That’s very interesting.
The gods and faith will feature in Book 3 and no scene in Sordwin has been coded to lock you in or out of a decision in Lux regarding the strength (or existence) of your faith; but I shall try to make sure the language of the story reflects that freedom and fluidity in the next book.
I was confused because when he first asked I said I don’t believe in gods. His response was YOU DON’T HEAR ME YOU WILL CHOOSE A PATH AND A GOD TO SERVE… and all about summit my will to the path and he started shouting at me…
I was trying to find WHERE’S THE MANA BURN choice. ?
@ThomB also for mages i think choose a element we think we are more attuned I think have lots of sense. And it has no too much work.
I meant this character obsessed with the fire She thinks she gained special powers affinity with fire màgic and always choose it
I actually quite like the freedom to choose which element magic users can fight with. It really makes you think about the setting you’re currently in. I’m pretty sure I nearly burned down a ship when I was inside the Mighty’s wooden hold, so you can’t use fire for everything.
You don’t understand my point. I was talking about a choice (most flavour) That say You have a special affinity with a element maybe weaker in other. Or say you are equally in all. Not unlock ONLY a element. Is a very common thing in Role playing choose a magic discipline that you are better at learning. And In base of that I found funny for instance a druid that after spare the Dryad think is better in earth magic and nature … Is a role element
Got a couple of name-related bugs in the last chapter. I forgot to screencap the first one but I believe they’re probably connected. I let the shapeshifter get their face eaten, and Ruby was supposed to come to MC’s rescue when they charged the observatory. Or so I infer, since the name was missing.
Then there’s this:
Thanks, I’ll take a look!
Edit: Think I found it! That was a very odd error. Will include it in the next update.
You did not need my stats, but you’re getting all my stats!
Xanthine a.k.a. Misty, a brownie mage with scholarly aspirations.
Her stats and relationships behind the fold…
I didn’t know that Orion could lose his face to a lantern ! If I did I would have pushed him into the arms of one and get off the island.
Oh, no. He survived on his own, after Misty bailed on him – after having tried every spell she knew and every weapon she had on the hooded lantern. Naturally, he’s a little miffed with her.
Haha fantastic, thank you! Always good to have sample stats for testing book 3! Xanthine sounds like a great character
In Sordwin I selected a different dream job [ranger instead of scout], but in discussion with Ori when hiding together one of my MC’s options still says the previous [scout]. Is it supposed to be that way? Like, my MC really changed their mind later…?
Yup, the game remembers both. If Ori’s question was ‘what do you want to be’ it should say ranger. If the question was ‘why did you leave your home’ the game will use your original ambition. The backstory part of the stats screen will also reference the change of direction following the events of Evertree.
Hope that makes sense. Of course it could have been a typo haha. Let me know if you think it didn’t make sense and needs correcting (with a screenshot or detailed description of the situation)
Thank you!
Is it too spoilery to know if D would actually prefer a furnished apartment in Marble Hill, or an entire house in the market district?
I feel like closet space would be an issue in an apartment… Unless they don’t actually keep the plethora of outfits they cycle through?
Got to say really love the sequel! Evertree inn was a really good book but sordwin now boosted it to one of my favorite series so far! Especially how its able to juggle the mystery, adventure and romances! And i love how it doesnt sacrifice old characters for new ones and i hope its a trend that continues!!! Also lamuels character arc had me swooning cant wait to try other variations! Thank you for a wonderful game!
Hello! I got Evertree two months ago and Sordwin last month. I really enjoy the story my aspiring druid elf Zveira & her beau Lamuel are traversing.
However I keep running into problems in the conversation with Jewel when the gang splits up the second time…
I try to do the “friendly” method, but options that sound friendly to me end in several reminders to be FRIENDLY and eventually I lose her trust and fail the conversation.
I’ve resetted my progress several times trying to get that one convo right, and it’s kinda stressful sweats
Anyone know how the Jewel convo is supposed go if I’m an female elf mage/druid trying to be friendly in getting answers?
It helps if you meet Sebastian before Jewel (go to the tawern before going to the observatory). If you mention you’ve meet Sebastian and he is looking for her, she’ll trust you enough to let you in.
Edit: Also welcome to the forum!
Edit 2: Oh, wait. The second time? You mean when you interrogate her at her home? Uh, sorry, I’d have to check that out again to refresh my memories. My guess would be that for the “friendly” method you’d have to compliment her when it’s offered? Tbh I interrogated her only once, and I don’t remember getting any new clues for my efforts there.
For some reason I got better trust with Jewel when I played the intimidation role rather than being friendly. EDIT: The answers I choose are directive, like “tell me” rather than asking “could/would you”, etc.
Plus, I don’t think she’s used to people being friendly with her, actually. She won’t trust that well.
But possibly also of you let her feel superior to you? Or lie, if you’re good enough at it, as if her wealth-equal? I’d have to play that again…
Cari-san _ I’m curious… Since my MC generally chooses to interrogate Jewel after visiting the observatory: What is your primary way to get more info? Or do you prefer to enlist the town to help…?
Thanks for the welcome~!
Mm-hm that is what I try for.
There would be the obvious intimidating/straightforward options, and stuck-up highborn/lying,
but there would be two others that don’t seem to a clear anything—even friendly;
or both kinda come off as friendly to me. So that’s when I run into issues…
BI think it’s the subservient options I keep confusing with friendly as some instances they both come off similar to me…(?)
Considering Zveira’s personality, intimidation seems too intense for her.
I might try the wealth-equal one since she did similar in Evertree.
But I have her dress scantily this time around, would that make it more difficult to pull that off you think?
