I have! I love it. I looked through as much of it as I could afford, looking for changelings, before I finally gave up. Turned out to be in the “races of the kingdom” book. It was a total rippoff, but I’m glad I did. I don’t remember most of the stuff in it, but I’ll definitely revisit later and write it down.
The lore around the Firstwood is another thing that I hope to see expanded in the future books. I might just be a little too obsessed with the Firstwood to begin with, there are so many possibilities with it.
I’ve been curious but haven’t tested out that section yet to see if there are any visible changes to stats and such, aside from the priest commenting on likeness, depending upon how MC is built & whom you choose. What do you mean exactly by “find a connection” with Cri (or any god)? Have you seen some bonuses or changes to story?
If you return to the temple in the latter half of the game after visiting it the first time its mentioned by the priest that there must be some connection iirc. The statue of the deity of your choice starts doing weird things like moving, etc
But with Cri I was wondering what your stats had to look like for the priest to see a likeness. I get him to see a likeness with every other deity and whatever build I’m using with the right stats except for with Cri
I assume you mean the situation when you go back to the temple in chapter 6 and are confronted by Barrow’s fire wall.
You need at least 3 faith points to have your deity’s statue dispel the flames. With more than 4 points (so at least 5), you get an achievement.
How many faith points you get is determined the moment you choose your deity, which you can do either in chapter 2 or chapter 6 when you go to the temple.
These are the conditions for followers of Cri to get faith points. They are actually mostly depending on your world-state in Evertree Inn.
Cri follower faith points
When you choose a deity in the first place.
Lamuel/Leah died when confronting the dryad. They were either killed by MC or Gunther.
@thomb there is an error in the code if the MC is a duelist, both for an import or a new one.
The first is for the import:
set stealth round((3*perception)/8)
It should be guile instead.
The second is for a new MC:
set observation round((5*perception)/8)
It should be stealth and guile respectively
@ThomB
I was so delighted to find out that there was a sequel to Evertree. I enjoyed the first book so very much & dare I say it??? Oh I must!!! This one is even better. Thank you for taking us into the world of Evertree & the City of Lux. I look forward to reading more about this charming world & the enchanting characters that live there.
I don’t really understand the peacekeeper class.
I mean yeah, I like the Idea, but if I was a mage at first in the first game, it’s better to make a druide. I still have my boost in compassion and in magic but I have also a boost in perception.
Ok, peacekeeper has a slightly better compassion stat but comparing it’s 61 vs 59…
Sacrificing my observation for two points seem meh.
Ok I Can choose to have a better spellcasting than a better will (but it’s not really a problem since Inwas going to work on it with levelup) but I don’t know…
Still, I really like the idea so I think I will go for it and make a peacekeeper anyway, but it still seem a little weak compare to other class to me.
Not sure about all possibilities, but I’ve seen it influence the way someone interprets what you say. If you are a more determined person saying something suddenly compassionate (or vice versa), it rings false.
In the demo of Lux, the captain of the guard relationship will increase some of he reads truth from you.
That’s right. A high compassion skill is good to sooth people and make them trust you.
But druid began with a boost in compassion, just slightly lighter than the peacekeeper. I do want to know if this class has something spécial or not.
I’m going with it because it is logical with how I resolve the dryad’s little problem (and Can I save Isaria the elven artist? I never could) and I want to rp m’y Brownie to the best but still… If I just look at the skill, druid IS a better option (great will, wich was what I wanted) with a boost in compassion and a bonus in observation (that I don’t have with the peacekeeper).
I stand to m’y choice, but I can’t help to wonder.
So this is something that I’ve noticed as well and will be addressing both in Lux and when Sordwin receives it’s next update. I don’t like to change content in released titles where I can help it as I think it’s a bad habit to alter something people have already bought. Rest assured that the changes I do end up making will be small and are to allow a smoother and more balanced transition into book 3.
The only change in Sordwin will be that the boost to Compassion/Determination for Peacekeepers and Slayers will be notably better than that of any other class. No stats other than C/D in any class will be changed and it shouldn’t make any negative difference to anyone’s playthrough!
In Lux, peacekeepers and slayers will only have 1 good stat (compared to the two in other classes) but having an exceptionally high compassion/determination will yield another small reward which will hopefully make up for this. This reward will also be available to other classes, if they put time into maximising their compassion/determination. It will just be easier to achieve for peacekeepers and slayers.
In addition, in book 3, the classes are much more than just stat boosts. Each will have its own mini-story/mystery to uncover so for anyone choosing roleplay over optimisation, you will hopefully be rewarded
Thanks again for the feedback. I’d been thinking about this for a while and seeing that I wasn’t the only one thinking it was the incentive I needed to address the issue!
