I love the imbued and the first edition of Hunter, theres something very compelling about this early internet era hunters who where always missing pieces of the puzzle, and how the imbuement has changed their lives and view of the world forever. I know some people perfer normal humans, but I like how imbuement was handled, the world was marching towards the end, and the messengers, whoever they are, have started giving seemingly random people these gifts in an attempt to save the world(?). Theres a lot of conflicting views and discussion on the hunt in hunter-net, and you can see how imbued are not the most sane, and can slip into becoming a danger for the people they are trying to protect. Second sight is also very fun to have because it completely nullifies monsters attempts of mind manipulation if used correctly, and can lead to tense situations where you donāt want them to know that you know that theres something wrong. Imbued arenāt built to last, even the friendly ones mere presence seems to hurt supernatural, like counting for paradox activations for any unlucky mages. I hope at some point we can get cyoas that use the old world of darkness material, Iām not particularly keen on the newer stuff. Reckoning 2e should have been a reboot of vigil instead of using the reckoning name, which for 1e was used because hunter was part of the end of the world line along with wraith the oblivion and demon the fallen leading to the time of judgement
Very excited for the release date of Glenkildove!
Humble has the WoD books bundled for another 18 days, including the core books for anyone who wants to brush up their gaming skills in anticipation of what coming here!
Iām aware itās just an estimate, but a dark late December night does sound like a great moment to start playing this story
Iāll keep praying for a Mage game to be released! Anyone know if Choice of Games publishes only settings that have a 5th edition?
Hopefully it stays on the 2024 estimation.
Some authors may only interested in working with new 5th editions for a few reasons. First, it probably really sucks to work on a game for years and then have a new rule system pull the rug out from under you. Second, for all that work, it really helps to have World of Darkness excited to promote your game along their new rule book.
But I donāt think working from a 5th edition is a requirement, as long as you donāt use any outdated terminology that World of Darkness wants to avoid (like old clan names).
Oh absolutely, not much of a reason to do Vampire 20th when 5th Edition has been released. The reason Iām curious is because of settings that havenāt (yet?) released a new edition, like Mage or Demon
Poor Demons didnāt even get a 20th Anniversary
Thereās a Demon book in WoD?
Iām like 95% sure that Kyle talked briefly about a possible MtA game on YT around the time BoHN released. So maybe weāll get one in the future.
Hereās a great playlist about Demon: The Fallen.
Weāve also got a Hunter: the Reckoning game coming out.
I havenāt gotten any of the WOD games so far, but the Hunter game looks exciting.
Any new WOD games on a horizon?
The deal anmounced in 2023 was for ten games through 2027, so there are going to be eight more eventually, but no titles/authors/details have been announced yet.
There has been rumors floating around that Cataphrak (of Infinity Sea fame) has been working on a WOD game
Calling it now. Itās going to be a Mage game of high politics in the Chantry.
As much as I would really really really really love a Mage game I doubt one will come out until the next edition of it
Conceptually, a Changeling the Lost would be fantastic if pulled off correctly but Iām biased since I like titles like I, the Broken One / Broken Lenses / Fallen Hero. Something bad has already happened, now its over so how do you move on (or choose not to)?
Hmmā¦hoping we get to see some medieval actions!
