… actually, I take that back. My phone needs an exorcism now and I’m sending you the bill.
Spoilery but contextless endgame update: it wasn’t exactly how I was thinking about it while writing it, but I realized earlier tonight that at a certain moment in the climax, it’s possible (though also easily avoidable) to give an inspirational speech so bad that two people die.
Yes, you are one of the people.
I dare you to run that sentence through DALL-E Mini.
I don’t know if these are accurate pictures of the prompt I entered, but they sure are something!
They definitely all look like they’re trying to shove their head back from their face, but finding it a little harder than expected, regardless of the number of arms they have. Although a couple are perhaps more pulling than shoving?
Thanks for being super cool and playing along!
Lol the last two got me .
It’s not so much about stats as it is about ending up in a position in the end where you have access to the Stars.
Is there still going to be a closed beta?
Yes, the game will go up for official beta testing when it’s complete, the same way as other Choice of Games titles.
Sucked that there is no save system, but its good.
Bad news: The Dashingdon demo is no longer available.
Good news: This is because the beta now is! You can see the thread for how to apply here: Stars Arisen - BETA TESTERS NEEDED
A few things this contains:
- Approximately 460,000 more words than were ever included in the demo, for a total word count around 1.1 million
- Chapter save checkpoints
- Some other stuff
Thanks so much for all the feedback so far - looking forward to seeing more in the beta!
Nice close world count to the two other games that I’m very much looking forward to. Hopefully it turns out to be as replayable in the end as they did in there betas.
I’m going to be one of your beta testers, and I’m super excited - I’ve been looking forward to this one! Is there any sort of feedback you’re looking for in particular, anything you’d like us to pay special attention to?
The last few chapters are very complicated, so the biggest thing is probably continuity there.
Best of luck with beta testing, I’m sure it’ll be amazing
Wow, one million! Congratulations, Abby!
