"Pon Para and the Unconquerable Scorpion"—Raise an army to save reality itself!

Thanks for the help!
So once I finish the first game and I upload my save to an email, I then choose “Restore saves” upon starting a playthrough on the second game , correct?
Apologies for all the questions but I’m a little bit confused

Except tablets, because tablets.

In the first game I’m pretty sure I caused all the named people in Fort Ulgas to die but I can somehow get them as helpers in the second game. By named people I mean (Chelicca, Ecnifien, Twane, and Vaspet) [Minus the traitor depending on who it is and that one person I sometimes fail to save from Teija]

I think this is always Vaspet, unless they’re the traitor.

Nah for me it was Ecnifien so I think it’s random.

It doesn’t matter. The only difference between them are what you/your troops are called and a slight stat variation.

Usually that would be how it goes with most. Lost heir is probably the best/worst example. The extra flavor is still nice though

Patch pushed!

  • Removed several hard-coded *bug lines; now there’ll just be a missing line if I didn’t anticipate a possibility, not a game-stopping bug
  • Fixed several “taberna” entries where the text talks about the cool bar you own in Mytele even if you don’t own a cool bar in Mytele
  • Fixed various bad line-breaks and incorrect character status reports (living characters described as dead, etc.) in the stats page
  • Rewrote the first Col conversation so he doesn’t offer you “an end to your exile” when you’re not an exile
  • Minor grammar/agreement/flow stuff

Are the tablets not fixed yet, or did they run away from the patch notes, as tablets are wont to do?

There actually was one tablet fix in there, but he didn’t say anything about it in the patch notes. But I don’t know that he’s figured out all of the problems.

Do you know which fix it was?

The Emerald Tablet bug is fixed. Minor spoilers for Pon Para 1: Previously, PP1 never actually set has_emerald_tablet to true even though you definitely get it in every playthrough. That was why it acted like you didn’t have it in PP2.

As for the three “collectible” tablets, I’m pretty sure they should all be showing up properly now, but I’ll keep an eye on it if more bugs appear.

So, if I understand correctly, that’s a bug fix for Labyrinth, not Scorpion?

The code was fixed in Labyrinth, but the bug only shows up in the second game.

Edit: Which reminds me, @jasonstevanhill, did you or someone else push an update for Labyrinth too? Because that needs an update if the tablets are to show up correctly in the new game.

Has anyone been able to get option to attack Galimar for the Dark Ax? From what I understand, you have to first set your goal to use the Dark Ax and then fail the stat check to secure an alliance, but I keep passing it no matter what I do. I built a character with 0 in diplomat and scholar and still couldn’t fail it.

It is random, i played and it was twane the archer captain. I think theres 4 clues(shoe type/voice/cape color/knife?)

Did whatever fix was made to Labyrinth update anything about the Codex?

There should be updates to the inventory (tablets showing up correctly now), and there were a few separate fixes that resolved character status (characters showing up dead when they should be alive, etc.).

Not the Codex though? Okay.
