by having the ground devour him whole. Now if Poppy who I grew to trust pulled that on me, THAT I would consider betrayal, since I considered her an ally. Good thing she doesn’t do that if you side with her.

  1. Syndie can. It’s her friend that hired Poppie. And she’s just trying to get the stone from Poppie for her friend because her friend had already paid Poppie to get the stone; Poppie, for whatever reason, decided to keep the first stone she got and get a second, not yet acquired stone, for Syndie’s friend for reasons that are never explained.
  2. Syndie has multiple stones just like Poppie if you’re friendly with her.
  3. Every time that Syndie rats you out or tries to kill you, Poppie rats you out and tries to kill you if you buddy up to Syndie instead of Poppie. Syndie saves you from the cockroach demon if you side with her; Poppie rats you out and tries to kill you in Vernex twice. Her whip-y demon just subs for Syndie’s flaming demon in all of the scenes; all of the other demons each summon in the scenes are otherwise identical.
  4. Don’t you want someone that stands by their weaker friends and helps them out when others try to cheat them on a deal to be on your side? As pointed out, Syndie doesn’t have a problem getting stones. Do you really want someone that cheats someone on a promised deal for no clear reason?

The both are meant to be interchangeable in almost every way as well as being somewhat relatable.

That’s a good in depth analysis I never would have discovered since I would never have chosen Syndie based on my first impression on the boat lol. From how you put it, it seems like Syndie is of a decent sort. Guess you really can’t judge a book by its cover, or in this case a book by its text.

As for Poppies reason, I assumed it was because the demon she was supposed to hand over was actually powerful. If that was the case, it would make sense she would keep it and try to get a different one for her deal. Since so long as she hands over a stone, she isn’t technically breaking her deal. My character was evil, so I would have done the same thing in her shoes. If I was good at that point, I probably would see it as wrong and dishonorable.

Edit:
On my current replay, I’m gonna try out Syndie thanks to your analysis. Thanks for that. Also, how is Syndie, is she hyper like Poppy or different if you side with her?

I didn’t really notice any difference whatsoever. I haven’t sat down and compared the scenes side by side, but my impression is that they’re basically identical with just the names and signature demons swapped. I vaguely recall their taunting on who gets kicked out of the card tournament being different from each other, but that’s about it. The only scenes that seem terribly unique to either character are the class scene and the bar scene.

Frankly, unless I have a character with high stealth that needs a little topping off (you can get +2 stealth from eavesdropping on Syndie and co in the bar without getting caught), I side with Syndie because she gets a +10 relationship bonus (from sitting in the bar with her and her friends) that you can’t get with Poppie. Plus I like Syndie’s flame demon more.

Is it possible to Romance Pope/Poppy?

I know you can kiss them at the campfire, but I don’t know what becomes of it, since by that time you’re with your RO if you chose one. I didn’t want to piss off Jess so I didn’t kiss Poppy. Who knows, maybe Jess will like her too and you can have a concubine. Since if you don’t romance Jess, that summoner is her RO.

I tried the kiss with no RO and the result was -20 Pope relationship and him suggesting I try that sort of thing with Lacey.

What was your relationship level at that time? If it was under 80 I would think it would fail like any other companion.

There are sublte difference between two summoners after Vernex. Poppy always shown as more childish/energetic, while Syndie more… serious?
I suspect there may be more if you romance them.

Poppy have one of my favorite replies as to why she said to Childrens of Oracle to start the War:
“They asked if I wanted them to kill the ones responsible for making the pit and attacking me. I said yes at first, but then I said no. Then I said maybe. I don’t know. I was hurt and worried, but I didn’t mean for them to start a war!”

To compare, Syndie’s answer in the same situation:
“…yes. When someone hurts you, you need to hurt them back. I didn’t intend for them to start a war, though!”

Finally played my very first MC.
As expected, gotten Monster ending, but it was worth it. After all, he was able to kill Zusak, pull K’Girr into mortal world and save his lovely Poppy twice(from Porter and from Invisible Demon).

Also, considering amount of Win Factor my headcanon says that after his transformation and departure army was able to finish of K’Girr.

And who knows, maybe someday Poppy find the way to return him into sanity… after all, she is specialized demonsummner.

What’s the Vampire lord class?

It’s class that you can acquire if you were bitten by vampire. You can be bitten while doing Petra’s friend quest in LH2.

I swear the Luck Mage class is really OP in the third game, it can save you in many situations and raising Magic and Arcane to learn it is also good for your characters. I frequently chose the Magic options during my playthrough and they turned out well most of the time.
Still prefer the Dragon Knight class which allow you to build up a group of Dragon Knight though

So bow do you romance the gypsy?

Can anyone tell me how to get the Siren class. I swear I saw it somewhere and assumed it was a bard sub class

Gotta be magical, perceptive and charming. Mainly charming.
