Help this was fire…must.have.more
@Clear Oh, thank you so much! This is such a nice comment. I’ve definitely thought about a traditional novel or graphic novel (the plot is very special to me haha), though I do really like the flexibility of interactive fiction. But genuinely, thank you–reading your comment made me smile c:
@M_M Haha, ty! I’m hard at work on chapter three <3
:)))Of course!!
I really like horror/thriller works that focuses around one cenario (you can’t leave place x, etc), like some others talked about the vibe of silent hill and from, would be great if we could experience some monsters like the black eyed children, and since we can aproach the city/fog logically and magically, making an ending for both can make ways for multiple playthrough. Following the silent hill vibes, you can write about cults and demons too and it will fit perfectly in the story.
@Lynch121 Thank you for sharing your thoughts!! I really enjoy the “you can’t leave x” format, too (probably obvious, since I’m writing a story based on it haha). There will definitely be monsters as the story progresses; I’m very eager to share with everyone what all comes next!
I’ve been plugging away at chapter three; it’s been fun so far! I’m very excited about the events of this chapter. I’ve also been sharing some portraits I’ve drawn of various ROs on tumblr; and it occurred to me I should definitely share over here, as well! The set isn’t complete, but if anyone is curious, portraits below!!
I fell in love with this game, the story is intriguing, can’t wait for the next chapter
@Martha Thank you so much! I’m glad you’re enjoying c:
Highkey this was awesome, the car ride was nerve wracking as hell and really set the tone well. Had me a bit scared to click next lol
@legitpro123 Haha, thank you so much!! I love hearing that people found scenes tense, it tells me I’m achieving what I’m going for! I really wanted that scene to feel tight and stressful–it’s one of my personal favorites I’ve written so far!!
What a creepy story. Honestly, I haven’t felt so off-put and curious about a world in a long time. I’m having a lot of difficulty trying to figure out what is going on since Peri and Beck have no idea what modern careers are nor adult schooling, and yet live in a town with modern coffee shops, a mall and are aware of genderfluid pronouns enough that one of them uses they/them–so just what the heck is going on? Are they in Purgatory??
P.S I really like Peri and Beck, they’re so believable as people and mesh well with my hostile-brother-obsessed-skeptic MC moreso than the others, and seeing the poly counter in the code is opening up a lot of fun possibilities for them all!
@yelhsa I’m glad you’re interested in the world!! I’ve had a lot of fun starting to slowly unveil the mystery. The mishmash of time is definitely intentional on my part–both for plot reasons, and to add to the feeling of confusion. I’m excited to dig deeper into why everything is the way that it is
And also I’m glad that you like them!! Writing those two is always a delight, especially together, and I’m super excited for their poly route!!
The only thing is that I ended up not really increasing anyone’s favoribility since i was too creeped out by the atmosphere and setting lol
I’ve bookmarked this story a while ago and now I’m really angry at myself that I didn’t read it sooner, lol.
I love your style of writing, how you describe the atmosphere and the interactions between the characters. I’m excited to learn more about the mysteries of this small town and get to know the not yet introduced other characters. They all sound very interesting and multifaceted!
I’m looking forward to the next update!
I really love the vibes of this story, I live in a region that gets really foggy at certain times of year and this really captures the essence of how it feels to be confronted with this overwhelming and omnipresent force.
Really loved meeting the characters and interacting with them, they’re all really interesting and had distinct dynamic with the MC that I really enjoyed.
I absolutely love “fog horror” and you really nail it, I love the weird and mystical vibe and the creeping horror of the situation at hand. I’m definitely going to keep an eye on this story going forward.
@Black_Rose Ahhh thank you so much!! Both for the kind words and the typos; it’s always appreciated ^.^
@bl00dragon And thank you as well!! Your comment made me smile, which I needed today. I’m glad you enjoyed it and that I’m capturing that ‘fog horror’ vibe for you!! It’s one of my favorite concepts <3
Thank you both for reading!!
Can you give an option to customise the appearance of other characters too? (Only if you wish)
@Mesha2007 Hello! I’m sorry, but this isn’t something I’ll be adding. The other characters are all very set when it comes to things like personality and appearance. Thank you for the question, though!
Yeah I understand, sorry for asking such a question
@Mesha2007 Oh no need to apologize at all! There’s no harm in asking c:
