I don’t know if you are planning this but would it be possible to add in a short text of what really happend either at the beginning of the game(as in what happens to the clan) or when a event happens differently to how it historically happend I do know that would break immersion so maybe it could be a option that’s off by default or you enable or disable it at the beginning after or before the translation
I do also know that would be very time consuming to find the information out so I get it if that’s why you wouldn’t add it

I’ve been doing good, thanks for asking!
I haven’t gotten the opportunity to make much progress recently, due to my personal schedule. In all honesty, while I’m hoping for the contrary, I wouldn’t expect much in terms of updates until June/July when I get out of the military. Maybe late May.
The unfortunate reality is that I’m not a full time writer and doing my mandatory service is a time-consuming activity that leaves me with little time to work on personal projects.
I’m as motivated as ever to work on the project and I’m hope I’m able to release more content for you guys as soon as possible!

Now the good news is that I completed all of my mandatory courses weeks ahead of schedule due to heavy effort put in (unfortunately, my writing during this period took a major hit), which means that my schedule has changed from 8 - 20 to 8 - 16, tripling my amount of free hours and giving me significantly more time to write (and more importantly, giving me more time to write consecutively, it’s frustratingly difficult to keep a red line of research and writing when you have to grab an hour here and an hour there).
Hope my response keeps things a bit more transparent!

Figured I’d update people on what I’m working on at the moment now that I have more time to write.
Right now I’m doing quality passes, implementing the mechanical changes kckolbe has been working on, improving my writing quality, making sure my content isn’t dramatically historically inaccurate, as well as addressing the various feedback that you guys have left over the months (thank you for helping me make the story better!)
I know that it sucks that tackling chapter 3 isn’t the first target of my work but being a work-in-progress book, quality passes are an unfortunate necessity. I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t give me great satisfaction to be able to tackle the writing mistakes of past me, though. I might finally be able to do the test reads of my work without sinking into my chair from cringe.
Thank you all for staying patient and I hope I’m able to get you guys some more content soon.

Love the game so far and am really impressed by how detail orientated the author is. The only thing that I would like being changed however, would be adding the option of customising your MC’s name during character creation

Normally I’d agree but here I’m here I’m ok with it I’ve played games either in different time period or different location or just has a bunch of stuff going on and I’ve typed in a totally normal name not knowing it won’t fit the setting at all so in this case I’m totally fine with it.

Replying to an old post, but yes. MLM should be included if you can manage. It was just as real then as it is now. If you decide not to, that’s fine (it’s your story, write what you want!) but let us know in advance so we understand the content. I won’t read a story that doesn’t let me be who I am, regardless of historical dangers/consequences. I can accept those, I can’t accept denial or erasure of identity.

Trust me, it wasn’t a question of historical accuracy, there’s always a way to write LGBT+ stories in a way that fits the historical setting.
It was more so a question of me being rather inexperienced with writing romance, especially for a sexuality different from my own. Originally I hadn’t really intended to include any romance at all but I came to the realization that that decision was more to do with my comfort zone in writing than it was about what the story needed.
For brevity, I did actually decide to include a gay romance. I’d rather challenge myself than produce a story that feels exclusive to certain identities.
I’m unfortunately still sticking to a gender-locked MC though, simply due to the massive amount of work that adapting the story for a woman would require. I’m not trying to excuse excluding an entire, very underrepresented, half of the population, it’s just not within the scope of what I can achieve at the moment. I’ve thought about writing a gender-locked female or gender-choice main character in the future but I’m laying off on any solid thoughts about different books until I’m finished with this one.
Thanks for the opportunity to clarify and I’m glad to see there’s still engagement here, just came back from my final exercise so I’m in the endgame for the military finally, just 3 weeks of cleaning and equipment care left until I’m out.

Write that you comfortable to write so you don’t lose motivation to finish the story, many authors lose motivation because of it. Don’t think too much and stay healthy, see you on next update

I just finished the demo, I loved it, I’m going to play it again just to see if there’s anything that can be improved on but narrative wise it’s great

Not good to ask authors about such against the forum rules as well based off this post and what youhave connected it to there is no relation to such a thing it was there real world life situation.
